Airbrush help needed

Hi all,

Getting ready to use my Passche "VL" dual action after almost 10 years, I got it all cleaned and working but am having trouble getting the needle in the exact placement I would like it. Does anyone have any tips to setting the needle, trigger pressure, etc.

Thanks

what do you mean "getting the needle in the exact placement" did you clean out the whole thing? like take apart the airbush completely?

I usually use mine at 50PSI while painting. What exactly are you having problems with when it comes to needle placement? The put on the nose and tip, then slide the needle through the back side as far as it can go, then tighten it.

I took apart and cleaned the whole airbrush, cause I was getting blow back, when I put it back together I put the needle in as far as it would go but am afraid I put it in to far. I just wanted to know if it needed to be snug, tight or have a bit of room at the end. I seemed to get it to work right, but like I said it's been a few years since I used it last.

Just make sure you don't make the hole bigger by forcing the needle forward then locking it in. The seal should be tight with no air around the hole and the pin.
