Your method looks good, but as Art mentioned in an older thread, the MQ-1 keypad with half of the circuit board was mounted into the original left gauntlets. So the left part (with the circuit and the other electronic components) goes behind the helmet's rear keyhole while the other half (with the connectors) goes under the calculator's keypad. It is the first time when I see the MQ-1 calculator in pieces and all the parts in one place. Thanks for posting detailed images of the found parts!

I put in some work on the Sling Gun my inspiration
    boba-fett-sling-gun-rotring-secomat-jpg

Added a Boba-Die-Wix upper with some found parts
    img_3161-jpgimg_3163-jpgimg_3168-jpg

On the right side there are two nobs or dials that look kind of pill shape. Here’s my best take on those parts and here’s what I used.
    img_3175-jpgimg_3178-jpgimg_3180-jpgimg_3182-jpg
Some years back I had laser eye surgery and they gave me these eye drops. Well I found them in the junk drawer and thought they looked very close. I’m in no way claiming my eye drop containers are correct, just that they look cool and come close to the shape and size.

Thanks for checking out the pics, take care peoples. starting back on the Gauntlets again

PP2 Gauntlets are done after many hours of sanding painting and waiting then sanding a painting again, a bit daunting but fun seeing it come together at the same time. Along the way I made my fair share of mistakes and had setbacks, all good. The goal was to build the most accurate PP2 gauntlets “I” could produce, hope everyone enjoys the pics. Wooo Hooo Check these off my to do list.

    img_3220-jpgimg_3235-jpgimg_3240-jpgimg_3241-jpgimg_3243-jpgimg_3244-jpgimg_3246-jpgimg_3247-jpgimg_3248-jpgimg_3252-jpgimg_3253-jpg

I understand that my aluminum interior is not correct, but the foam padding looked a bit weak and I thought I could get a little creative here and still not upset anyone. For the interior, I started by creating thin cardboard templates. On one of my many hunts through the hardware store aisles, I found these aluminum sheets with holes and I thought I could shape and use the aluminum sheets as a backing then add thin foam and cover them with gray or black leather. That was the plan but the aluminum by itself turned out the look better so I just added the aluminum tape trim. The interior is attached with Velcro, It fits good and covers all the voids well leaving plenty of space for the electronics.

    Adding inside right gauntlet pics

    img_3392-jpgimg_3393-jpgimg_3397-jpgimg_3399-jpgimg_3400-jpg

Once you grind down the mini light you can superglue the white half to the gauntlet then i added two small screws to hold the red battery pack half the rest of the gauntlet. the batteries can be changed if needed by removing the screws.

Going to start working on the Pre-Pro 2 Knees soon. Converting an ESB FP knee set to PP2, then adding DarkSide aluminum with an J.A. Michell found part.

    Wish me luck

Ok been putting in some time on my PP2 knees.

Started out with FP's ESB set.
    img_3427-jpg

I used a heat gun to push down the ESB dents a bit then added the PP2 dents. After applying heat to the right knee area i pushed in the large round indentation with a beer glass i keep in the freezer.
    img_3438-jpg

Added bondo, sand, prime, added red spot filler then sand again prime again over and over hehe.
    img_3440-jpgimg_3441-jpgimg_3446-jpg

hoping this is the last round off body filler so i can paint on the silver coat.
