501st approval?

I'm just starting work on my Boba Fett costume et all, and I've come to a crossroads: I love the weathering on the ESB Hero bucket, but as for the rest of Boba, I think I prefer the bit of color variation in the RotJ costume. Since I decided to start working on a costume, joining the 501st when it's all done seems like a good way to let this hobby benefit others (by doing some of the charity work when it/I can), not to mention meeting other costumers out there! I'm pretty unfamiliar with the 501st, though.

Would any one know if having the ESB helmet with the RotJ costume prevent me from eventually joining? It seems pretty minor to me, but I'm also new to the costuming community, so I don't know the strictness of it all.... If so, I may just do the entire Fett in ESB, because I love the look of the ESB helmet that much. Thanks!

You could be the ROTJ: Special Edition Boba which has the ESB helmet with the ROTJ armor. There are quite a few people with that configuration out there... and its 501st approveable because it was seen onscreen. Search for ROTJ SE here and you'll see. Good luck!

Had I seen this before, I would have replied. But yeah, go for the Special Edition. I'm also going for that version

Just be prepared for the shocking blaster I am an ESB Head. And I love the ESB blaster, but the ROTJ blaster is cool too, however, the SE blaster is the ROTJ blaster with half a scope. How many times can someone say blaster in the same sentence? I scored 6. :P
