    Any ghost hunters around?

Yeah, anyone interested in ghosts and paranormal stuff or had freaky experiances?

I was at a ghost tour at a cemetary with my mum last night. We got a really creepy EVP on our voice recorder of what sounds to be little girls playing, giggling and screaming, in the childrens section.

That kind of stuff creeps the poodoo out of me, but for some reason I still put myself through it when I watch things online or watch those ghost hunter shows.

I've never really experienced any paranormal activities, although I do remember while sleeping once, I had a dream about a woman's ghost walking towards me, then right as she walked into me I woke up with a really bad chill.

If anyone's got links to creepy videos or recordings, I'll gladly be an idiot and watch them.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

If I had spare funds, I'd be right on top of buying major equipment right now!

I've had some odd happening here, it was about 4 or 5 years ago, I was setting at the table reading, and theres this pen I had that has a flat bottom to it, so that it can stand up straight, with the writing end up in the air. It only about 4 or 5 inches long, and its preety big around, so theres quite a bit of base to it to keep it standing up.

I could see something moving infront of the book, so I dropped it fairly quickly, and to my suprise the pen with the flat bottom on it was moving at a slatned angle coming towards me. Just a few seconds of movement, but it freaked me out. I thought mabey I had been leaning on the table, etc. So I placed the pen back were it was and tried recreating the scene in many ways, and I absoutly could not get it to move in anyway but to fall down.

And then just here latly I've had trouble with my Indy figures on the shelves. All their accessories that are laying at their feet tend to move to the very ledge of the shelf/desk two at a time while I'm out of the room. They're not falling, etc. Because they're about 12 or so inches from the ledge of the desk, and the figures themselves are still standing up. (The accessories are at the feet of the toys)

And sorta related, the biggest thing to me, a woman talked to me here about 2 months ago.

But you gotta know my dream/sleep habits first. I have some OUT THERE dreams, and I don't exactly sleep through them, and sometime the next day its hard for me to seperate the reality, and the dream. So I can't say for certain what it is or what. I know people have those sleep issues where they "wake up", but their body is still in a REM cycle, and they "see" aliens, or ghosts, etc. But I didn't see anything, and all I did was hear this woman.

I was asleep in bed, when I was very carefully awaken by a woman, mabey in her 30's or so by the sound of her, telling me to "Wake up, please, wake up!" very quietly, and soft, and realy comforting, untill she did it again, and again, and again. I bet I heard "Wake up" in some form or another for about 2 mins. I finaly rolled over and said "STOP." and it quit. So.....I've either gone crazy, or.....Well, I've gone crazy, how 'bout that? I'm preety sure it was a dream or something like one.........But was it?

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

Gotta tell you, I never ever believed in ghosts or paranormal activites at all. Anytime anybody brought it up around me, I was like, "Psh.... that's a load of 'poodoo'."

Until I went to Iraq on my first deployment. I was on the security team that guarded Camp Korean Village on several towers around the FOB. Post two was continually reporting voices in the dead of the night. We joked around, telling them to "lay off the crack", but nobody really took it seriously.
Two weeks later, I was on post two during the night shift. At around 0230 hours, I heard *DISTINCTLY* footsteps outside my guard tower. I'm talking, the sound of gravel crunching under foot. Now in the middle of the desert, there is no sound at night. None. Zero. Not even white noise. The slightest sound is almost amplified by the stillness of the air. I opened the door to my guard tower, and peered out into the night with my NVG's, and didn't see anything. Figuring it was just the Sergeant of the Guard messing with me, I told my buddy to keep watch on the post, while I went out to check. I grabbed my infrared flashlight, and armed with my M16 and NVG's, I crept down the stairs. The sound that made me freeze mid-step, halfway down the stairs, was the sound of a woman crying. It was quiet... so quiet. But unmistakable. The little hairs on the back of my neck were standing so straight they almost fell off. Every muscle in my body was locked, and I don't think I've ever listened harder in my life. I heard two more footsteps, and the crying stopped. I waited on the stairs for perhaps two minutes before I dared move again, listening for the slightest sound. More footsteps, a voice, breathing, anything, but nothing came. I went the rest of the way down the steps, looking around every side of the tower, along the dirt berm, and even over it.
I didn't find a thing. Not a footstep. That night made me a believer in ghosts. I firmly believe that in areas where really really bad things happen, evil things are closer to the physical world.
I did some research on the history of Camp Korean Village, and I found that it was, at one time, a resort built by Sadaam Hussein. The people who built it were chinese, many of which died, or were killed in the process.

Kindof a long thread, but I wanted to share that experience.

I'm into Ghost Hunters too. I've been to a couple of places that are said to be haunted, yet I haven't seen anything yet. I would like to go on a hunt sometime, too.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

Here's a little something that happened afew months ago

A freind of mine and I would talk in his store for hours after it closed for the day sometimes later than midnight or one in the morning. The building is at least 90 years old an sits in the middle of down town, We sat talking one night facing each other about 8 feet apart when for just a second or two a vapor appeared between and slightly above us the size of a human figure , the conversation went mute as we looked for a responce from each other . Finally I asked did you see something and he replied ( tell me what you saw first) ,That night when I got home my eyes watered as I told my wife and kids what happened , It took awhile for the shock to whare off. For the next couple of weeks we payed attention hearing a variety of sounds and seeing small filaments of light that appeared for moments and faded away just as quickly. The bell that was attached to the front door would sound off buy itself and when we hit the bell to recreate the intensity of sound we would have to hit it pretty hard , Harder than the outside force (wind or passers buy ) could .
Being a fan of Ghost Hunters we looked for ways to disprove what happened but without luck.
He's no longer in that building but I would love the chance to go back any time.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

I love all this stuff, me and my girlfriend went on a ghost hunt about four days ago with two other friends, we went to the old rectory in BORLEY England, its apparently the most haunted place in this country........but sadly we did not see anything

Personally i do believe in the paranormal as i have experienced a fair few things in my time, one of which was when i was a bit younger and i went to the tunnels in the Dover cliffs, these were made in the first world war to be used as a hospital for airmen. The tunnels are very dark and have an eary sense to them, anyway i was on the tour when we rounded the corner of one of the lower tunnels, i ended up looking down the tunnel which was lit about 10-15 metres down and then darkness, the guide was in front of me and my mum the rest of my family trailing a bit further back when i noticed a man in the tunnel standing there, he appeared to be doing something, frantically moving his arms, kind of waving at something further down the tunnel then as quickly as he appeared, he was gone!
I said to the guide, who was that or what was that and all he said was, "I see alot of stuff down here that i wish i new what it was!"

Even to this day i think back to that moment and still cant really believe what me and my mum saw.

I'm actualy a "fan" of both! I can't get how the fact that there's "dead people" here that we don't know much about, and "little alive ones" arriving we don't know much about either.

EDIT - Unless of corse the Gov. decides we're ready to know about them.

This is what I believe to be true.

I wont say that Alien Life In fact exists, but I will say that the possibility is absolutely high that it does. Our universe is BIGGGGGGGG. And by big I mean ENORMOUSS!!!!!

The amount of galaxy's increase that chance for the possibility of Alien Life. There are so many planets in the universe that it would be very dumb to say that we are the only life that exists, and there is no other alien life in our universe.

Now, when I say life on other planets, I could mean a Highly advanced civilization, or just microbes. Either way, it still fascinates me.

Now Ghosts and paranormal stuff is always interesting to me, from hearing weird noises in cemetaries, and seeing ghostly objects in some of my videos. Ghost hunting equipment is expensive, Alien hunting equipment is not haha. A shotgun and a telescope is all you need. haha im kidding.

I think it sort of greedy to think we're the only intelligent design out here. Like you said, to think about this way. An electron in an atom. An atom on a person. A person in a room. A room in a house. A house on the street. A street in a town. A town in a county. A county in a state. A state in a country. A country on the planet. A planet in the solar system. Our solor stsytm in this Galaxy. This Galaxy in THIS universe. This universe in this dimension...I'm sure it keeps on going

    We're small. We're stupid. We're not alone.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

Oh man, I am a HUGE Ghost Hunters fan!!! I record it on my Dish DVR all the time in case I end up missing it.

About 3 months ago, I had a close encounter with a shadow. LOL! We've got a small cemetery in our backyard. And there is a militia man buried there. And our house is also about a mile away from an old fort, Fort Boonesboro. Just tons of historical stuff around us.

But one night, I was sitting in my room messing around with some artwork. And my bedroom door was closed. I got up to go get something to drink. I opened my bedroom door, and there right in front of me about 2 feet away was a shadow. I think we scared each other! I stood there shocked with my jaw just about down to the floor. It stood there for about 3 seconds and then flew away off towards the door to the backyard like it was shocked too! Man, did it give me the shock of my life! Yeah, it scared me because it's not every day you see something like that.

And for the next couple days, it was hiding out in the bathroom where it was darkish and peaking out to watch me draw. It was curious but shy. I could barely see the shadow of a head just peaking out from the doorway to the bathroom and then when I picked my head up to look at it directly, it would pop back into the bathroom.

I have to admit. That was the coolest experience I have ever had! And I also admit, that I was still kinda skeptical and somewhat afraid until that happened!! Not anymore!!!

That shadow was the strangest thing. It had a human form, but it was a shadow. It was kinda like looking through dark tinted glass. And the edge of the form was a little bit blurry. It was freaky, but insanely cool too!!!

We've seen several other spirits around our house. My mother has seen an old Native American woman a couple times. I've seen a man dressed in a civil war military uniform (the Northern uniform).

And we have a slot machine downstairs in our family room. My mother and I had been out running errands and when we came home, we heard the slot machine dinging and making noise. I went downstairs to see what was going on. And wouldn't you know, the thing was unplugged? LOL! There is no backup power supply or anything for it. It was going off on it's own! LOL! Yes, we do have a "poltergeist" or "gremlin" as well. This is not the only incident that has happened like that.

None of the ghosts around us mean any harm. If anything, we think they are trying to protect us. But they do NOT like our neighbors behind us though. I think it's because our neighbors are afraid of the cemetery. Our neighbors are doing a lot of remodeling to their house, and the ghosts don't like it. Whenever they start doing more work on their house, the spirit activity picks up. It's almost like they are kvetching to us about our neighbors. LOL!

It's cool living with all this going on. There really is no reason to be afraid of ghosts. They are "people" too. Even though they no longer occupy a physical body, they still have personalities and emotions. I guess we are afraid when we see them because we are not used to seeing them every day.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

The "ghost" I have in my new house is a cool one, nothing creepy but the first day when my father and I slept there, someone got a bowl of cereal and brought it into my room, (according to my dad he heard someone get a bowl and walk into my room thinking it was me so he didn't pay much attention to it) a day or two later I heard someone set a glass down on the counter top in the kitchen, again this time I assumed it was my dad. Now for the weird part, my dad was in the living room and was watching T.V. keep in mind the ceiling fan/light has 4 settings, on, brighter, brightest, and off. So anyways, he had it on the lowest setting, went to get a bottle of watter, came back and the light was off. Lol, our "ghost" we have isn't such a scary one, just a hungry, thirsty, prankster I guess. As long as it stays that way : P

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

This is a cool thread coz I can relate to a lot of you who posted here. I've had experiences since I was a kid of 9 or 10 yrs. It was the time when my God mother (my mom's sister) passed away of cancer. She was like a second mother to me as she took care of me since I was a baby. Anyway, after she passed away, we had the wake at our house in the living room (just like the olden days). I think her body was there for about a week before the day of the funeral. So, the day after she passed, it was late already and the visitors left and I was in bed getting really sleepy. I nodded off for a minute and then shook it off and wanted to stay awake coz I was scared due to the fact that her body is still downstairs. But I nodded of again but this time I was awakened by my God mother's voice gently saying for me to wake up. So being half asleep, I sat up and saw that she was standing at the foot of my bed in her funeral clothes with a gentle smile on her face. I was so groggy that I didn't even think nothing of it coz I was so used to seeing her. It didn't faze me until the next day at breakfast, I told everyone what I experienced and they were all at awe. But that's not all! The next night, after experiencing the first visit from my God mother, I got really scared and I hid under my covers. But after a while, I needed to get some fresh air so I stuck my nose out to take a few breathes of fresh air when I smelled flowers as if they were right in front of my nose! This scared me even more coz I know it's my God mother and she used to sleep in the same bed with me when I was younger. So, the next day at breakfast I told everyone what happened the night before and my sister who sleeps in another bed on the other side of our room said that she woke up that night and saw my God mother lying next to me! So, this really scared me but only to a point and my mom explained to me that she is probably just saying her goodbyes coz I wasn't there when she passed. I didn't experience a visit from her after that but I have further paranormal experiences later on in my adult life until now that I can't explain. But I won't disclose that for now. Ever since then, I've been looking for answers and explanations to learn more about the paranormal and I found Coast to Coast AM, a non-mainstream talk show with George Noory and Art Bell which is open to paranormal, conspiracy theories, alien abductions and crypto-zoology subject matters. Very interesting stuff when you can't sleep at night.

That's happened to me. Once I thought I had a big spider* on me, and it crawled on my face and I could feel it biting me. I kept trying to move and all I could do was watch it. And then I was sitting up in bed slapping at myself and totally freaking out. But I couldn't find the spider or any bites on my face. It was really weird.

*I am absolutly terrified of spiders

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

Hey I am so glad I found this thread....I love this stuff.
Well, I have always wanted to do the ghost hunting stuff and would jump at a chance, physically, to do it. They do scare me, but it is more of the just appearing unspecting type of scare. But I have apparently been around weird disturbance since I was born. My mom said her grandmother told her that one day she would see my mom's son and her great-grand-son. Well when I saw the picture of of my great-grand-mother she looked very familiar. Which freaked my parents out becasue they thought they saw here but were dreaming and never talked about it. I would have only been a few months old at that time. So there you go. There are other stories that I might post later. Speaking of ghost hunters...there is this really old beautiful cemetary in tallahassee FL that was built when there was still the slaves and hangings were common. It's creepy to think of all the souls that were wrongly hung and burried there but it is still, oddly enough, a sort of calming place...at least in the day time.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

I don't take drugs or under any medications of some sort for that matter. I also don't drink but I've had a few "sleep terrors" episodes before, and a couple of them were pretty intense! One of them was about someone or something choking me with both hands and it felt like it was sitting on my chest. I was fighting it with all my might and I could even hear myself grunting to muster up all my strength to fight it but to no avail. Then, I prayed fervently and that's when it let go of me and then I heard a loud thump on my rooftop. This happened around 2 AM. Another "sleep terror" incident I had was about an old hag clutching my left shoulder with her bony claw like hand and I can feel it's face and it's breath right against my left cheek. I remember not being able to move or yell for help. It was a scary feeling of helplessness. It was so intense that even after I woke up the next day, there was a residual sensation of it's hand on my left shoulder. I've done some research on this and the scientific explanation for it is sleep paralysis where your brain wakes up before the rest of your body wakes up. But there is always this feeling of an evil presence associated with it. Since then, I am not able to sleep unless I exhaust my self to sleep. I normally sleep around two or three in the morning due to these unusual experiences.

I've always been interested in the paranormal, everything from ghosts and demonic possession to UFO's and ESP. Then I found a college that offers paranormal courses and was certified through them and have done a few "investigations" here in Hawaii. There are a lot of ghost tours and just plain weird stuff here... it's great, especially with all the local legends and superstitions. If you're ever in Hawaii forget the beach go to Morgan's Corner, the Pali Look Out or Manoa Valley.

When the ship I was stationed on pulled into Hawaii, I was out in town in Waikiki I think... and I was surprised to see a flyer taped on a store window about a satanic worship ritual happening that weekend. I was amazed at how open this type of practice seems to be over there! Is this common in Hawaii?

It's quite a little melting pot that's really open to anything. And all the Asian/Pacific cultures that take root here bring in their customs and legends making it very interesting.

Sometimes I see persons in my room. Shadows, and when I start staring at them they fade. 2 years ago I got a new room and they are not here anymore...

    You see dead people.

I've actualy been asked before by people trying to "figure my dreams out" if I was a drug user. I told them I just make this stuff up to get attention.

No kidding? I love TAPS! I watch it every chance I get.

Paranormal stuff has always really freaked me out, but regardless I find it very interesting. I'm not really sure if this is classed as paranormal, but here locally, there are a lot of weird stories about "things that go bump in the night". One that really sticks out in my mind is from the mid 1800s of the Santer, a kind of skinny, ape-like creature with a face similar to a bat and had a specific taste for dogs and sometimes children. They said it would roam all across North Carolina, from Cherokee to the Piedmont, and up into Virginia seasonally. Finally, a group of men got a hunting party together and tracked it to Wilkesboro, and supposedly a man from Asheville delivered what they believe to be a killing shot, although the body was never recovered. The weird thing is, I was on the topic of weird happenings with a guy I used to work with and he told me of a time when his Dad had gone deer hunting and made a kill, and when he went to recover the animal, there was something crouched over it that matched the description of the Santer. He raised his gun and shot, trying to scare it off and it raised up, looked at him, then bounded off into the woods. My friend's Dad left the deer there, stunned, and ran out of the woods.

I actually live in Wilkesboro (and was born in Asheville, lol), and though I can't clarify any truth in this, according to the Weird U.S. guys from the History Channel, you can read sighting reports in the local newspaper archives. Weird stuff!

Murphoid- that sounds a lot like a chupacabra. I found this originally under the title of chupacabra on YouTube but it's subtitles contained profanity but I found it under a different title with no subtitles. To this day no matter how often I watch it I still get chicken-skin... enjoy.

Im a huge Ghost Hunters fan. They are one of my friends on myspace, so I get continous updates. Very Cool I must say. I also have gotten my husband, my dad and mom addicted as well. I moved to Idaho on the edge of WA border and Im looking for ghost hunters as well. I have had my share of expericences also. When I lived in Iowa I was alone in the house and I had this distinct aroma of my grandfathers cologne that was very pronounced. I had no doubt that it was his cologne. The whole thing is that my grandfather had passed away about 5 yrs before, he had never been to this house. Very creepy, but felt like he was there for me. I have had other strange things happen since then but those are usually at night kinda like dreams but very real. This instance with my grandfather was in the daytime while I was watching TV and laying on the couch. If there is anyone near Spokane, WA or closer to Idaho let me know. I am a little scared of the dark, but my curosity to the paranormal might out way that.

My wife and I have at more that one experience with spirits. Most of them good(only 2 really nasty ones that she had to deal with) The latest events happed about a week ago ( just a few days after my Mother-in-law, Linda, passed away) .. we kept finding what looked like peanut shells around the house and these also showed up at her other 3 daughters houses. The thing is Linda loved to eat peanuts and had a habit of dropping some of the shells every time.

I used to go ghost hunting all the time with friends in Waupun and Fond Du Lac

There used to be a cemetery out on the highway with a monument of a lady whose legs were sometimes crossed and uncrossed. I remember we were all afraid to be alone in the dark in the cemetery after all the stories. We went online and looked up haunted places in the area and found tons.

Also have a thing for ouiji boards, especially haunted ones

I'll post more when I have time

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

This happened several years ago at an old farm house in Fond Du Lac county.

Our friend had just moved and we were all staying at her house the week her family moved in. It was me, her, and i think 3 or 4 other friends. Well anyways, we were all outside the first day relaxing after taking everything off the U-Haul and this pickup truck shows up.

It's the neighbor guy (who still lives 1 or 2 miles down the street) and he starts talking to her dad, and this goes on for a couple minutes before her dad bursts out laughing and just walks away.

Then he comes over to us with a real serious face and says to all of us, "things happen in this house". and just walks off.

And we're all thinking he was drunk, high, or whatever because he just sounded crazy when he said it.

I mean I believe in the stuff, but I just expected him to come over and you know, introduce himself, and say something more like "This house has a history and some people think it's haunted. People have seen and heard some strange things. Just thought you'd like to know"

So we laughed about it for a little while and then her dad came out and gave us money to all go out to dinner, for helping them move in.

We grabbed a movie on the way back from dinner and almost hit a deer on the way back, which shook up the girls we were with.

This is when the weird stuff started happening.....

When we parked my friend Julie forgot her purse in the car, and went back to get it (and we were all just several yards away.
The door was unlocked and the moment she reached to open the handle the doors locked, she though it was our friend Jamie just being a jerk, but Jamie denied doing anything. Then he unlocked it himself and Julie tried again and it locked right away! This continued for a few more times before Julie was like "stop it!" and ran and grabbed Jamie's keys from him.
THIS is really weird. She puts the key in the passenger side door hole to unlock it and the moment she does the key spits out and the door just unlatches itself and opens.... she described it as "felt like someone pulled my hand out with the key in it"

She grabbed her purse and we all went in sort of spooked. She said she didn't think it was Jamie after that.
It didn't help that the movie we rented was the Ninth Gate, which is a creepy movie in itself.

Well we watched it trouble free for most of the movie before we had trouble with the TV.
It kept switching to the History channel....yes, the history channel which at the time had a documentary paranormal stuff.....which freaked us out. We looked to see if anyone was sitting on the remote forcing it to stay on the channel but we found all 3 remotes and nothing was doign anything. After a little bit we were able to stay on the channel where we could watch the DVD.

Nothing happened until later in the night after this.

I had a really weird dream of clocks and running through sand hour glasses... and eventually I ran into a room that was the room I was sleeping in and the door was closed after I ran in. I turned around and waited for something, then it opened and there was a girl with the head of bird.... that motioned me for her to follow, i did and she opened doors leading to the kitchen....then she starts going through the fridge and was making me a sandwich....i didn't eat it and then she grabbed my arm and i woke up.

I was freezing when i woke up, even though i had sweats and a sweatshirt on. I turned on the light and my door was open.
For some reason i felt the need to check the doors to the kitchen. Everything was open, including the fridge....and there was a sandwich sitting on the counter.....

It freaked me out so much.

I guess some of my friends had similar dreams, but I dont remember them in detail.

One was about a tractor in the field of the house, one was about hearing a girl singing after waking up from a dream with a little girl, another was about being led to a well outside by a man with no face and almost falling in the well, although the no faced man held on to my friend so they wouldn't fall.

It was freaky, I only stayed one more night, and nothing really happened. A few of us just stayed at another house for the week, we were all freaked.

Apparently my friend still has stories about the house here and there but she's in school and isn't always there...

I'm not sure I believe in actual ghosts, but I do believe that people can leave a mark on the earth so to speak.

There was a place in Tallahassee that was a Tuberculosis hospital that was then changed into a mental hospital for children in the 60s until it was closed by the health department due to "not staying up to fire code" and possible abuse charges.

After it closed it became a place for college frat guys to have to go spend the night for initiation and started to get kinda beat up and stuff stolen out of it, etc. But it was always a place kids broke into at night for scares and such. We went several times and took a lot of pictures. It really had an "aura of sadness" to the place . You could kinda feel the death and sadness just being in there.

As for weirdness, nothing ever happened while we were there.... but we did scare the **** out of many a college student with chains and various moans we would do in stair wells , following around other people who would come in LOL.

I've also felt the same sadness and loss feelings when visiting many civil war battlefields and older cemetaries.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

Ok I wanted to go check this out before I posted in this thread. In San Antonio we have a famous ghost story about a train track crossing on the south side. The story I've always heard around here is that there was a school bus full of children crossing the tracks. It became stuck on the tracks. And a train came at the same time and hit the bus killing some kids and the driver. There were no crossing arms on the crossing and there still isn't any today.
So the legend is that if you go to the tracks and place and park your car in neutral 30-40 yards back from the tracks, the ghost children will push you past the tracks out of harms way.

So I go do some tests. Many say " Oh its because your rolling down hill." No! its not true. You actually roll up hill! I know! its weird! I even took a leveler out with me and a basket ball. It is up hill.

I placed my car 40 yards back and set it in neutral. Your car just sits there for 30 sec or so, and then the car slowly starts to roll up at less than 5 mph. As its rolling you can hear gravel on the ground as if people are walking on them. As you get closer to the tracks you start to feel strong pressure in your chest and it becomes harder to breath. You car rolls over the tracks and you just need to turn the wheel to avoid going off road, and the pressure is released.
I also did the baby powered test. I cleaned the back of my car with cleaner and a towel while wearing gloves. Then put baby powder over the back and back sides. After the event you can actually see little hand and finger prints. I think I may go back soon and get some video and audio but I don't have much equip yet. But just wanted you all to know about this one. Theres a site that says some thing about it too.

Is that the Waverly Hills Sanitarium you're talking about?
I want to go there! Didn't TAPS do a live all night long ghost hunt there last Halloween? I didn't have cable at the time, so I missed it.

If you've got pictures, please send them to me! I know you said you didn't experience anything, I'd just like to see pics.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

Well here is a very recent story, it happened a few nights ago.

So I went over to a friends house to spend the night. When I got there, there were 2 of my other friends there. So we go out and eat some mexican food and go back. We all then decide to go to jack in the box.. and keep in mind this was about 2 hours after we ate all that delicious mexican food. We decided to go to our old middle school, where it is supposedly haunted, and let me tell you, there couldnt have been a single person there, like thiefs, or homeless people, because anyone would have already crapped their pants there.

So anyways, it's 2 AM and we are all out walking towards the school, the first thing we see is a dark, dark, dark, school. That initially freaks us out, but we keep walking on the street. Then at the entrance my friends stop and start freaking out. Honestly I wasnt all too scared. I was willing to go into the place alone if I had to.... That is until just 3 of us stepped into the entrance when things felt really bad. I was more aware, than ever before. Just 3 minutes into the entrance, and we heard a blood curdling scream, not once, but twice, one exactly like the other, but for some reason, we didnt freak out, mostly move our heads in that direction. Also keep in mind that this is pitch black and it adds even more to the mood. So we keep walking slowly, and we all hear a door slam shut, and we just make a mad dash to the streets. My heart was beating so fast because its one of those moments where nobody should make any sudden movements, or you will scare the living hell out of everyone else. I was the only one telling them that we should go back. It wasnt too scary although that scream and door slam did startle me. I wish we went back though, I was curious for more. We ended up staying out the rest of the night, and just doing stupid stuff.

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

A few years back me and two good friends were making our way home through an area of Norwich called Catton in the small hours of the morning. We cut through an alley way which we had used many times before. This alleyway is about 100m long with a 90 degree bend in the middle and is lined with 6ft fences on either side. As we entered the alleyway there was a lady walking her dog in front of us. i can remember her turning around as we entered the alley (the moonlight caught her face). I can remember thinking she must be scared with three lads following her at night in a dark alleyway. anyways she turned the corner in the alleyway and we turned it about 10 seconds later. There was no one in the alleyway in front of us. I asked my friends where could she have gone? they replied that neither of them had even seen a lady. The alleyway was too long for her to have run away and my mates never even saw her. I believe this was a ghost.

Creepy...I have heard of that story before about the bus accident and how the kids push your car across the tracks. That is so cool that you were able to do it!

I have another creepy story that involves a bus that my grandfatehr told me. It was up north (I recall Penn. for some reason) and it was my grandfathers cousin and his partner and they were eating at a restruant. Well, they left the restruant and went to the cop car where a boy walked up to them and knocked on their window. They exted the car to talk to the boys and he started crying uncontrolable. So they asked him if he was lost and he noded yes. So they asked him to come in their car and they would take him to the station. Well, they get going and when they pass an certain intersection the boy tugs the partners shirt and still crying points down the street they just passed. Well they U-turned and turned down the way. They kept on going and when ever they thought of turning around they boy would belt out in tears even louder than before. Well way out of the way and out of town. There is a big clearing in the trees that shouldn't have been there. So they stopped and told the boy to stay and went to go chekc it out. When they looked over the tree clearing, they saw a rolled over school bus down in the deep ditch. They called for paramedics and and started doing precedure. When they finally pulle dout the bus, there was a whole class, teacher, and driver inside. All were in pretty bad condition as thier bus took out a whole bunch of thick trees and then rolled down a decient drop. Well evenyone was ok except for one boy. He had bleed from the skull and there was no pulse....it was the boy who lead them there. They ran back to the car and the boy was gone...no signs what so ever. The report read that they were on patrol when they found the bus...but they know better.

Ya, I've also heard about the Bust Accident, countless times. But considering the shady people and their programs that have "recorded" the events there, I wouldn't beleive it, unless of corse someone I would trust would do something there, etc. I'd love to see some TDH pics./video of our little paranormal affairs!

But in other news, its happened again. My Indiana Jones figures are haunted. Or at least their accessories are. Came in, sat some papers down on the bed, sat down on it, went through the TV channels, got up, and left. About 45 mins. later, I come back, and well what do you know, a repeat offender, one of the whips has moved from the feet of the toys, over to the side of the desk.

That's what I told her when she first showed me. But she pointed out that it would have showed up more than once. She went back and tried to reproduce it and could not.

The report read that they were on patrol when they found the bus...but they know better.
lol irishfett they made a movie of that story with the kids, its called fingerprints or something,it was pretty good, and i do believe it is based offof a true story.

,e and my friend Col'ika have seen a dark cloak robed figure
it appeared on a street and we went to go see it and when we got there we turned a round only to see it alll the way across the church center glideing away.

a year later i saw it agian it crossed the street in front of me maybe 75 ft or something(bad judge in distance) but it stob and turned at me and the turned and went on its way into some trees,and....i went back to my friends house(back the way i came) and spent the night again...

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

My wife has always been interested in spirits and reads cards.

We we're renting a house once and we were allowed to redo the gardens. We pulled all the old weeds and **** out that day and were going to finish it the next day. Late that night while watching tv we had an old woman's face float around on the tv. At first we thought nothing but then it stopped and looked at us! We freaked out big time. The next day we planted new plants and while doing so spoke to the neighbour (an old woman) who had lived their all her life. She said our house had 'history' as in the man's wife went missing and she used to love the garden. This had occured 20-30 odd years ago.

Later that same day we left toget some more plants and came home to what we thought a burgled house. All the lounge room contents were all over the room and the bloody tv was on the floor. This occured only in the lounge room. All the doors and windows were still locked!

That night our 8mth old daughter woke screaming. Her room stank and was really cold! We calmed her down and I placed a heater in there to keep her warm. 2 hours later she woke screaming again. Her room still stank and was 'really' cold still!

We placed her in bed with us after that and went back to sleep. About 11.30pm our daughter began to cry and woke us up. We both noticed the freezing cold and within seconds we couldn't physically move! Our daughter was screaming, I couldn't move or talk andmy wife was gurgling. This lasted for maybe 10 to 15 seconds and just stopped. The gurgling coming from my wife was her being choked! This was our introduction to the spirit world! The attacks continued every 30 to 40 minutes until 5am. We packed up and left that house. The realistate thought it funny as we werent the first to complain about it! Wankers!

Since then all 3 of our kids are very much in tune with spirits and my wife talks to my (passed) nan and pop! On one reading my pop mentioned an incident that no one else ever knew about and he (pop) wasn't inpressed with me for it. He says he always hears me toast him when I have a beer.

There have been occasions were I am woken by a 'bad' spirit that has attached itself to me. It stays above my side of the bed and only gives me grief! I have since learned how to defend against such visits. But I still get the odd sleepless night!

We have even spoken to our passsed child that was miscaried. It's not all bad.

My nan (passed) explained how there are different levels of spirits. We wont use a ouija board as they can be plain dangerous. but there is another board we use (can't think of its name atm) that is for 'good' visitors. Since I met my wife it has been very 'interesting'!

You should tell ur story to discovery channel......I've aslways been interested in spriitual stuff and psyic. Funny thing is I visted 5 psyics who have told me I have great power and the my spirit can be traced back to past the time of the kings.....weird thing with that is none of them will give me books to train they claim that if I do I'm gonna turn to dark magic....I even offered them good money to see what they would say and they still refuse......

Here's an interesting photo I took one Christmas at my mothers home in Virginia..Civil War trenches are still recognizable in the woods surrounding the neighborhood. I'm not a fan of Orbs at all but this one shows trajectory..What do you think?

well i see some non believers lol now that im home i can tell my other experiences at Mt Misery Long Island New York
1st time i went there i was chased out by an unknown car that was parked in the cemetery i figure it must be local kids so that don't count 1 person was with me for that

2nd i was past the cemetery near some field that had a cop car there i past the cop car and his lights go on and follows me then his siren lights go off but no sound so i pull over pitch black except for my lights no cop no other cars had one other kid with me that night

    Re: Any ghost hunters around?

For sure, i'm a believer but also very objective as well.

One of my other experiences was when i lived in a village called Acle, Norfolk UK. The place i was living in was about 300 years (old stables converted to flats). I was in bed and heard my missus walk down the corridor from the kitchen and stop outside the bedroom door. I waited for her to come in and nothing happened. I called out and still nothing. So i got up out of bed and opened the door. The corridor was empty. Thinking she ws playig a trick on me i searched the flat for her. About 10 minutes later she came in from doing some shopping and had not been in the flat for about 20 minutes. Ghostly footsteps ???? I only know what i heard

Deffintly calling shinanigans on those. But as far as the pics. you have MOW, I agree that you caught some dust.

That's what I told her when she first showed me. But she pointed out that it would have showed up more than once. She went back and tried to reproduce it and could not.
Well, thats the thing, she may not of been standing at the same angle, cloud cover could of effected the sun beam, the camera, the trees, there's plenty of factors there that would effect the way the photos would come out. I still stand that they're most proboly both sun beams.

LOL! I can't believe I missed this thread. Yeah, I haven't been on here in a while, since I had to sell my ESB Fett a few years ago.

As indicated by Bob or Webchief as you all know him, I'm a TAPS investigator. I've been a full investigator with TAPS for almost 2 years now and I've seen some amazing things. I'm a member of the same group that you see on the SI/FI Channel show Ghost Hunters. No, I haven't been on the show yet, but it's only because some of us in TAPS also work fulltime jobs and can't be away from work for weeks at a time to film for the show. Perhaps one day I'll be on, but it's important to state that I'm not investigating for TAPS in hopes of being famous or on tv. We do what we do to help people with paranormal issues that they cannot explain. Period. It's all about helping others and if I can do that by creeping around dark basements at night, then even better! LOL!

I seriously can't believe the amount of posts on this thread. Truth be told, I didn't have the time to read all of them. Sh*t, you guys post more interesting comments and better accounts of activity than what I see on the TAPS 18+ forum. If I had known that, I wouldn't have wasted my time there. LOL!

I also want to state that though Ghost Hunters + TAPS is something I'm very passionate about, my first love and devotion is to the 501st Legion and the various off shoots like The Dented Helmet forum and Rebel Legion forums. You are all the best of the best here at TDH and I'm honored to call you brothers in arms and friends.

Though I work a fulltime job as a BUTCHER, (hense why all my friends actually call me The Butcha) and investigate for TAPS, on my free time I would be happy to try and answer all your paranormal questions and concerns. I am by no means as knowledgeable regarding the paranormal field as my good friends Jason + Grant, but as they are almost impossible to reach due to their crazy schedules and the fact that Jay has 5 kids and Grant has 3, I'd say I'm your easiest source for a real TAPS investigator to answer your questions. Now, take it easy on me, as I only get 1 day off usually a week from my regular job, not to mention the time I take away from that job to do TAPS cases, please be pacient if I don't get back to you right away. LOL!

Most of your questions could probably be answered by going to http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-society.com/ and checking out the host of options provided for you there. If you'd like to e-mail me questions go to http://www.the-atlantic-paranormal-s...s/members.html and click on my picture. It's the picture of the goofy looking guy that has John Barrows written on it. It will send you directly to my TAPS e-mail address. Thanks for all your love and passion for the paranormal field. I'll be sure to mention this to the rest of the TAPS crew. Take care!
