who knows what those original split plugs that were used on the stock are really called? i'm trying to find originals, but none of the words i searched for bring up anything on the net. i found an old thread here where someone had ordered a bunch. but i can't find an accurate name for those...
Thanks a lot for your work alan !
Awesome job Alan! I can't wait to see your scope, ROTJ barrel and greeblie drawings.
These are fantastic pal well done!!!
This may be a noob question, but what is the best material to use for this replica?
I'd say Probably Sintra or a rigid plastic....
Errr...dont mean to sound dumb, but i dont remeber Fett using this...can someone plz help me clarify? sry
This is the flare gun that Fett's ESB and ROTJ rifles were built from.
Ahhhh...so its not the one he uses when he's hunting bounties? are there templates for that? i dont know the name of that blaster. Btw, anyone know when i can use "The Sarlacc Pit" part of the forums?
the links in the first post are still working and active.
Here is the thread for the greebies blueprints
Impressive work! Are you sharing the CAD-files as well? I just built a CNC router and thought I'd get started with my sons costume.
Wow! this looks good when will you be starting your build? i will try to make one, the frame will be made by flattening pvc pipe with a heat gun and gluing it together while cutting the space for the internals.. ill post you some pics if you'd like.. this looks awesome! the blueprints look dead on.. thanks again
Your research and detail is very impressive. Thanks for all your work. Tell me, from your research have you ever come across reference pics of the left side or inside of the ESB EE3 and whether or not the V8 arm/cog lever is also present on that side of the gun? I haven't been able to find anything definitive on that in my searches.
Sadly, Alan haven't posted lately so I will try to answer your questions. From the few images that I found it seems that in the Executor Bridge scene the inner side of the stock had the same setup as the outer side, but positioned slightly closer to the grip:
In the Interrogation Door to Elevator scene is hard to say if the inner piece (the one that is close to the grip) is already missing or not:
In the Carbon Chamber scene that piece is missing or at least it seems missing:
You the man Raf. Thanks for the pics. I never noticed the open left gauntlet from the gantry set either. Yeah, I see how greeblies seem to be missing. I suppose its that whole issue of the rented props with their removable/temporary greebs being lost during production. Makes the whole idea of movie accuracy kind of tricky. Thanks again.
i love this thread
thank you all for your hard work
Updated the fist post to fix the broken links with full size PDFs.
