Hey everyone,
My flightsuit is getting a bit washed out/grey-ish and I'd like to re dye it back to the correct blue that it needs to be. Anyone do this that knows how, how much, color, etc. for dying the jumpsuit for an ESB blue?
Thanks!

I used RIT Evening Blue...had to order it direct from their site but if you had a Micheals or some kinda fabric store nearby then you could check there. Don't use the whole box, only half a box did me good.![]()
I'm only experianced with powdered Rit. The only types of blue you can get in my area are standard, navy, and royal. "Evening Blue" is a standard shade of blue, so it may work right, since you can control how dark your dye will be. Go to the website (rit) look at their color chart and find the color you want, this will tell you what two colors to combine to get that certain color. Be careful though, it isn't always 50/50 you'll need to play around with your dye bath untill you get the color you want. Let me go look at the site real quick.... My bad, not the color chart.. it's the "create a custom color" section...... Yeah, I'm gonna say you want light blue from Rit, so your best bet is using evening blue but only a little bit. So, make your dye bath very very light, and dye the suit, if it is too light, then next time use more dye. Start small so you don't mess it up and make it too dark, always record how much of the powdered dye you are using in each bath. A scale would be best, or just use teaspoons and tablespoons. Good luck, let's see pics when you are done.
Surprisingly I found powdered RIT evening blue at my local Zellers. I bought out all their stock thinking it was old stock. When I went back again the shelf was full again.....really hard to fight the urge to grab them all again.
Iam using Dylone China Blue for my ESB jumpsuit. I think it matches the "Jeremy" suit pretty good![]()
