I can tell you, as these ship overseas, each rifle will have a warning label, letting the customs agent know its a fake, non-firing foam rubber rifle. They will also be insured, (as if that matters :rolleyes) so we may be able to get another rifle out if all doesn't go well.
I should also note, that every single Scout blaster made it through customs, and only one didn't get to its owner . . .in Cali. I was stupid enough to not get a tracking number on it. I assumed if I could get one into Italy and Great Britian, I could certainly get one across Rt. 80!
Well im still in.. im getting most of my bills out of the way atm, and I should be good to go very very soon :)

I'm going to ship the first two pre-ordered blasters out(boht customers are past customers who know the type of blaster they're getting), and they can post pics/reveiw, and if all's positive, the rest will follow.

Hey guys, my satillite internet antenna's bieng replaced today or tommorow, if they show up. I'm at their mercy at this point.

I know. I'm so excited to be able to move forward on this.
I was up all night, till about 3am, casting guns, painting, packing, yadda,yadda, all while watching 'Jedi' on my new 32" flat screen. Movie never looked soo good!!!
Look for those first four tracking numbers tonight (girlfreinds dropping them at teh post office as I'm at work from 8-6 today) and I'll continue to cast and paint through the weekend. Should wrap these up by Tuesday or Wed, just a few days beihnd schedule on most orders. THen it's onto the ESB!!

I have to apologize just one more time for the delays, as my mother and sisters showed up last week, and I had to play a frantic host over the weekend. BUT I did get to have the entire day to myself yesterday, and have gotten six done and in the boxes for shipping tommorow. I'll be doing 7 and 8 tonight, hopefully to get them out too, which would actually catch me back up, and put everything right where it should be.
The first post is updated to reflect casting andshipping by PURCHASE DATE, and not by signup number. Sorry for the mixup.

I was able to get the day off tommorow, and will be off Sunday and Monday too, and will be able to get completely caught up on these orders. Look for the current 'cast' list to be shipped Monday or Tuesday, and expect your tracking info on Monday. If these go out on time MOnday/Tuesday, then expect teh ESB Blaster interest thread to go up. It will be a preorder type sale, with only half being payed first. I think that'll work better. I'm also working on the numbers so that we can do something for Fett Pride with the sales of the ESB. We'll see . . .

Nope the ESB is not up yet, but will be up next week, on probably Wed.
I'll be doing that one a bit differently(preorder style), but the price will remain the same.
I was just wondering??... has this ever been attempted before (rubber/foam ROTJ blaster)? imagine when we are sporting these at an event. We look around and we see people struggling to hold their MR and other ultra pricey blasters. We could be the luckiest 20 or so people in the world:cheers
Well I have never trooped with a resin or MR weapon so I don't know. But I do feel lucky I got in on this run.
Well, we know hyperfrim's been done, but that's way different than what I'm doing here. These are basically nerf, with a outer skin to look decent in phots and stuff.
So, yea, I guess it's never been done!

Well, I am currently trooping with an MR (today as a matter of fact), and the 10 lbs. gets a bit heavy after 3-4 hours. Hotshots' rifle will be a very welcome change.

Hey Everyone I got a Blaster in the mail!!!!!!! well as promised here is my initial review....
Well, the good and the bad.
First I will say that I have been in contact with hotshot and we discussed my thoughts of the blaster that I posted below. I will say that my copy was rough and had some physical issues I had problems with. I took pics and we discussed the results.
It was flimsy (more so then should be) and some of the rubber was not in the best of condition. There was a problem with the scope and trigger guard. The scop is flimsy and when holding, it sags down and the trigger guard is super thin. With that said we discussed the ideas to better it. I don't want to speak for Hotshot but he had GREAT resolves for these problems!!! The main issue with the rubber being not of the best condition was based to the pulling. I would say to focus on the T tracks. With experience comes perfection and I am sure that many other blasters will come out 100%. Also the scope was falling off when I recieved it. This was probably the glue coming off but it's an easy fix. Well, to sum up the bad, or not the best, the blaster still needed some work so it has to go back but he is really easy to work with and was no problem.
Now for the GOOD!!!!! I will keep this short as the only way to fully enjoy the datails is in person. Tha painting and weathering is 150%:cheering!!!!! AMAZING job with weathering:thumbup, I would easly put it up against an MR blaster as far as that aspect. The greeblies on the stock look as accurate as can be. I almost forgot that they were rubber! The blaster does truely look like rusted beat up old dirty gun metal. The amount of time and effort Hotshot put into weathering the blaster are amazing enough. Now I am not going to lie...its super light...I mean you could almost forget your carring a blaster with you.
So to sum it up...the blaster I recieved still needs some finishing work but is an amazing start of a AMAZING run! I am intrested to hear how the others came out. Even though I wasen't 100% satisified with the blaster...I know I will be. Hotshot was easy to talk to and we resolved the problems right away and will be recieveing another blaster shortly. Still, I feel that this blaster is top of the line. Mine needs work but it could just be mine too. When I talked to him he does put alot of care into this. Overall I would say I give my blaster a 75% rating and a 110% on the weathering thats not to say that another blaster won't be perfect. Feedback like that is what makes this hobby worth every drop of silicone on nice clothes, sticky fingers from foam, and hands covered in black, grey and rust colored paint completely worth it.
After reveiwing his blaster, I realized I never should have sent it out. I encourage any of the first six shipped, if you have any issue, don't hesitate to holler. We'll get you taken care of fast.
Irishfett was very, very instrumental in taking these blasters from 'good' to 'great'. We had a great conversation!
I'm looking forward to sending out the next batch for reveiw, and definatly won't be pacing the floor for the responses on those.
I'm even happier to be able to updaet the ESB ones with the new ideas too!!

Yep! The updates will include the following:
Light rodding added to scope
Slim plastic added to inside of trigger guard (will still have movement, but not as much)
Less 'wiggle' in rifle
It's not going to be a problem to redo therifles that have gone out, and the rifles set to go out will be doing so 'on schedule.'

What about the mount between the grip and the stock? It is fairly thin. Does it have enough/any reinforcement or is it likely to need any?
Nope not yet. When I put in my tracking number it says accepted on the 24th in OH but nothing more. Hopefully today.

The problem has come from where the barrel meets the main body and grip area. But that porblem has been solved. In the stock bracket, there's some brass stock going straight through each one.Quote:

Ok got mine in today. I am with Irishfett the painting is amazing. My scope seemed to be ok no droopage but could see wanting to put a stabilizer in it. My biggest problem is it is a little wobbly at the handle. Looks like you addressed that already. If I put my gun on my hip it sags to the right. I also agree the trigger guard is very flimsy. Overall its nice. It is very light. I would like to get the wobbly issued fixed though.
I visited Hotshop this weekend, and got a first hand look at the lengths hes going through to create these rifles. He is a very talented guy, and more importantly very friendly, honest and straightforward.
He couldnt say enough good things about how appreciative he is when people give him good solid criticism of the product.
Because this is a 'new' item for him, hes being very patient and careful. it would be very easy for him to for lack of a better term 'cave in' to the pressure of doing the same thing everyone else is doing, but he is really interested in a foam, unbreakable, but believable prop.
I think if we all have patience, this will really pay out.

Here's the new model with less bend, but enough for trooping mishaps, like smacks in to the wall, and giant con nerds who don't look where there going (saw that at Marcon!).

The scope has had simple plastic stock added to it, to make it much more rigid, yet supple enough to take a hit. Note how a freshh cast one looks much straighter than an older one.

Lastly, a small piece of plastic stock has been added to the trigger gaurd, also allowing bend, but not as blatantly flimsy as the old ones were.
So there ya go! Got 8 going into paint, and am trying to cast up two more tonight!

Wetokle, yours should be to you in a day or two, take a look at it, and if it's what you think you'll be getting from what we talked about, send 'er right back.
Once they're here, the replacement will go out (unless we've spoken about another arrangement).
I'm on track to get ten-thirteen updated blasters out the door on the Saturday-Monday dates I had mentioned. If I can get more out this week, I will do so (that is actually a small 'if', I should get up to 15 done).
After those twenty are out, I'm taking a week of to prep some Ghostbuster props, and then we'll pick back up with the ESB, and if anyone still wants a ROTJ, those will be available anytime.

Yep, slaving away on twelve rifles, getting them done as fast as possible!! More foam on the way, and we should have this all wrapped up by the end of the week (god I hope so . .I'm sooo tired).
