So - will I see more Clones of me in the future and i can join the 501th? ;)

Actually i'm flatterd but also it frustrates me a bit that they use my iconic Armor, slightly photoshoped for the book and did not ask me. :facepalm

"your" armor is based on a Star Wars character Boba Fett which is copywrited think they can do what they want with THEIR idea...just sayin

Be flattered

I don't know if counts as canon but hey you never know lol. You probably can expect to see some more mercs attempting to replicate your look however.

Artists can pretty much use whatever they want for reference or photoshop with the internet. Look at how many times Art or other TDH'ers pics get used in licensed and unlicensed stuff. Heck, I'm tired of the lazy artists who just photoshop licensed statues and things into pictures and sell prints of that.

Another thing, I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the notes in the Jedi and Sith handbooks but I was shaking my head and groaning about so many of the things I was reading from from BH code book. An example being Boba's little yearbook signature. Besides, I thought that he didn't really sign up with the whole BH guild thing.

Armor notwithstanding, I will say that considering they used your exact picture and just flipped it and tweaked it a little, it would've been a nice courtesy to at least have asked for permission to use it though.

So, to reveal the outcome:

Like I first stated i was a bit between two chairs. Of course i felt honored because my custom Armor get more credit than i could ever have had imagined, but on the other hand a big company sells Book-Copies including a picture that is definate me and the "rights on the own picture" is a solid law in my Country.
Note: Of course the armor is based on intelectual Property of the current Licenseholder -> but the individual alterations made are way over 80% making it an own interpretation/homage. In this case certain Upgrades like the shouldermounted Beltfeeder, the custom Gaunts+Glove and the Undersuit/Ammobelt) make the identification of my kit very easily in this case.
Also Note: Me, and neither the armor ar Part of a "offical" group where the picturerights of the Members go instant to the licenseholder via the club-regulations.

BUT on the other hand the Picture was mirrored and altered in color -> so it can be also a Homage of a Homage ^^
As you might see the the legal situation is very squishy and I dont see the point in starting a juristical war with a multi-billion $ Tycoon like Disney/LFL or Amazon (who was the actual initiator of the Book-project) that can afford more Lawyers t and would cause me to hate Star Wars forever.

So I contacted the Artist ( Brian Rood btw. ), we've meet at CE2 and figured something out that will work for everyone ^^

A unique artpiece for my Wall. I can live with that. :D

U know the books arent cannon anymore right? So all the books are EU and EU only and theyre like fairy tales now...if its not on screen it not cannon. According to the new Star Wars historian J.W. Rinzler at least.

That's cool that he did the artwork with your original colors for you. Also cool that they considered your Mando cool enough to use for the book.
