Sorry guys, I just thought to mention about the dates that they tentatively posted. I have been a member for much longer that I deserve. I'll shoot synasp, a moderator over there a PM to see what's the deal. Sorry to get your hope up..
Ok, the list announcing registration dates is closed, but I did hit synasp with this;
"Hi! As you can probably guess, the folks over the THD are asking about the registration. The dates are set for 02.01.2009 to 15.01.2009. The folks have not been able to register, up until a few minutes ago. Is there some delay I should inform them or what?."
I hope that this delay is only becayse the new year, and that everyone that wants can join in. I will keep watch, and keep you informed, if no-one helps you first.

I dunno. I can ask about it. Still, it should not take much more than a day or so. Given the time of the year, there might, just might be some delays, which are quite understandable. I'll bother Synasp about this..

Um... this is probably a stupid question, but what's the RPF?
RPF is an acronym of the Replica Prop Forum. It covers all movie prop related issues, and ha much information for Fettish also. If I recall correctly, the TDH was created after if became clear that the RPF forums could not handle that amount of research and discussions, but it needed it's own forum. Just go and see for yourself; http://www.therpf.com. I'd suggest that you register now, as the registration is open only for two weeks. And, BEFORE you can post in the General discussions or the Junkyard, you need to be a member for 90 days, and with post count of 20.
I registered a few times and will be selling those extra registration names on Ebay to the highest bidder once reg closes...Muuuhahahahahah! I kid of course...

Synasp has not informed me about the activation times. I can only guess that they are swamped over there with the new memberships.
It could even be, if they didn't want to be bothered by dong it more than once, that they could wait for the two week registration time to be over, and activate all accounts at once. If they wanted to...ya know. :b

MANY of you have no confirmed your email addresses. You MUST confirm in order to activate your account. Please check your email inbox or spam folder in case it got placed there. Be sure to add therpf.com account to your "safe email" list."

I got the email and clicked the link, but now it says I'm in the moderation queue waiting to join the forum... I can log in, but I can't post.
I think the RPF should have a special section called "guys with big egos bickering like old women". It would end up being the most posted to section. Anyway, good luck with the registration!

Yeah, they must be swamped with new members. I have no idea just what the procedure with new membership activation is, but I trust that it WILL take some time. If there are few dozen guys here who registered, and a same amount from RPF, and other sites where the info was posted, there are more than enough work for the moderators.
Still, even though you have to wait a bit, at least the good news is, that you are on the doors, and only need to wait until they are opened.
And remember, before the 90 days are gone, you are not allowed to post on the Junkyard or General discussion forums, so your initial 20 posts that are needed mus be posted on the other forums.
Cheers guys, we will see each other in there. I just hope that you can do more over there than I have... I feel bad for you guys, I got there without problems years ago, and have not don much, while you guys have trouble getting in...

well no they are not. but it is a general prop forum with quite a large and active community - so not merely restricted to one genre or another
also with the number of people who do post there - theres lots of useful info on there, and having access to the search tool alone is great for someone new like me

I think they're approving people with real email addresses first (AOL, Qwest, Comcast, etc.), then doing the people with free email address later (Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail)...
So, if you've registered with a free email address they'll get to you later.
