will this Girthbelt do? please help!

There are ways to dye those and Victory Canter is excellent to deal with. They have great customer service. You can dye them with stain.

I used one of these for a custom mando and dyed it with RIT first. That didn't do much. Then I used a combo of spray paints to get the color I wanted. This is the color I ended up with. This is the exact belt you are looking at from VC.

Im thinking thats the same belt Ponte has and compared to the Nonsynthetic one I had it was very soft and flimsy and also Bled stain....did u have any of these issues?

It bled the dye but it has held the paint and stain fine. I have not noticed it rubbing off or anything up to this point. I probably did this one about 6 months ago, so I think if it was going to it would have done it by now.

It is fairly soft but it holds shape aroung me fine. The paint stiffens it up some.

Hey thanks for the reply! I have a waistline of 34"..based on my pants/jeans size.

What allowance should i give when ordering from VC? sizes are 38"-60".. Of course i do not want the belt to go all the way around my hip.. just like on the AOSW display fett..

If im 34" waist, probably 36 hip.. plus the flightsuit, front and back cod peices...should i order the 40"?

Ur waiste should be measured at the top of ur hips in theory...id go 38 or 40 not sure really i have a 30" waist and used a 34 it was a bit snug with strapping and all...so ill probably add 2" next time

Also remember that the tip to tip length of the girth belt is actually less than the length listed. In an email from VC that I have she informed me that the actual length is about 4 inches shorter than what is listed. Hence a 38 is actually 34 tip to tip.

This is due to the fact that we are wearing a horse belt that is supposed to be attached to a saddle. The saddle ends that would fit into the buckle make up an additional 2 inches per side.......for the 4 inch total.

You do want a gap in the back so if you wear a 34 inch pants and you ordered a 38, you would have a built in 4 inch gap at the back..........add the armor and clothing and you are probably looking at a 5 inch gap might be about right.

If you have any questions or want to verify what I am saying send them an email. When I bought mine they responed to my emails very quickly, usually within the hour.
