Since these will be my first vests sewn by me, I don't have any pictures as of yet. But I will be ripping off Ladysewforus for her patterns and materials. I may even borrow her sewing machine if I'm good lol.

I can post a picture of my wife's vests , she charges 75.00 plus shipping. If you want to wait, I'll post a picture after I've done my 1st one.

I will be able to give tricks of the trade to DC as he goes.


I am hopeful this will help out a bit here at TDH, by this "budget fett" run,
and this will bring more sewing hands here to help out.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I personally can't seam to keep up with my order requests.

I've seen some of these made of regular cotton and others are made of this shiny material. Can anyone explain why this shiny material is used? I assumed that the regular cotton fabric would be preferred...is this more screen accurate or something?

Looks good though!

The shiny material is tackle twill which is the accurate material for the vest. With a little weathering the shine will be diminished enough to look perfect.

I received my vest today and wow. It fits perfectly, no problem moving around, looks so darn nice I almost don't want to dirty it up, almost. Anyone thinking about it should go for it, now. Excellent work DC, thanks again!

Deb's site is perfect for measurement info. But I want to clarify something that isn't well clarified on it (my fault since I wrote the site) the length measurement should start at your shoulder by the side of your neck. Send me a pm when ready bro.

I am very impressed with how well DC has caught on to sewing these vests!
He was reluctant at first, because he has not really sewn anything for anyone else.

I have just given him lots of encouragement. It is possible for everyone to learn to sew.
I hope more people will give it a try!

You can even take sewing classes, oooops, maybe I should not have said that, LOL

But seriously, I am very happy to have Mark sewing next to me. With this economy,

This is part of the reason I have recruited DC to sew. I do have "other" costumes on the project board and I need more time to work on these.

Really nice craftsmanship and a nice price. I'm not a skinny guy ( yet ) and he takes the time to make sure your measurements are right. This vest fits me comfortably, plus, as I lose some weight, I can make it a bit tighter too.

To all, thank you all for your support. My Aunt is fighting hard against the diagnosis that she was handed last Saturday. She seems to be ok for now, but it is obvious that this is going to be a long hard battle, one that most loose. Please continue to pray for her/ or have positive thoughts in that direction. It would be much appreciated. For those of you who may be wondering, I am still doing these vests, and it has become a great love for me... so if your still interested, please send me a pm and I will respond as soon as possible.

I am not sure about costs to Argentina. We will look into it and get back to you.

Every year 1 in 16 women will be diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I know that one 1 in 16 woman. She is some one I've loved since my childhood.
This year, I am walking for my Aunt who is dying of cancer. She has stage 4 (end stage) non small cell lymphoma of the lungs with metastasis to the brain, and liver. We are not expecting her to survive the year.

I know that the economy is horrible, but if you could find it in your heart to donate even a small amount to this worthy cause, I would so appreciate it.
