T's ESB Boba Fett Build

Time to attach the Aluminum Flamethrower. First thing first, remove the resin one and drill the holes to attach the new one

Next, I used a shim to create a greeble to attach the wires to the gauntlet and used some E600 to secure the wires to the flamethower.

A bit of wet paint smear to dirty up the wires

@Duder777. I use elastic straps with velcro attached at the end of the straps. The opposite side velcro is placed at the top back portion of the knee border. But if you only use the velcro straps, the knees will shift and move to the side, so you need something else to hold it in place. I am also using nickel size earth magnets so they stay in place. The magnet is placed centered in back of the knee plate and I just slide the other magnet underneath my pants as I am putting them on. Kinda awkward but it works. I guess you can use velcro on the back knee plate and sew it on your pants as well. That should work as well

Looks amazing dude. I myself am planning on an ESB Boba Fett (My first accurate costume ever) and am very nervous, but I think your step by step walkthrough on what you bought (All look amazing btw) will reaaaally help me out. Thanks for starting a great thread man, keep up the fantastic build.

Thanks Gentlemen, I have actually completed my build. My new job position took away alot of free time from making improvements and posting updates. I'll be sharing my completed build as soon as I take new photos.

Duder777 I am not sure if you figured out the knees, but I had to modify mine. Basically I was using the strap and magnet method. While wearing my suit giving away candy for Halloween, the knees just shifted around too much. I changed up to the velcro method. I went with industrial velcro to hold on strong and during a test walk they held secure. This is my new set up:

A long strip of soft velcro inside so the knees can attach to the jumpsuit and also for the straps. Hope it helps.

Another issue I had was my Man of War 2 piece jumpsuit. Most Fetts here opt for the 1 piece jumpsuit, so this isnt a problem. However, the issue I had with the 2 piece was bunching with the top. As I moved around, so did the top suit, it started to bunch up as I walked around, particually around my waist area. So my solution was to use "shirt stays". Shirt stays work really well in keeping your uniform shirts tucked in tight through a 12 hour shift and seem to do the trick with Fett. For those of you who opt for the Man of War 2-piece, you might want to take a look at using them:

Looking good. I like that side arm. I actually did the knees the same way with the velcro all along the inside and on the ends of the straps. Great progress!

I want to share with the Dented Helmet Community that with help of several active members, prop makers and past build threads and tutorials, I finally completed my ESB Boba Fett and was approved for the 501st Legion in November. This credit does not go just to 1 person but the whole Dented Helmet Community as a whole for being so helpful.

Tomorrow is my first official troop, so I decided to do one final test fitting to make sure everything was fitting properly and my recent modifications worked. Since I was getting dressed up, I also pulled out my photography equipment and decided to have a bit of a photoshoot. There is soooo much stuff to get on correct that I overlooked something EVERY obvious....haha:facepalm. My shoulders!!!!! dooooh. Easy fix, but I guess I'll have to do another shoot. So here are just a few unedited shots......

Couple of questions.....How tall are you? The BM lid has always seemed s tad small to me, but it looks perfect on you.
Perfect! The pics you took look out****ingstanding! super nice looking man! Only critique so far.....where's the white dot on the jetpack? Lol. Very easy add on. Once again, great looking costume!

@syllander I am 5'6 1/2 barefoot. With the boots, 1/2 inch lifts and lid, I am a tad over 5'8 in costume. I weigh 195lbs, but have a shorter, thicker neck. My hat size is 7 3/4. Not sure if that helps. But I barely have enough room to get in a 2 fan unit, the servo kit, just wont fit. FettSeven and I actually rushed the Jetpack for my troops. So we missed some details and will get together later to finish it up since he is local, but for now it works. @DeathProof. thanks man, it was been an extremly fun process.
