Wes' ESB Fett Build

Yes! Awesome. I'm expecting a big order from BM soon and I can start my own thread. Boom.

It looks great so far! It seems that those guitar racks are specially made for Fett jetpacks. Just keep the awesome updates (with lots of images) coming!

I never thought of using guitar stands, I should get a few. Anyway the suit is coming along great and your buddy's paint jobs look really good.

Thank you sir! His paint work is phenomenal. Definitely pick up some stands because they're great. They seen a bit front heavy but it's fine if it has a strap.

The helmet & soft parts look amazing. That's a great helmet pic for reference as well. Is there a thread or can anyone let me know what the specific differences between the ESB and ROTJ helmets?

Thanks Matt! Gloves are from saint_nasty's holiday run. Love how light they are.

Got a question for you guys. What are my options for a sidearm holster? I honestly don't have the funds right now or else I would jump on that other spot in that interest thread in the cargo hold. I'm really worrying that when I do have the funds in a few months that there won't be any opportunities. Any thoughts?

I know bobamaker makes a leather holster that was given the ok by my 501st advisor. I don't remember how much daz quoted me on it but I think it's around the same price as the FP holster. I can look at my old emails from daz and see if I have the pics and price if you would like.

I've actually talked to Daz about it. I'm sure his holsters are phenomenal I'm just having a hard time paying the same amount the sidearm costs. This is the only thing I'm not liking about the ESB. I just wish it wasn't so rare!

I hear you there man. The sidearm and holster pushes me towards ROTJ/SE more than anything. Its ridiculous how much the two are together. Great build so far btw

wes you should contact KCr7pr...i have one of his holsters and it cleans up real nice.

Mini text update: Ordering MOW boots and dark-side's jetpack upgrades. Also hoping to get a BBF belt sometime next month...stay tuned..

BBF's belts are just awesome. I got my ROTJ/SE belt a couple weeks ago and shed a few tears of joy when I pulled it out of the box. Your build is looking great! Looking forward to how it progresses.

So I started to scratch build the sidearm today. I found a great Nerf gun from Walmart and some greeblies from Home Depot. I plan on correcting the handle's shape, adding the grip texture and then getting the angle before I continue with the rest. I might even Rub n Buff the pipe. Not sure yet.

What do you guys think?

Where do you guys find real parts like that for that price? Whenever I look for a nemrod or pulce, I get nothing or on rare occasion I actually find one, its way out of my price range.

I was just browsing different Craigslists in my state looking for "spear gun" and came across this beaut.

Here are a couple of shots of what I have so far. Gauntlets will be finished in a couple weeks. Really need to get some MOW boots and a BBF belt sometime next month when funds allow it.

Very nice Wes! Man you can go wrong with MOW boots and BBF belt, I have both and love them. That BBF is amazing!

Here's a side by side comparison of what I have so far (minus the armor that's on it's way, the Jetpack that I need a harness for, and the real Nemrod holster). I plan on hitting my left leg some more and I need to weather the vest too. Let me know what you think!

What colour is that on the gauntlets? It looks a bit too dark, if you look at the comparison pic the gauntlets are a lighter green
Than on the helmet dome and cheeks yet your gaunts are darker, other than that I think its going great.

Everything looks killer dude. Paintjob on the gauntlets looks great. The rocket and the flamethrower look really nice as well. I agree that they look a little dark compared to the helmet though. Did the same guy paint them?

Yeah same guy painted them. He's been doing paint jobs for Florida 501st costumes for years and Fett is no exception. I really think it's the lighting. Here are some other shots of the Gaunts.





He said since he doesn't have any of the US medium green he used hunt club green.

Still haven't ordered the boots or belt. Funds are not good right now but I just got promoted so it should pick back up in a couple weeks. I should be getting one of Dark-Side's aluminum Jetpack beacons in the mail any day now.

And I've screwed up. I was weathering my vest by very lightly misting it with some light brown spray paint and I noticed my can was running low. So I got a little closer and then I thought it was completely out so I put the spray can about 4 inches away from the vest to see if I could get any particles and bam. A whole glob of brown paint coats onto the left sleeve of my vest.

I'm frantically washing it as hot as my washer can go. I coated it with stain off and detergent.

Here are a couple pictures. I'm being told by several different Fetts that I'm fine.

I wouldn't even worry about that! Your shoulder bell will cover 90% of that.

Your shoulder bell and cape should take up enough real estate and save ya man.
