Army of Two Mask

Looks Great Tim can't wait to see pics from the CC:)
I'd like to get togeather on another project soon.
I'll have pics of the Iron Man in the next few days.
Brian

Brian,

Thanks! Sure, LMK when you're good to go. ;)

Stay safe,

Tim.

Jarvis -- DEINITELY interested in picking one of these up; however, I'm a college student, and money is VERY tight at the moment... hoping to pick up a second job soon, but I don't know what's going to happen. The jobs dry up in summer when all the college kids leave town... there's so fewer people to service that businesses aren't looking to hire.

Can I order one later on down the road, or do you think the mold might not be usable in the later future? :\

Hi xero, I hope everything goes well and that the summer break is good to you, I'll put one on the shelf for you so you can pick it up any time;)

Thanks, Brian... You're a savior. Just warning you, though, depending on how job hunting goes up here in Michigan, that could be either a month or a year before I have a spare $70... :( I'm in my last semester of college, so let's hope I get a nice job with decent salary out of the gate. And even before that, let's hope I can find a good-paying part time job in the mean time.

Also, I know traditionally linking to eBay auctions is a no-no, but if I recall correctly, the masks in game use a plate like this in order to wear em... I think it would complement the mask nicely, for all those who have ordered one from Brian:

Also, Brian, one of my friends is interested, and he might PM you soon... he'd be new to TDH. I showed him your thread and he was very impressed.

Wow, you two did some excellent paint-ups on those masks! Nice job! I'll definitely be picking up one of these. 8)

Halo_1, do you have any pics of how you padded it on the inside? Also, how's your vision when wearing it? From looking at the earlier pictures I was afraid the eye holes might be a little far apart, but with pics of someone actually wearing it, it looks better.

Jarvis, excellent job on the masks. :) Can't wait till you get that mask backplate done, I NEED one of these. :love

Actually, I test fitted the mask on Sunday without any padding. Best way to find out what needs to be padded via long usage. :)

Anyhow, the vision is great, only issue is that with the faceplate built like that, you have no vision below. You'll need to be careful if there are kids or objects around.

I'll be padding the forehead area, maybe the temple and as well as the cheeks. The forehead and temple is to provide some comfort to the forehead [not really an issue actually but...]and absorb the sweat that will definitely be rolling off your face, loaded out as you will be. I had a shemagh on so that absorbed most of my sweat.

The cheek padding will be done because I had quite a bit of pressure on my cheekbones from the strap tension [I have prominent cheekbones]. So I'm hoping the padding will help cut down the pressure and the rosy cheeks...if not, I'll have to rethink the entire strapping setup.

Hope this helps.

Stay safe.

Tim.

I'll do a test pad and once it feels right, I'll post the pics up.

Hey Tim the pics look Great you really pulled it off . I did the padding for mine on just the forehead and cheek's and it works pretty well but I believe it will be different for everyone.
I'm putting the final touches on the back plate and should have pics soon ,
Your doing an awsome job I couldn't be more happy with all the work that you've shared with everyone so far:cheers
We'll be waiting to see more from both you and Mandalorian_70 who's doing a killer paint job.
Thanks
Brian
