Really nice, so are those just the normal Mojo spikes, are they the most accurate option? And I see you added larger headed pins to secure them, I'm guessing the ones that come with them are to small, an the pull tabs are they accurate? I've not spent to much time studying the Pp2 boots (yet any way)
You have done a really good job on these, hope mine come out any were as nice as yours have,

No, MojoFett did a MOW-2013 boot spike run just after MOW came out with his new 2013 boots. i don't remember if he ever did another run.

are they the most accurate option?

IMO MOW's 2013 boots are the best available at this time. I do wish the black piping were made with a shinny material. As for the spikes, both MojoFett's and JodoKast89 have correct spikes for MOW's 2013 boots.

My very first set of spikes from MojoFett did come with small setting Pins, His MOW-2013 set did not. I'm not sure why he didn't add pins or studs to my order, so i had to make them. I think they look correct but I'll double check and i could always pull them and grind them down a bit.

the pull tabs are they accurate?

To the best of my knowledge, PP2 boots are the only boots to have the pull tabs. The material I'm using may not be spot on, I'm using a thick cotton strap. the material that maybe more accurate could be luggage or backpack straps. I can always correct my pull strap material easily when i find a suitable match.

OK Hope that helps Brother.

Found these PP2 gloves many years ago in the cargo hold, not sure who made them. When i first got them they were really shinny faux leather with the correct patches but they looked a bit odd being shinny leathery looking. I weathered them up a bit and now i need to know what yalls think please. i know their not 100% accurate but i kind of like the way they feel.

Check out the pics and give me your thoughts please (y) or (n)

Thanks Guys

I’m looking to have both versions, cloth and these faux leather gloves in my collection. I hope the 501st doesn’t beat me up too bad over them:)[/QUOTE

I've never seen any 501st PP suits man. Yeah the material isn't accurate, but really.. They're so detailed and on point that I wouldn't care haha

Syper, have you had any time to work on the independent servos for the rockets on your JP?

Hi Brandon,

Got the parts I needed but I’m still looking into better battery options. I’m planning to test out a few new RC batteries for greater ampacity.

I recently took delivery of a dual servo driver unit I picked up from ServoCity. My new plan is to determinate one dial, join both servos to it, mount this unit in the pack then install the a dial under the ammo pouch. Running the servos independent and getting the back to rest at a center point is the real trick here. My goal is to have both servos on one control and move in tandem with each other.

My PP2 is on a bit of a holding pattern ATM, waiting on my helmet and other upgrades in the works. I’ve been working on my Custom Mando build as of late and having fun with that.

BTW - smoke unit info: I get a nice amount of smoke for a short amount of time. Toying around with it, I have learned that the unit eats up a lot of battery power then it stops producing smokeL also important to keep in mind, using the proper amount of smoke fluid. Too much and it won’t burn, too little and it burns out fast and you won’t be able to add more easily. I’m also toying with the ideal of an auto drip system to supply the proper amount of smoke fluid.

I hope to have these issues worked out as soon as possible.

Nice sounds like it's going along well. Any idea as to the total weight of the pack? One thing to keep in mind is that as the JP grows in weight you will need to figure out a way to keep the JP in place on your back plate. With mine I have a fiberglass one, after 3 hours of trooping the weight of the JP causes my neck armor to start cutting into my neck, not the greatest of feelings. Anyhow, when you come by next Sat we can take a look at it. Looking forward to seeing your suit together! It's going to knock the socks off everyone in the GGG!

Really solid work on the jet pack,
Working on that smoke unit must be maddening,
Personally once I get to that point I'm just going for the upside down can of compressed air,
You've really done a tone of amazing work on this costume

Anymore updates Syper? I'm also doing a pre pro (not sure whether 1,2,3) and this thread has been great to follow.

Thanks Man, yeah Pre-Pro is cool but tough. let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

Thanks Prepro2, for the nice wordsJ This JP has taken on a life of its own and can be maddening at times, but I’m still having fun and working on Boba Fett so life is great.

Just a small JP update:

I was using a 12V – AA battery setup to power on all the jetpack effects but the smoke unit was eating up battery life very quickly(5 minute runtime). At first I thought there might be something wrong with the it but turns out the smoke unit is fine, it was just not getting enough sustained battery power. My bubby Ken picked up this battery and I’m going to start testing the JP effects again. Not really a setback but more of an upgrade, same voltage but longer capacity.

Ok so this is a Lithium Ion battery most commonly used for motorcycles, a bit bulky but very light weight, 1 pound and 6 oz. My biggest challenge will be installation placement.
