STUNT ROTJ Fett rifles, finally! Big pics.

Not a dumb question at all!!

The 'life' of the foam is comparable to any urethane product out there. The inner foam, which you may think would be the major worry, is the same "species" as the outer, tougher rubber.

They will dry out/ crack/peel/age at the same rate as any basic rubber product.

The only real worry, is that even though it's sealed, the paint may one day start to rub off, crack, or flake. This will all hinge on use, enviroment, abuse, etc.

In other words . . . these should last as long as an unchewed doggie toy:D

Just wondering what "out of paint, shipping" means. Does that mean it's coming unpainted? I didn't understand.

It means exacctly that . . .she's out of the paint stage, and getting wrapped up in a box.

I thought you meant that you were gonna ship it out unpainted.

No info on my side. Comes up as something like "unable to track.'
This usually means that it's out of USPS hands, and into Royal Mail's.
Use you customs tracking number at Royal Mail's website, if scanned properly, it should pop up. Knowing UK customs . . .it's probably in a big pile.

Last group of shipping labels has been printed. As of Monday, this sucker's offically caught up!

I have no real intention of completly shutting down production of thi cool item, just no more big runs after the ESB. I need a big break . . .I've got a Fine Molds Flacon and Slave I that I'm dying to finish.

Well, I ordered mine as a Birthday gift to myself, and I ordered it at the beginning of the month in hopes it would get here in time for my birthday. And, if it ships Monday, it will make it in time, because my B-day is the 31st, and hotshot just lives a couple hours away. :) (Yeah, my first name is "Jason" [like from the monster movies] my lastt name is "Bundy" [as in Ted, or Al] and I was born on Halloween, I get all the brakes. :) )

Hotshot, got your reply, and thanks for the info. I'm just waiting for personal things to get straight first, that way we could go forward with it when the time is right, and I perfectly understand what you're going through (in my case, "so much to do; so little time"......literally :( ).

So, has my rifle shipped? I'm not on your updated list anymore and that info doesn't indicate it has gone anywhere.

We all have the same problem. It usually means that they didn't ship. If they did then they would be in our hands by now. I was promised mine 6 weeks ago and keep getting jibberish and complaints. I had a troop this last weekend that I needed it for and as for typical Hotshot...NOTHING! Believe me don't hold your breath.

Hey I figured that I would chime in here and say that yes Hotshot has been delayed lately but trust me, there is alot goin on. It is not my place to go into detail but I have talked to him recently and he has not forgotten you guys. I am sorry that you all have to wait longer than expected but life happens.

Oh and as a side note for the shipping label thing. I have recieved that message a number of times and still got the item when it said that. For some reason or another I guess they don't update it or something. It is always with the USPS this happens to me. So even though there is no info about the status that dosen't mean it was not shipped. (Don't get me started on USPS)

Keeping my fingers crossed that you get them soon in the mail.

Okay, if its coming from Irish I will back off and wait. I think we all know that if you give us information then we can be the most understanding and forgiving bunch. The hardest part is attending stuff in "half-costume" because we waited and were promised stuff that never happened. Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy no matter what the scenario especially when dealing with others plans or worse pocketbooks. When someone accepts funds and promises something in vague statements and inuendos it gets very frustrating. Either follow through, refund money or at least be VERY forthcoming with details and NO LIES!. With your support Irish I will back off and wait patiently for an item that may or not be coming (hard to tell from past lies). You have always been fair, even handed and a voice of reason. So for that I digress.8)

I received mine from USPS even though when I first checked I had the same message. Only took a couple of days. Hotshot came through for me and many others. It is unfortunate that he was unable to meet a few peoples time frames, but he is putting out a great blaster at a great price. Definitely worth waiting for.

Yea, it sucks that so many were left behind on this . .. and I am disappointed in myself. It's been rough . . .

But really, ask yourself . . .how many prop makers out there have ever done a 'recall'?

But this run could have been alot worse. ALOT.

I could have uped the prices on any new blaster purchases, or on the ESB, or started charging shipping and handling.


Or, I could have just walked away, taking everyone for their money . . .instead of logging in four or five times a day to stay in touch and update as much as possible.

But, with the last of the 'back-ordered' 4 going out tommorow morning, I can finally breath easy and know that I did my best, and came out on top. And I can finally get to the ESB's,which are gonna blow these outta the water.

So, if I haven't said it enough, THANK YOU to everyone who particapated. The support has been invaluable, and truely the only reason this got finished.

Finally! My blaster has made it to my house, even with the ever more useless postal service not doing their job. I will let you know my comments when I get home to it after the 1st.

Believe me, I've been very patient and was glad I was later on the list based on your feedback, Irish. I got a bit concerned because of the first shipping hiccup, when he had us marked as shipped for a while with nothing moving. I had a previous problem with the postal service with a package from a member in Germany and was trying to get some info as a follow up before I went and stuck a finger in someones eye at the USPS office on Fort Lewis. There are times where my wife and I have had to go make them look for packages (and they have "found them" while we were there). Just getting my info together before I go pick a fight.

Hotshot, no issues with you, brother. The feedback looks good from the others and I will be having a mini-Christmas with everything waiting for my return. Thanks for your hard work, it's appreciated.

Um, I hate to ask, but has anything been shipped this week? I know there were posts saying Monday, then it would be yesterday, but there hasn't been any updates to the list. (sorry, I'm just getting really excited to get mine. :) )

Hey Hotshot...got the blaster today. The detail is amazing when you consider what it's made of. I do need to re-glue the scope mount. The rear mount came loose a little. I assume just about any craft glue would work? I have some E6000. Think that'll work ok? I'm so glad it got here in time. Great job! The only thing that I might do differently, and I am by no means any sort of expert...I would use a little more shade of brown in the color. That may just be a personal preference though. Overall I'm pleased. I hope you continue to make items in the future for the community, eventhough right about now you're probably tired.

I went with a warmer grey on the first six . . .and it was well received, bu when I got the oppurtunity to improve the new ones, I took another look at my references, and it seems the blaster is a coll grey (Warm has more red/brown, cool more blue)

To reattach that scope, just dab a little super glue onto it, and press down for a few seconds. It'll hol just fine. Sometimes tempature changes can make superglue brittle, probably what made it 'snap.' The abilty to break away DOES come in handy on these.

I'll be offering more down the road for Fett (maybe), and will be building up to a run of E-11's, bu that for another day.

I've only got the last three to go out later next week, and then its single orders on these from there.

As promised, I returned from my trip and am posting feedback. It was well worth the wait for this baby! The reinforcement obviously worked as the only real wobble was in the scope, and it was hardly noticeable. The weight, well good grief! I didn't expect it to be this light. Throw in a great paint job and you have a great product. Well done and thanks for all the hard work!

I gave you the USPS customs form number, that will be used for tracking AND insurance, if nesecary. I've had the experience of being able to use it through Royal Mail, as well as Germany's post. It may have changed . . .but I'm definatly keeping my fingers crossed.

If i remember correctly you have given these guns an inner structural piece of plastic or metal correct? Even still, what would be the best way to store it when not in use?

I got mine (5 weeks later than promised and a week after my troop) Even though I am not happy with the process I am VERY happy with the product. Just wanted to give you some more praise. The blaster held up great on Halloween, even through tons of drunken abuse. It looked great in the pics as well. Several of the female on-lookers loved playing with it as well, but we won't go there since this a family friendly forum.

Well the ESB run went down the drain so I'm assuming he's all done in general...

THe ROTJ mold is fine. I can do one of these any time. The ESB is cancelled/postponed since I'd have to start from scratch.
