Taking the first step ..

Hey guys,

firstly .. Hi ! im constantly in awe by what i see here, recently ive started to become active in the TDH community after years of lurking around but ...

I'm starting to come round to work on my first fett, im totally daunted but equally totally excited by the long road ahead, I've settled so far on ESB but maybe even SE, what i'd like to ask is, who are the UK TDH traders out there, I know alot of members are based in the USA but who sells what in the UK (and how is INT'l shipping)? whats good? whats not etc, i hope to manufacture some things myself electronics/smaller machined peices, and perhaps offer them to felow Fett'rs in the future.

the only UK based one I've found thus far is bobamaker, his quality seems great but im hoping to source around and know the UK scene better.

my secondary question is I have 0 experiance with painting (well not since I made airfix as a kid), but im willing to invest time (and some money) on learning things the right way, what is the concensus on how to begin, find a cheep hasbro to work on (or somthing like that) and then invest in a quality bucket when my work reflects the quality of the bucket ?

so many questions im sure i still have to ask haha !

but for now im saying

hello my name is Luke and i'm a Boba Fanatic! and I cant wait to get started !

Jendor AkA Luke ..

BFUK is also UK.

As far as getting a Hasbro helmet to practice on ...........I would just get a piece of scrap plastic to practice on if I just had to have a practice prop. I would get a helmet of quality and paint it. Absolute worst case scenario if you mess up.....sand it and start over.
