worried about blaster

So I ordered a blaster from a guy on etsy. Everything else I've ordered has been through MOW but this time I thought I'd be alright. Well I know this blaster is definitely off. It's already shipped and I'm wondering if it can be fixed to look better? It doesn't look terrible. I know I'd need to throw on some different greeblies, also need to cut the barrel and add a smaller piece of chrome with appropriate weathering and holes. What worries me too is the butt stock with the small holes : [
I'll post some pics..what do you guys think I should do ?

That is the Hasbro toy blaster that is only 24" long and is about 8" too short of the real blaster.The blaster on the bottom of the pic is the one your getting.

Some one just made yours look like a ESB blaster instead of the ROTJ version that it was.
I hope you didn't pay too much for a painted up and slightly modified $35-40 toy blaster.

oh man..yeah that's what it will be then I'm sure. Definitely made a mistake. Looks like I'll have to start over with the blaster. : [

Sorry to see this brother, that is definitely not an approvable style or size unfortunately. I've seen guys sell painted up Hasbro EE-3s for the price of a blaster kit on here. Hope you didn't spend 100+ on this thing... check around the Cargo Hold and talk to MLS, Sidewinder, or Storm Rider for EE-3 kits

My kid got me one for my birthday last year. He got it off eBay, and it too was a painted Hasbro. It was the thought that counted, so I couldn't tell him he'd been had. Just one more sucky thing to chock up to experience.

Yeah well..I figure maybe someone will be interested and I can sell it to them for a fair price if they're not looking for the screen accurate one. Also trying to talk my brother into doing a custom mando and I think this rifle could be great for that. Also I'll definitely talk to those guys! Thanks man!

Yeah..definitely something to chock up to experience. From now on I'm consulting friends or you guys here on TDH before a purchase.

So I sent messages to MLS, Sidewinder, and storm rider. I still can't post in the cargo hold yet but I'm definitely interested in an ESB blaster rifle kit. Thanks for the info man! If anyone else sees this and has recommendations for me on where to start looking, that would be great ! Thanks guys.

if it still has the sounds/lights you may be able to take em out and put em in a nice kit. JCFEtt did that..(i think Sidewinder set most of it up actually) and its awesome...so then at least it wont be a total loss! i actually got one just for that purpose.

I might have to do that ! yes it does have the sound and lights, which is one pretty cool thing about this one in my opinion.
but I may leave it as is and try to sell it. is there any market for the Hasbro ones ? I still think its a cool blaster, but I'm going for screen accuracy and it just won't work.

MLS Blasters are really nice not sure how Matt sends his blasters these days but mine had a really nice shipping crate...

wow nice. I actually ordered the kit from MLS last night, so I don't think I'll get the awesome plywood crate lol. That does look pretty cool.
but yeah the kit looks fantastic in the photos and a lot of people recomended him on other threads.

That looks amazing

I'll check out MLS today, because my awesome ee-3 toy arrived lol. I'm actually surprised the sound is as good as it is, compared to the overall cheap feel of this junk.

jetpackman, contact him and sidewinder. both of their blasters and kits looked awesome. I ordered the MLS kit last night. Can't wait to build it.

The sound is pretty decent.
I just tore apart my Hasbro EE-3 and I'm in the process of figuring out how I can add the electronics to my MLS kit. It seems to be heading in the right direction. I'll be posting pics in WiP thread when I get a bit farther along.
I'm trying to decide if i want a functioning trigger or just a switch/button somewhere near the trigger.

Yea the sound is great! thats why when i went to Disney i bought one..i took it home and gutted the sound stuff out of it. I have B grade MLS kit here that im going to put it in when i have the time.

hahaha you posted this as i was typing. Thats what JCFETT has, though its a sidewinder kit, with the hasbro electronics in it. It sounds even better in a good kit and the red light way in the barrel on the ESB blaster looks epic!

lol i know man. and it's the first thing i noticed haha.
i was annoyed last night but then i was thinking, one more piece to give my brother. trying to convince him to do a custom mando. i think this blaster would be cool with that.

So far, I've drilled a hole down the barrel. I have a buddy, who's going to 3D print a battery holder so I can run the 3 AAA batteries end to end down the barrel. Even thought the sound is decent, I'm still going to upgrade the speaker. It's the trigger/button issue i need to sort out.
