too pricy?

I recently contacted someone who has complete fiberglass body armor kits that he sells, and I am new to this whole costuming hobby, so just wanted some input from the "experts" on how much is too much for a kit? Basically, what price should I be shooting for?

What is the makers name, or I.D.? Can you post pictures of the Kit? Does He/She proudly present there work, or hide it with fuzzy pictures?

The price of fibreglass armour varies slightly from maker to maker and depends upon the detail and time put into it. We could do with knowing the name of the maker and the price he's asking for it in order to give you a real opinion. Also is it for a complete set (ie: chest plates, back plate, cod peice, collar ect)? It would also help if we knew how much your prepared to pay for your armour, that way we could advise better.

Beetlefix on ebay sells nearly complete torso fiberglass armor set for about $163 on ebay. Incl. chest, back, stomach, hexagonal piece, collar, front groin cod.... Is he any good?

hi darkskywalker i brought my armour from him and its very good as you can see in the picture excuse the poor quality of the pics, they where taken with my camera phone.

well the guy i have been talking to does proudly display his work, nothing to hide. he offers in a kit all the chest armor, the back armor, groin, buttplate, collarplate, shoulder bells and the kneepads with darts for just over 250.

ahhhhhhh - you are talking about MLC armor - I have the complete set and it is great! Definately worth the extra cash. As an added bonus Rex is awesome to deal with.

Good luck!

I went with Beetlefix for my Jango armour. Ok I know it's a slightly different shape to Boba's but he had good reviews and I must say I am really pleased with the results.
I bought chest, collar, shoulders and cod piece and the paint finish he did was excellent. Friendly and helpful guy to deal with too imho.

I was going to say, hands down Judz Dwedd is the BEST value on the board...IF you are doing that Jango stuff...but who does that ? :)
