SYPER's Pre Pro 2 Build PP2

Ok I did some work on the knees. the touch up work that RafalFett pointed out and I'm glad you did Brother, thanks again.

I'm so glad that you repainted the yellow scratches, it looks 1000% better!

Thanks guys:)

So i was hoping to convert this ROTJ Jetpack I picked up from METALLBOY some time back. METALLBOY did a great job with the build and paint but it did look a bit beat-up, but that in my opinion is what made it look so cool / battle worn. i was hoping color match some ROTJ scratches then apply PP2 damage, marks and weathering. OK here's how it came down.

I added some real found parts.

Here's my DARKSIDE aluminum parts:)

I cut out room for the milled aluminum parts

Here's where i realized i couldn't use this pack anymore:(

My cool *** DARKSIDE collar wasn't going to work with this jetpack D'oh! if i cut the rocket down a bit it just wouldn't look right.

OK looks like I'll need a MOW JP kit for my build after all. I'm going to save the above jetpack for a custom Mandalorian build. Back on the wall she goes.

Have been a PP2 since I was a kid and didn't even know it. I always wondered where the yellow/orange gauntlet came from!
Looking forward to more.

Just a quick update, my MOW-PP2 gauntlet set now feature all known found parts. It was a long shot but i found and have since then added a real Glenross dental expansion screw.
Here's a pic or two with the added Glenross expansion part.

Later guys:)

Thanks Mr. I'm kinda in a holding pattern ATM, i ordered my MOW jet pack:) cant wait for that to come in. i'm looking forward to cleaning it up but i was thinking about possibly commissioning out that paint work. That large a piece is a bit intimidating for me, we'll see I'm calling it a game time decision.

I may get crazy with a smoke or compressed air system.

Going with retractable fins albeit manual movement. Rocket is going to be a two piece unit, bottom half screw on and the top portion rare earth magnet attachment. I rounded off the fin tips to assist with movement. I taped a toothpick to the back of each fin to serve as a temporary spacer then i drilled the pivot points. once the holes were drilled i used small nails with cut off heads as setting pins. Also i added small cardboard washers in-between the fins and the rocket sidewalls to stiffen up the movement. Thrusters were trimmed and aluminum pieces fitted.

I like the idea of usable calc pad buttons. You could do a lot with that, it's starting some ideas right now lol.

SYPER's Pre-Pro 2 Build

Jp kicking my arrssss :) but I'm having fun. I'm planing to fully build it, test it, tear it down then send it off for paint. I have a ton of pics and plan on showing all TDH members how to add these effects for themselves. I'm going to install activation buttons in my ammo pouches. I'll have more on that later, here's some progress pics
