    3D modeling Fett

Hey guys. I got bored tonight so I decided to start modeling Fett. I am doing a lil Chibi version of him (huge head small body) and hopefully get him fully rigged so I can pose him in different poses. I wanna do this for my girl so I can make cute lil valentines pictures for her haha. I'll post pictures once its done!

    lil update

Got the helmet pretty much done. You can see me working on the JP in the background hahaha... I know its not at all accurate... im going for semi accuracy but with disproportioned parts. Like big helmet/gaunts on lil body. Kinda a cute look, for valentines day. If interested I can rescale to a more accurate size. I made this helmet in about 5-6 hours.

Jetpack. I know its not proportionate. I am just making all of his parts for now. It'll come together

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! What software are you going to use for the modeling?

Maya, Photoshop, and Mudbox. I've been importing reference images to get things relatively accurate but obviously proportions will be a lil skewed haha. The idea is to make a lil Fett guy that I can pose anyway I want to make random E-Valentines, maybe even a lil short animation.

Looks good! Are you painting the textures on the models or exporting UVs or...? I'm trying to learn texture mapping better, also using Maya.

I am laying out the UVs in Maya and taking it over to Mudbox to texture. I touch up textures and what not in Photoshop.
