Another unknown pic of the Fett helmet?

That is definitely an interesting question. Presumably the helmet was sent to England some time after it was constructed in spring of '78. Johnston traveled there 4 or 5 times that year, according to page 83.

I scanned a few more relevant images. I had not seen Johnston holding the jetpack harness before.

covered in custard i can understand..but
i dont get why the mannequin is wearing undies

It looks like a body cast from a crew member rather than a mannequin. This means that the sculpted armour will fit perfectly to the body when complete. I guess the yellow substance is some kind of release agent, maybe shellac.

Great picture, really captures a moment.

Thats what we used in school as a release agent learned it was made from beetles found that to be pretty wierd

The good old lak bettles , when i did my sign writing aprenticship ,
there were many fun exersise with shelak

And look at the pre pro 3 costume , that guy in the costume has a very small waist
Not to mention the killer mutten chops

And i may make sense to have the lid there , as they could have built the fett body armuor up,
just like the snow trooper build
Does any one have any thorts on what clay they are using?
