well, i've reached that point with my costume that i'm just about willing to take it out for a spin. there's still the endless minor tweaking to do, but at this point now all i need to do is paint the shin tools and dirty the whole thing up. enough talk, time for pics!

me just before we started putting it all on:

getting encased in plastic at various stages:

now before anyone says, "where's your jet pack?" lemme tell you. got her all painted up, assembled, and just need to finish the temp harness. this space reserved for the jp pics that i need to upload from my other camera.

Yeah dude, the pics are not good.

Too big, too much clutter, being sideways is just annoying

Try shooting outside against a less busy background

there you go, all rotated. i'm not scaling them, cuz i've seen way too many pics that are way larger. i just wanted to show off my costume, didn't think i'd be gettig critiqued on my laziness to use photoshop.

I think it looks great!!! as for the size of the pics, if people have a problem with them being to big, maybe the mods should have this forum set to where it resizes them when we post it. I have been to alot of other boards who can do that. it makes it so much easier! I have my camera set on its lowest setting 1.1mp and they still are very big. how do you resize a pic anyway?

Came together nice man!!! Congrats.
thanks scott, you saved my rear with those gauntlets.

Looking good buddy. So, when you planning on a public appearance?
next saturday, museum of the rockies here in bozeman. we're getting an exhibit called "out of this world." alpine garrison members will be coming from utah for this, and since it's my first troop the GML is letting me be boba.

Looking good dude. I would just get your girthbelt on the outside of the cod though.
it slipped under while walking around. will work that out soon.

i use either paint or photoshop to resize after i've put the pics on my comp. in my mind i don't think there is as much picture info lost that way as opposed to reducing resolution.

Great!! I love seeing those ROTJ kill stripes!! ROTJ all the way!! One question though, if you don't mmind me asking, where did you get the helm? It looks really good. Also excited to see your JP. Cheers!

i noticed the knees are sticking out funky. mine used to do that too... i added a 1/2" wide strip of foam to the inside top of the kneepad. it helps keep them flat against my knees.

first troop in just over an hour. gotta get a headband and I'm off to get suited up. more pics to come.

Looks pretty good man, I do have some tips and suggestions though based on my own armor

1. Dirty the hell out of it especially the flight suit, with Boba dirty = badass.

2. Get to where you can don most of it yourself, I can actually put my whole armor on jet pack and all if I have to. Can't always count on having friends around when ya wanna troop around.

3. On actual troops you've got to be more careful than others around cause of your extra jet pack space and gear. I can look bothways but children have a habit of jetting in the way between looking and turning. Last thing you want is to knock some kid out because you both didn't see each other.

4. Keep an eye out for a creative way to fix your gauntlet on your right hand. I can see it's not closed all the way. My clasps broke on my ****** SFP gaunt so I put a leather strap on it. If you have to try to find a bigger one. It's not a HUGE problem, but I know from personal experience that there's jerks out there that'll give ya **** over small ****. I got annoyed once all night cause I was wearing my unaltered SFP armor out and some other nerds thought they'd unendingly lecture me on how it "should" be.

5. Have fun, it's an elaborate armor and can be lengthy to put on, but it can be more fun than any other armor. Make it yours and love it.

oh yeah and shin tools too, again small issue doesn't HAVE to be done, but it does look nice.
