The super-duper Boba ammo pouch thread! VINYL TOO!!!

I've been watching your progress from your paper mock-up to the finished pieces, but I don't think I've posted yet. This is a big undertaking that you pulled off with amazing results.

Creating your own stuff is sometimes overwhelming, rewarding, but sometimes is frustrating...like me that I've been trying to get my Jumpsuit material, and it seems that I can't ind it anywhwhere.

As for the leather belt goes...I said it before...AMAZING and IMPRESSIVE! Awesome work, and now I'm jealous cause I'm using vinyl for my pouches (not entirely accurate), nailed with tacks in the back (the ammo pouches are shaped by little wood boxes inside to shape it) to a normal $5 leather belt from the Dollar store. Good Job indeed! (y)

That's great news about the leather stitching being mastered! Strange that the vinyl is giving trouble now since it is softer.Glad to hear we'll be able to have the choice of belts ;)

Here's an idea of what a ROTJ belt would look.

And here's how they begin life.

Here's a little fun. My latest belt on top, my very, very, very first vinyl belt from YEARS ago!

WOW man, you are really going fast. I guess you solved the power cord problem allready.:) I cant wait to see belt #4 ;)

Once you get to it let me know about that other little thing:)
By the way, great looking ESB belt. I like the fact that the pouches on belt #2 look darker than the first one.

Hmmm, decided to put on the entire thing. Couldn't get the jet pack on all by myself though.
Special thanks to Jorneymanprotector for letting me use his belt. ;)

I am now taking payments on these belts. Realistically, only for the leather ones. I'm still trying to iron out the bugs on the vinyl ones.
Leather belt with fake stitching, $125. ESB or ROTJ.

Leather belt with real stitching, $150. ESB or ROTJ. Once I get the vinyl ones ironed out, they too will be $150.

Just PM me. Include waist size, movie version, and what type of belt you'd like. There are at least 3-4 different belts, Pre-pro, ESB, AOSW, and MOM.
Again, none of these pouches function.

Looks very nice, I can't wait to secure a jumpsuit to put it on ;)

I'm very much looking forward to seeing it in person :)

Thanks much man,

Absolutely AWESOME! I love that real stitching on the leather.I think I'm being swayed back to the leather.BTW,the new pouches of belt#2 look darker, and much more like the ESB belt IMHO.That is unless it's a coincidence, and just a trick of the flash on the camera.

Great lookin' work.

I'm a very excited boy! :) hehehe

One question though . . . Do the snaps really go on the outside of the ESB belt pouches like that? To me it always looking like they were on the inside, and just kind of the "shape" of them showed through to the outside.

Now get back to work on the vinyl! :) hehe

The belts look amazing SC! How thick is the leather that the actual belt part is made from? I ordered the Tandy Leather stuff, I think MaxPlague used, and I still haven't been able to sew the thread through it. It's so freakin thick! How do you sew through that stuff?

Don't try to confuse me with the snaps now!
As for sewing through the leather, it's a little tough. The machine barely wants to do it. Sometimes I have to turn it by hand when it gets stuck.
I've got a new idea on the vinyl, I'll be trying a new idea today. Hopefully it works!

By the way, I like the last 8 pouches to the right. They have more of a ROTJ color to them. Are they a lighter in color than the first 7 or is it a camera thing.

Last edited by a moderator:
Actually, those 8 pouches are for a ROTJ belt. They're not for my costume though...they're going to be shipped to PR. ;)
