I finally made the decision to devote a lot of time and money into something we have all wanted, a really freaking amazing, top notch ESB Fett! I started buying everything when I got out to Afghanistan in September, and when I got back...well, like the title says, just like Christmas! I was just like a little boy, my wife almost couldnt stand it! So here is a breakdown of what I got goin on so far:

Girth belt from ebay
cape from TK409
gauntlet darts and knee darts from evo props
heiland flash tube
scope for my EE-3
Shin tools from Triomerett
Real U.S. Divers buckle
toe spikes by Mojo-Fett
Horse hair braids by Woodman
Blaster and side arms from Stormrider, with stock by Woodman
Nemrod holster hopefully soon on the way from Fettpride
UT pouches from Cucblack
Asok cold cast helmet with visor
Ammo belt and sling from Booboofett
Decals from Lucksy
full armor -knees from redkraytdragon
knees on the way from cucblack
shoulder studs from bobamaker
and boots on the way from MoW

And just to top it off with an amazing cherry, for christmas my wife got me a mannequin!

Like I said, just like christmas!

And I wanted to give a very special thanks to both Asok and Booboofett, for helping out a poor Marine. You guys are amazing, and the work you do is simply incredible.

Awesome! cant wait to see how it come along! Im waiting on a full armor kit by red kray dragon and a helmet by bobamaker.... So very interested how you approach the armour! Good luck and make sure you give as much detail as possible :)

Been working a bit today...trying to get through my awesome blaster kits from Stormrider, finished the side arm, just a little bit left on the EE-3. But here for your viewing pleasure, the finished side arm!

Also, trimmed my helmet a little and starting buffing...

Criticisms and critiques are very welcome!

Very good start you have there! What bothers my eyes are the shin tools, but you have all the time to upgrade to a better version. Just keep the awesome updates coming!

Looks like you have all your 'ducks' lined up in a row! Can't wait to see your build ;)

Hobbit, your armor is on the way my friend! Let me know if you didn't get a tracking notification and I'll dig it up for you again. I think I either sent you one directly or through pp. ;)

Awesome side arm dude! This thread is gonna be amazing! :)

Hey RKD, yeah got it through pp, thanks!

More work today! I finished up the painting, gluing, and weathering on the EE-3, adorned it with my BEAUTIFUL BBF sling, I want to mount the scope with magnets so I can take the whole thing apart still, and my magnets are in the mail!
Here are a couple close ups and a shot of my lil blaster buddies chillin

I also found some time to paint my shin tools, not actual found parts, but I think they turned out okay!

Please please, comments and critiques are welcome! Im still pretty new to all this, so anything helps!

Looking great! I'll be starting my ESB Fett soon, so I'm watching your progress.
Nice hoodie, BTW! I have one of those myself!

Worked even MORE today! Can I just say, vacation freaking rocks! I decided to start my armor on the cod and butt plate, seeing as you dont see much of them, I figured it would be a good place to hone my paintin skills. Im using rattle cans, started with a krylon primer, then went to a rustoleum metallic silver, then line stripe yellow, and finished with spruce green...although after it dried I am thinking I should have gone with the hunt club green? Any thoughts/suggestions on that? And with that, here are some pictures for y'all to take a look at!

I used a spare tube of sensodyne toothpaste I had laying around for masking. And boy was it hard to get that line marker to go on clean...in fact, I didnt. So the cod and butt armor have a LITTLE bit of texturing, which I am trying to maintain gives it a little something extra...

Also today, gave just a little bit of weathering to my Cucblack pouches

Once again, all comments and critiques are greatly appreciated!

The cod and the back belt looks awesome (the scratch style resembles with the Pre-Pro #2 one, not that is a bad thing). Just keep up the good work!

I used a similar spray can setup as you and I used Krylon gloss sun yellow instead. It might be easier to get even coats of, though for a spraypaint it is a pretty big PITA. It's thin, likes to run, and can bubble if the weather isn't nice, but it may be a step up if the can you're spraying upside down is doing that now anyway :rolleyes. It may look a big bright and glossy but if you give the plate a light brushdown with 000 steel wool after 24 hours the colors will blend together a bit and knock down the gloss finish.

The helmet dome, cheeks, and jetpack are straight spruce green. The armor is a bit darker. I used spruce as a base and then misted it with hunter green and flat black. Just takes some practice to get the rattlecans to blend. Darker colors always blend into lighter colors easier than light on dark.

Looks great so far mate! Once you get some weathering on them they'll be in tip top shape! Boy that angle you took the pic of on the cod makes it look really funky lol! :p I was thinking "I know I didn't sculpt it like THAT"! Haha

Haha, yeah, I took it while it was sitting on my lap...But I AM a little thinner than you, I trimmed about an inch off each side and used a heat gun to shape it to me a little better...

Thanks a lot! That was actually my plan for today. Gonna head down to lowes and try to find some of that hunter green...cant seem to find it. But hopefully today will be some weathering and move on to some more armor! Thanks again!

Okay, been a few days, too lazy to update, but I HAVE been working! So first up, finally got some magnets in the mail, and mounted my scope to my EE-3! Pictures below for your viewing pleasure:

IMG_5703.JPGIMG_5704.JPGIMG_5705.JPG

Also, filled and painted my side arm handle...too keep weight down, I MAY have shoved a latex glove in there as filler under the magic putty....

IMG_5766.JPGIMG_5770.JPG

Also painted my Bobamaker shoulder studs

IMG_5702.JPGIMG_5768.JPG

I got most of my armor primed, and drilled out the three holes in the ab plate for a more movie like appearance

IMG_5771.JPGIMG_5773.JPGIMG_5772.JPG

And last update for today, finished my butt and cod armor, glued some elastic in, and got that infamous fett thong! Pay no heed to the shiny silver eyelets on my girth belt, those are semi-temporary

Once again, comments and critiques welcome!

When I played hockey more consistently I knew goalkeepers who would tape lucky pennnies or other small bits in the butt-end tape of their stick. This reminds me of that :)

Yay for updates! Been working a little bit on my helmet, doing tids and tads at a time, I cut out the visor, fixed up the rangefinder, magnetized the lens, mounted the visor, and mounted the visor, and here are the pictures!

IMG_5795.JPGIMG_5799.JPGIMG_5810.JPGIMG_5788.JPGIMG_5789.JPGIMG_5793.JPGIMG_5796.JPGIMG_5797.JPGIMG_5790.JPGIMG_5800.JPGIMG_5791.JPGIMG_5786.JPGIMG_5804.JPGIMG_6029.JPG

Next up, those awesome MoW boots and Mojo-Fett toe spikes, got to work a bit on them a bit...lemme know what you think!
