AVP-R Spoilers!!!!!

Did you and others go in your awesome Alien costumes Tim? Got any pictures if you did?

Sorry bro, no pics and no suits. :cry It was a last minute planned outing...in fact I was having dinner when my bud called and asked me about it. Took me 2 mins to decide, rush thru the rest of dinner, grabbed a quick shower and my passport and headed out the door. :)

Stay safe,

Tim.

There's alot of assumption on the fact that this is what happen Saxter, but as a hardcore Pred/Alien Fan, it would be nice to actually have some proper continuity rather than alot of ifs bro. Still, you paint an interesting alternate continuity format. :)

Fact remains, SCAR was brought onboard the Huge Mothership at the end, and placed in the very same chamber we know that was seen in the huge Mothership from the beginning. And he seems to be in the very same chamber when the 'incident' happened.

Still, it's done with. Wolf was great...and so were the Aliens...but that's it for moi.

Stay safe,

Tim.

Unless...the huge mothership has docking bays for smaller ships...in which they put Scar on one of the smaller ships within the Mother ship and when they got into orbit they had undocked the smaller ship to do it's seperate runs. That could be a thought on it.

Saxter bro, are you trying to somehow 'save' this movie :confused

While I'm pretty sure the Mothership would have had smaller 'scout/drop' ships attached, to me, fact remains that in that very same chamber room where SCAR was laid to rest, was also the same room that fired the laser that dug the tunnel seen in the first AvP, remember? And that was definitely fired from the Mothership. :)

Stay safe,

Tim.

Let us not forget the most important part...
Here the predators have all this great technology, faster than light travel, plasma guns, targeting lasers, space ships, retracting nets etc. etc. etc. Yet one stray blast from a shoulder cannon blows a hole in the wall and the entire ship crashes. Uh, ya....riight...:(

Indicating it can't possibly be the mothership. Think of it this way, you shoot a gun in space...inside a space shuttle...you can more than likely rupture something. So imagine a energy blast, which I am sure is quite powerful. Where they didn't intend to have to deal with any kind of firing within the hull.

being a fan of alien, aliens, predator, predator 2 played the avp games till my eyes would bleed SOOOO I LOVED THIS MOVIE, come on guys its not ment to be a new ground breaking movie its a fanboy movie if you like action scenes stupid teenagers (LOL and of corse the black guy gets like 2 lines before geting owned and that blond chick what a moron LOL) and some people getn owned by space aliens its what you ask for, its a town with lots of aliens and 1 pred you think 1 alien is gonna sneak around and kill the whole cast ?!?! suspensfuly like alien NO it gonna take alot in a larger area, I went with my friend and she was jumping outa her seat the whole movie it really depends on what you expect and how much of a fan, its an action movie not horror like alien, maybe when you can scrounge up 20 million to make your own alien vs predator then do it till now sit back and watch what other people do with their money and minds nothings perfect if you go back and watch aliens it looks so cheese compaired to todays films but its still a classic .

I thought the movie was average. The fight scenes were awesome and some reminiscent of "aliens." A few things i would've changed is Jesse not getting killed (very easy on the eyes), predalien laying eggs in women, and the predator skinning the officer. We spend so much time developing the human characters; then having Jesse die was a kick in the face. What was the point? If they were killing off her character, we shouldn't develop her character (also taking precious screen time away from the predator). Common sense and rules we learned in the Predator films didn't seem like they applied here. The Predator was getting rid of evidence of their existence, so why did he leave his prized kill hanging for the humans to find. Also why did he kill the officer if he ran? In the Predator films the audience learned of the Predator's motives for killing. If a prey didn't have a weapon or appeared weak then he/she was unworthy. The officer may of had a gun, but he was definantly running away and not pointing a gun. Anyone agree or disagree?

the part about the cop he had a gun so its a fair fight he ran! um Hes Called a Predator for a reason he saw a chase he got his hunt on = dead cop in tree, he got rid of the aliens messes because *** are the humans gonna think when they find dead aliens/humans killed in such a strange way sure the preds leave their kills up hanging but if you see it from the preds view his mess no1 should find but they do lol alien mess well your gonna come across it sooner then a dude way up in a tree.....so he tried to cover up the big mess his buddies made from the first film ...

Walshafett,

You called ALIENS a cheese???

Try posting that on the Hunter's lair, or the Legacy and see what kind of reponse you'll get dude. 8)

You are entitled to your own opinion but the fact remains that the Hunters have been considered honourable Hunters in every sense, as establish in P1 and more so in P2 and in the Graphic Novels that followed.

Wolf was considered one of the best Hunters around and for him to take out a running deputy and then skinned him for all to see, while trying to clean up the mess...just doesn't jive dude. Not with the 'tradition' set by the first few movies.

If anything else, yes, he has every right to take out the deputy for spotting him, but he should have destroyed the body, just as he did with the rest.

And one last note, punctuation please.

Stay safe,

Tim.

I also called Aliens a classic. All I was saying if you compared aliens to a more modern movie it looks like cheese. Not hating on the movie what so ever I like the dated look and feel to these films such as first starwars.

So if humans are different and have different thoughts and opinions and fallow different rules and laws who's to say these "honourable hunters" can't bend the rules once and awhile just like we silly humans do;) it's just a movie guys don't get to worked up, throw yourself into a strange situation your not gonna fallow everything you'v been taught to the T,You just might have to do something a little extreme.

On another Note anyone ever notice Cpl Hicks from aliens has the same shot gun he uses in terminator :p

Well...in Terminator it is actually different. Aliens he used a shotgun that had no stock on it to begin with. In Terminator, he found the average police shotgun that has a wood stock on it, in which he sawed off near the handle. They were close but 2 diff shotguns.

Yeah, Kyle Reese and Cpl Hicks characters were both awesome. Would of been nice to see him in Alien 3...as for Terminator...I am hoping they bring Reese back for the next movie.

The thing that made me mad was they didn't go back to save Hudson but they went for the bratty kid. At least Hudson went out shooting.

game over man game over! lol Hudson was also the "punk" Arny got his threads from in Terminator and Bishop was a cop :p yes *** alien3 and 4 were terrible and I'm Stating they were horrible movies and anyone can argue with me on this. I feel so bad for what they did to Ripley's character in these films. come on some floating prison ship or something LAME what the movie was intended to be was way over budget or something so they made it a prison in space with some dog alien.... come on only one babe and shes bald and kicks more *** then the guys.... alien 4 well it was different the aliens were cool but the whole cloning and another android kinda got old it had some good parts but wasn't a solid movie to me. Even though after watching all the alien and predator movies I was walking into avpr expecting the same stuff from the previous films I just wanted to see the pred go at it with some xenomorphs and some humans just for kicks and turned out to be more entertaining then alien3and4 we all have our opinions so lets hear them :)

Well, I finally got to watch this over the weekend. As a connoisseur movie critic, I would say it was a junk movie, made only to cash in on two dying franchises. However, as a fan of both franchises, I was very happy and very excited to finally see some action!!! The first AVP was such a letdown, not only having a super-weak story, but also having NO ACTION and the little action there was, was terrible! After years and years of wishing for a good AVP fight... I got it in AVPR! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Predator kick some Alien butt!!! The human element in the movie was totally forgettable. Not a single "charcter" there. Just cookie cutter meat for the grinder. Really sad and pathetic when you think back to the humans in Aliens and the humans in Predator. Each and every one was great. Oh well. Still got my Predator goodness and walked away happy!

it's true.

there was more action between the humans than with aliens fighting the cleaner predator. which surprised me.

i was happier with the comics....

Right on, Braks! It's all about the Preds.....and this one was the biggest bad-*** we've seen yet. I mean, look at him.... he already knows there's a special Hybrid running around Earth, and goes after him (and other Aliens) time and time again with no fear, where as one drone Alien took out two Preds in the first AVP, this one in AVP-R goes after multiple Aliens by himself and prevails in scenes. Also note he's the least armored Pred they've every had onscreen and yet he's the toughest they've portrayed.
