The 2nd try is definitely better!
The perfect (digital) ESB belt! Now (or whenever possible) on to the physical one...
Not to add to the workload of the amazing stuff going on here, but I wonder if it would be worth it to include a 3D-printable file for the block/shell to wrap the ammo pouch material in for those of us who might want to take a crack at making their own belt...
I hope i understand what you said (my english is sometimes approximate). I will post patterns for the layer around the block with documents in section 2 ( making a pouch). For those who are interested, i will post my sketchup file.
Some pics of the finished belt.
I will change documents in post #1 with pics of the 3D belt.
UPDATE Post#1 :
New version of the ESB belt (with Rafalfett measurements). More detailed views.
Add link to the sketchup file at the end.
Seems to be the final version
ROTJ belt documents final version are in post#1 + sketchup file.
This is great! i will be returning to this as I create my ammo belt, thanks for putting this all in one easy place...
Great stuff guys. What type of leather should be used do you think?
I'm sure this is know as well but Isn't the SE belt made with white leather (white vinyl?) then painted brown?
Looking forward to seeing more on this -- especially the Supertrooper version. I'm scheming my own take on an ESB version build. That is, I'm using this and your other thread as heavy inspiration, but seeing if an idea I had works as an alternative to how you constructed them. I'll post up what I come up with so you can judge its merits.
Just to clarify, the templates and measurements for the blocks are the measurements just for the inner blocks, not including the material thickness of the layers of wrapped leather? Is that correct?
So the final belt pouch will be 4-5mm thicker in all directions due to material thickness?
Okay perfect, thanks Raf
Real life seems to have waylaid you. Done any work on this project in the past quarter?
Hi Peregrinus, thanks for your interest.
These are the files for the PP1 Version :

I apologize for my long absence. Some family obligations helded me far away from the board.
Now that things became again more quiet, i expect to post more regularly.
