Okay, the ROTJ Fett rifles are moving along, and that means that it's time to start working on the ESB.

This one may actaully be a bit cheaper, since the barrel won't be as long as the ROTJ.(bout 200 less grams of silicone!)

Here's what I'm thinking on this, so by all means, add your two cents!!

-Stock, main body, and scope cast together. I like the thicker scope rings on this alot, and it makes casting the scope on the barrel much simpler.

-Seperate resin OR rubber (LMK what you may want on this one, I can't decide) Molex connectors and V8 parts

-PVC MPP tube. While rubber would be great, any type of chrome paint, from rattle can to Alclad, will look better on plastic than the rubber. If dropped and chipped, PVC can easily be replaced. Lowes carries a great, thin walled PVC that I use on Ghostbuster guns, to simulate the same type of metal tubing, just smaller.

-Adding to the inner supports for a sling?

I'm lookin' for a late July start date (seling wise).

Any other ideas??? Post away!!

I f you can do the Molex connectors and V8 parts all in rubber it would be great. I agree too on a version w/o the barrel so we can put our flashtube in it. Support for the sling: yes.

Wow, I´ve been waiting for this thread a long time... ;) and it´s great that it has started now !

I´d prefer the following:
- w/o the barrel in order to mount my own flash tube
- rubber Molex and V8-parts
- support for the sling: YES

Thanks for starting this project, I´m definitly in this run and hope that you´ll ship overseas to GERMANY ?!?:confused

Great feedback. Thanks guys.

I am having great difficulty finding consistant plans etc. for this blaster. I want it to be as good as the ROTJ in detail, and am worried about getting the scope detailing wrong. DO we have any clearer reference photos? he search engine isn't bringin up anything usefull.
Thanks!

I'll sell these when those are done. I kinda screwed the pooch on that thread, cause everything's going haywire!!!:p:confused:wacko

Yes!!
The master is just about finished, and all supplies are bought for the run, but I've put it on hold until the ROTJ stuff gets caught up. NO sense in making a whole other group of Fetts wait!!

No pics yet, but the good news is I was able to get a day off tommorow, and witha light Saturday, and the Sunday and Monday off, I should be able to get completely caught up on ROTJ. If that happens, expect to see a preorder thread go up on Wed.

Here's the lowdown on what to expect in this replica;

The main body will be similar in casting to the ROTJ, with molded scope rings/lower mounts, and will also have the stock greeblies molded onto the stock. The ROTJ scope master will pull double duty, and just be switched around for the ESB. It will include an orange and black reticle decal. While i used the remnants of teh ROTJ master, this will be MUCH smoother and sharper, as the ROTJ rifle prop was a cast of a cast, and was pretty clunky looking.

The Webley barrel will end with a stub on it for a thin walled PVC tube that will be drilled and etched to match an MPP flash. It will be chromed (Alclad or Dupicolor) and given a nice looking skortched paintjob. It will be easily removed for a cut down metal tube of your own to be put on. The gun will come with e PVC regardless, as I've bought enough tube for a 20+ run.

The price will be higher than the ROTJ, as this requires smoother lines, more paint work, and extra work on the flash barrel.

I'd also like to kick the price up more, as to donate the extra to Fett Pride and his gal. But more on that if I can get all the numbers to add up.

Thanks! Can't wait to do this!!
