walnut stock

So I've spent the last few weeks trying to carve out my own walnut stock. After many hours of carving and sanding, and more sanding, then just a little more sanding, I finally went out and got myself some stain!

Wow! what a difference the right stain will make.
Here's a side-by-side. Stained and unstained.:)

That's a very nice piece of wood you have there :)
Shame I had to make do with some wood packing to make mine but you've turned that walnut into a work of art. There's nothing like real wood, to compliment the rest of your blaster :) :)

Nice job, do you have pics with the rest of the blaster?

Said and done it will look something like this.

I'm still waiting for my machined aluminum "D" bracket and I need to route out the section of the stock to slide the bracket into it, but I think you get the idea.

My brother and I finally got around to routing out the stock, and much to our surprise it worked!
Don't you just love it when a plan comes together?
