Is anyone willing to help me buy paint?

I'm living in Norway, and I'm having a hard time getting hold of the modelmaster/pollyscale paints I need for my armour. I'm doing the jetpack and helmet in Humbrol, but the rest I think I need these paints for.

Is anyone willing to buy these for me and ship them? I'll pay for everything, and if they're stopped in the customs, that's my problem.

I've tried sending emails to stores, but they wont ship them to me. The reason these paints aren't sold in Norway, is because they lack some text about the chemicals, so it's all just a stupid papermill problem.

Please anyone, help me finish my project!

Wow, thanks!

I'll post the list both here and in PM. :)

The paint I'm looking for are these:

Pollyscale US Med Green #F505082
Floquil Bright Silver #F110101
Testors Model Master Yellow Zinc Chromate
Pollyscale Reefer Yellow #F41412
Pollyscale ATSF Catwhisker Yellow #F414146
Pollyscale Reading Yellow #F414378

I'd love advice on how much I need of each colour too. There's also a colour called grimey black(?) that I need for the blackwash.

Did a quick search on Testors site. Haven't found the Grimey Black yet. Unfortunately, I cannot help with quantities advice. You might PM slave1pilot. Don't know what paints he uses, but it might be worth a shot. Note: some of the listed prices are for 1/2 oz bottles.

You need the grimey black for several things, shading and such. One bottle is more than enough. As for the Yellow Zinc Chromate, I think I have a bottle to spare that hasn´t been used. As for silver, you can go with Humbrol #11 which is available in Norway. I might also have some US Med. Green.
Regarding quantities of paint, I used at the most 2 bottles of the base color, there is a lot of shading that needs to be done (at least for ESB, the armor there consist of 5 different colors + the silver and yellow). For the shading and accent colors, one bottle is enough.

I can bring it to the next troop along with the hair for braids if you still want it.

Thanks a lot! If you could bring the paint and hair, it would be perfect. :D

I had the same problem, could not find some colors in Spain, but because some members of the forum helped me, i was able to finish my costume !!!!

Good luck

The hobby shop less than a mile from me sells ALL of those paints. In fact I have most of those, including grimy black, sitting in my garage right now. I use grimy on ALOT of projects.

If you are serious and have not yet purchased any of those, I will take care of it for ya;). But, it may be saturday before I get there. The shop hours are the same as my work hours. PM me what you want and we'll work out the shipping and stuff.

Same goes for you Gavin. Let me know if you are missing anthing I can help with!:cheers
