Trust me when I say that they are worth every penny. I have yet to see anybody make a boot more accurate than his anywhere at any price.

How big can you make 'em? Don't suppose you can make a size 15?

If he can't....forget Boba. You need to do a Vader by the sound of your size.

Biggest is size 13. They run big. You might fit in them. If they don't fit you can get a full refund.

Thanks. I already have a set of size 15 from another source. Your boots certainly look better, but I tried halloween last year with some converted size 14 work boots and had bloody feet at the end of the night.

Yeah, I'm certainly a big guy. I could do a vader, but my buddy already is working on one. (he's a 6'6" stormtrooper now) I'm 6'5" and about 235 lbs. I guess I end up looking more like POTF Boba Fett.

Get on board with these boots if you are sitting on the fence. They are pretty sweet, I've got a pair myself. Just look at the pics of people with their Boba costumes on and you'll see 9 out of 10 will have these boots on. -Mark

I *finally* nabbed a pair of Cheng boots off of a seller on another board. They're not quite my size (1 size too big), but I think with a pair of Dr. Scholl's insoles with arch supports, they'll fit just right.

The price was right, especially since they were unworn and already weathered!

Still, I am on Mark's list for a new pair. I figure I'll keep the pair that fits the best, and sell the other pair.

Received an email from mark today. If your interested in getting a pair let him know so he can get the run done for Halloween. At this point he does not have enough interested to do the run period. Let him know if our committed. Also, his computer took a dive on him so it may take him a day or two to get back to you from his friends computer. If we cant get the numbers to keep the price down mark said he can still do it with the number we have for a little more. Something to consider if we cant get anymore individuals interested in completing their Fett Prop with the most awsome boots available. Anyone heard back from the other boards? And do they know this will likely be it?

They are made out of canvas. The welting (black lines) are leather.

Man... I WISH I had the money to buy 3 or 4 extra pairs of them for "later".

I already have one pair, so the pair that I've promised to buy will give me 2 pair - one to wear, and one as a reserve.

You guys that have signed up already (or are thinking about it) might want to consider buying extra pairs. Think of it as an "investment"...

I have a question about these boots. what theme are they in I mean is there a diff in boba's boots from esb or rotj? lucky me I'll be getting a pair my sweetheart is paying for them

Bear - to my knowledge, differences in the boots between ESB and ROTJ are negligible. Of course, I *could* be entirely WRONG...

I'm not an expert on this part of the costume by ANY means. Maybe someone with more extensive knowledge on this subject will enlighten us.

I think probably the only differences are in weathering, etc.

With a little weathering they'll rock for either version.

From what I've seen the difference is just weathering.

I'm assuming they are the same boot from ESB-ROTJ. I could be wrong.

The ESB versions seem much wider at the toe but thats just my opinion...

I've found that you have to end up buying items when they become available, *NOT* when YOU want to buy them!

I sent him an email a couple days ago, He told me about two and a half months.

2 and a half months? Like an idiot I've been running to the window every time I heard a UPS truck drive down the street LOL!

For some reason I thought we might see the boots before Halloween....good thing I wasn't planning on finishing my Boba costume anytime soon. I would have been walking around in full gear, wearing a pair of white Nike's!

Well, my name's not on the list, but I succumbed to the Fettish of Fett and ordered a pair of Fett boots a month or so ago.

Can't wait!!! I'm getting stuff ready to ebay, and soon I'll be building my Fett, first from the ground up, and jumpsuit out...

Well, it will be a later Christmas gift! Looking forward to it. But in my case I will have a helmet, a gun and boots - that's all. Not much of a costume yet.... or is it ?

Well here's the deal. The helmet protects the most vital part of your body. Now, if someone laughs at you because you look stupid with a helmet, gun and boots, you can shoot them. But if they are too close just kick them.

Works for me!

If you're not done by Christmas, you can always fill in the rest of your costume with a red jumpsuit and call yourself "Boba Claus"

Emailed TD the other day and he is coordinating with his maker and making corrections to make them more accurate. What those are I have no idea as they are f!*!*ng sweet. Hes thinking a couple of months. Ive waited this long and cant make em any better so waiting patiently is what Im doing. BF295 if your still interested email him. his quick on the return and you should be able to get on board in the next few days as the impression I got was he was finishing up the final details.

You must have a size 13 foot!

I *normally* wear a size 9 shoe, so when I found a pair of these that were a size 10 and unworn, I snagged them thinking that with some insoles, the extra space would be filled up. WRONG! Even with thick socks and a *good* pair of Dr. Scholl's athletic insoles, they're STILL a size or two too big! I think I could comfortably wear an 8...

I lived in San Antonio for a number of years, and attended several Sci-Fi Expos down there. I got my Cheng boots right before a Sci-Fi Expo in Plano a couple years ago. I mean RIGHT before. The postman dropped them off at the apartment office at 2:30PM, and I picked up the box on the way out of town.

I had to weather them that night at the hotel. Those boots were gorgeous! I'll never forgive myself for weathering a perfectly good pair of boots.

They're comfortable enough to wear without pads or anything. As a matter of fact, I wear them to take the trash out, get the mail, etc...

I met Mark Cheng at SWC2 last year. He walked up and said "You're wearing my boots." It didn't click until he introduced himself. Nice guy! If you don't have these boots yet, get a loan, pawn your wife, do whatever...get these boots!

Talked to MC today, unfortuantly no new news, he said the fac. would give him an update this past week but they didnt. I guess one of the REPs. was on vacation so basically there's no updates.... O well thats expected. In good time boys, in good time.

I talked to MC about two weeks ago. He said that he'll do a pair for me for &#36;200. I'm not sure if around that time (5 months ago, which I'm sorry that I forgot to read the post's date) they were the same price or cheaper, based on quantities.

Darth they were the same price. Seemes a little steep for boots, but there "WELL" worth it.

Sorry for the delay to answe this one. In fact, I think that I'm planning to order the boots from MC. i know those are expensive boots, but I've heard that they're really comfortable and too accurate I would say. I've never wore in my feet something that expensive, and I think that this will be the first time.

Man, I'm glad I stumbled accross my pair on Ebay around the same time this run was started. Ouch!

For chrissakes, the least MC could do is post a quick note here in the thread to give us all a head's up! I mean really, how long does it take to type the words, 'Hey guys, sorry about all the delays'.

The guy hasn't said a word to us since September. He certainly had alot to say when he was collecting our money. That kind of thing really bothers the hell out of me.

I really hate to add that I too am growing a bit impatient.

Yeah, It kinda sucks that nobody knows whats going on, but I guess I can't complain too much. MC was kind enough to let me in on the run in Jan. If things had gone as planned, I would have missed out, & everyone else would have their boots by now! But still, It would be nice (as you said GreenGrif) if we got a few updates now and again. Tim seems to be doing a heck of job corresponding w/ MC anyway, so I guess thats good enough for me. I'm not bitchin here :o, I just really can't wait to get my boots!

Eassssssy Greengriffon, you make it sound like MC is about to run away with our money or something. :p The guy's obviously very busy, and he's trying his hardest to get our boots created. I've emailed him numerous times and he has always emailed me right back on the situation(factory problems, switching, etc). I bet if you emailed him he'd be more than glad to tell you the situation. MC is a respected prop maker around here, not some kind of lazy bum.

Hmmmm....in response to an email I sent him in mid-February, he told me he wouldn't be able to do the run, and that he would be refunding everyone's money...I quote:

Obviously, he hasn't posted the update, as this message was sent me on February 26, and he hasn't refunded my money, either, which he told me in another email would take 2-3 weeks (which have passed)...I'm trying really hard to be patient and understanding, as everyone has voiced such confidence in him, but it does seem kind of strange to me.

I've told almost everybody that has inquired. It has been canceled. I'm waiting for my refund and my molds so I can hopefully get it ressurected at another factory. I want to refund everybodies money first. It's going to take me a while though. I will have an official update and let everybody know was soon as I get my molds and refund back. I'll keep you

So I'm satisfied. I don't really know why he doesn't often post here, since he's so prompt about returning emails.

I'm beginning to think MC got a "0% interest loan" out of us for almost 8 months. Try getting THAT kind of deal at the bank!

I can say that too, since I already own ONE pair of MC boots. That's no excuse for dropping the ball on this one and not keeping people informed.

You take an "interest poll" to gauge support, then you get everything in line, and THEN you collect the money. I think MC reversed steps 2 and 3 here... You NEVER take money from people until you have a product to DELIVER. If you need money to do a project, you take it out of your OWN pocket - not your customers' pockets!

If you don't have the money to do a project, and you can't wait to be reimbursed when the money from customers starts rolling in, then DON'T DO THE PROJECT.

I spearheaded the campaign for MC to do this run of boots back in AUGUST. I emailed no fewer than 30 people on this board PERSONALLY pleading with them to order a pair of boots. Know what it got me? NOTHING. Not so much as a freaking EMAIL from MC saying that he was sorry for delays, or that he'd refund my money, or even "Thanks for the hard work". That's gratitude for ya. Well, I know all I need to know now.

FH, don't worry about it (unless you paid unrefunded money!). I was REALLY interested in a pair of boots as well. I talked to MC (via personal email, which I have a copy on hand) probaly last month and a half, maybe two monts ago and he seemed to be interested in doing a pair for me, after RA gave me a link to his email address, but I didn't know at the time that there was a threat in the forum about a boot run, until later. Now that I was saving my money for the boots (which I have now), then I sense that the "boot run" is no more.

I was thinking about writing an email to MC to see what's going on with that, but based on what I'm reading previously...I don't think I'm gonna risk myself and send money without being sure the product is done, like FettHunter said. I'd probably have to start ideas of how to do the boots yourself, and I know there's a threat somewhere around here...

I think the word you're wanting to use here is a thread (a string of replies added to a post), not a threat. I saw you use that in another post and thought it was a typo, but I figured I'd chime in here before anyone thought that there were "threats" being posted.
