TRASH CAN ARMOR! *PICS*

OOOOOOOOO I havent seen all of these pic's yet...Yeah I have to agree with everyone else looks great and cant go wrong with the price. Where did you get this idea from? Thats a nice helmet you got there with the ROTJ paint :)

This reminds me a whole lot of phantomviper's bucket armor from last year. One question, is the trash can plastic easier to cut than a pvc bucket? My scar still hurts sometimes from working on the bucket armor.

WOW!!!!!!!

Hey slave1pilot! Watch it there buster...he would not want to go bustin' up a perfectly cut trash can...now would he! Also Mr. Fett Full of Dollars...nice color!

;p

I stopped at the local WalMart to pick up one of these, and they didn't have it. Grrr. They had the smaller one. I'll have to check another WalMart that's nearby.

There goes John recruiting for the White Commando Posse team again.

AFettFullofDollars- That was a bloody brilliant idea, and it looks great! Wish I would've thought of that before I bought my first set of armor.

this is a great idea for those of us who don't have much money, I was thinking also about coating mine in fiberglass to give it alittle extra weight and some extra protection. Any ideas?

What an intensely resourceful idea. That armor looks great.

My only concern would be getting paint to bond well to that type of plastic. I guess it doesn't need any paint if you go with the white mando thing.

Thanks for all the kind words, and Judz, that was a concern of mine too, but the plastic that these trashcans are made from isn't that 'slick, shiny' kind. It has a matte finish to it. I took some really fine grain sand paper and went over it once, and the paint adhered beautifully. Unfortunately I ruined my prototype set while experimenting with some vest attachment techniques.
