I tied a black thread around them at the top and left enough to go through the vest then put that in a needle and stuck it through the vest then I tried that around a very small washer so I could untie it if I needed to.
I use a small loop of hemp string hitched around the braids at the top. Then pin the loop by running a safety pin through it from the inside of the vest.
Is there an order they go in or just throw them on?
You can also use a safety pin through the vest like in the pic below:
You could use a small safety pin per braid or one large one for all of them.

I think Id put the safety pin through the braid so you dont see it
What about what order they go in? I too would like to know this.
Come on guys. Enlighten us!
Just put them on, they will fold into each other during movement so it doesn't really matter.
Thanks THB!!!![]()
Yep, saftey pin.
As for the order, check the gallery and try to match whatever version you're looking to achieve as far as the placement.
Yeah, havent been able to find any pics of the SE that show the order clearly.
Here you go. I don' tthink the placement is consistent, though. In fact, on the parade shot, the braids are on the wrong shoulder. And of course he's missing a knee guard and no shin tools.
Does anyone do a true SE version though? I've never seen anyone with that weird half scope on their blaster.
I've been using braided crepe hair. It comes in the standard colors, and it's cheap. You can find the stuff in any costume shop.
Safety pins, tiny black zip-ties, there's alot of ways to attach 'em.![]()
