hey all, does anyone know where I can find a diy on an R2, not a functional 1 of course, just a static prop for my theater (living room) I wanna make aR2, a HIC and a Fett, already have HIC head and Jeremy face cast is on the way. Have made a few Light Saber props, just wanna have a Star Wars room ya know.

Thats where you will find tons of resources for an R2; both static and functional. Perhaps you could build a static one for now and add functionality later.

that's really cool!!! I shouldn't be, but I'm amazed that they have a site for astromech droids...lol; if they have a site for mandos, I guess anythings possible!!!

There is a site for everyone... Be it Ghostbusters, droids, predators or mandos. There is even a yahoo group dedicated to WALL-e, created over a year before the movie was released!

I'm gonna try to start 1, but it'll be a slow go project I see that the dome is the hardest part to source or most expensive

gotta get it, then a pvc body, so the body is gonna be the most expensive part... like $100 shipped. Not going for screen acurate anyway gonna do custom (see my Mando bucket to know I like custom)

Adonian, I'd highly recommend upgrading from that aspects dome. They have become basically obsolete in the droid building world....

Try an 18 inch birdfeeder dome for the dome and an 18 inch concrete form tube (fancy for cardboard tube) and then add greeblies and attatch legs and so on. :P
