Taking My Best Shot: Robo's ESB Fett

For anyone keeping track, I recently submitted my application for 501st approval and passed! I'm in!!!

My first official troop in Tha Fett will be this Thursday. I'm stoked to finish this build, but it feels far from finished. There are still so many tweaks I will be doing along the way. I once read a quote about artwork that went something like "a piece of art is never finished, only abandoned". That's how I feel about this build (which is odd, because I don't necessarily feel that way about my TK). I'll do my best to update my build thread here, but thank you for reading and commenting up to this point, I appreciate it!

Congratulations! There was no doubt in my mind that this awesome build would get approved. That last picture practically looks like a movie still.

Wow!! Fantastic work. You've really pulled it off. From the detailing, to the weathering, to the overall look, you've nailed it. Congratulations.

That is nice work bro! I almost went ESB, but switched at the last minute because ROTJ was cheaper (no sidearm). Which is a ludicrous statement to make. (all Fetts cost $$$$$$). :)

Thank you all for the kind words! Yes, kevnaminute, no Fett is a cheap Fett it seems!

I won't make it a habit to share photos from trooping here (after all, it's a build thread), but I figured I'd share my first! It was at the midnight toy release of Force Friday at Toys R Us. There was a fantastic group of represented charcters at the troop. The Dewback Ridge Garrison are some great folks, I'm lucky to be a part.

Not sure how the Gungan snuck in there...

dude, good job!!!! This looks great!
Looking good brother!
I appreciate it!

So, after seeing me work (what seems like forever) on my own Fett, my son wants to be Boba for Halloween. Not just any Boba, but the "Super Trooper", all-white version, of course. We are attempting to finish his costume in two days. I think all we have left are gloves and one more coat of white spray on the jetpack!

Admittedly, I'm a bit jealous that he can suit up in 5 minutes. By himself.

Awesome build, I'm using it as a guide for my own ESB. In all the pics of your troop's costumes, your Fett looks the coolest! Son's super trooper costume turned out great as well. My daughter was going to be a pink fett but as a 4 year old will do, changed her mind and is (at the moment) planning on being Darth Vader. I haven't heard if it will be pink or not. (sigh. I just do as I'm told!)

Hah! I can completely relate to this! My daughter has already laid claim to the Super Trooper Fett once she turns 7. She has also requested it to be painted pink.

One awesome Boba build!
Thanks for sharing your amazing build! Your costume turned out awesome!!! Very inspiring.
Thanks, guys!

this build is absolutely outstanding. if mine turns out half as good i'll be so glad.
There is no reason yours shouldn't turn out great! Just remember: you have this community to help with just about any issue you may ever run into while making your build AND almost anything can be repainted if you don't feel it to be good enough! Except the flight suit. Don't screw that up. ;)

Thanks for sharing this incredible build, your super talented and you ESB Fett fits you very well...(y)
Thank you! Sometimes I think it may fit a bit too well...seeing as my freedom of movement is limited to that of the Tin Man from Oz.
