Truthfully, I think the girlfriend has it . . .>: she tok it without permission!!
Either way, we're on the stright track to get these out on time. 10-15 buisenss days begins TODAY for delivery dates. Earliest date on the list goes out first, and so on.
I want to make sure I'm updated as Full Paid. Sent the remaining balance on 11/14.
Yes, you are updated. Weird thing is, everytime I edit . .some parts change, others don't! Odd . . .
Ouch...TUESDAY (my bday) came and went.. no pics :(
2nd half of payment sent. Can't wait to see these!
Pm sent about my payment info.
Pics coming after lunch today . . .been busy. Also, couldn't get camera back till Wed.
Sorry bout that!
Here we go! Sorry for the silly delay!
Here's the most of the finished detail peices. Most of the Scopes are on on the other side of the room in paint, getting their nice new coats of semi gloss black.
The "MPP's" have a solid under coat of chrome, with a nice light overcoat of burn in the barrel. A bit of wet salt gave us the chips and scrathes to keep some shine.
The Molex and V-8 rods are solid resin, and are very, very sharp in detail. You'll be able to read teh numbers on the front of the Molex! The rear is solid.
The rubber didn't work as well as I would have liked, but these resin ones will do the job nicely.
I'm very happy with this so far, and am looking forward to starting the rifles this weekend!!! Enjoy!
Looking good, looking very good. :thumbsup
Nice looking pieces! Can't wait to see more!
Glad you like!!!
Right on...high fives all around...I can't wait!
woowie man... Give us more! Can't wait much longer for this! Drives me nuts!
Final payment for Stunt Blaster ESB EE-3 through Paypal sent.
any new updates hotshot? I'm anxious to see how these are turning out!
I'm heading back into the studio tonight! My girlfreind' gonna be outta town alllll week, so I'm planning on nothin' but pizza and props for the whole week!
In truth, all of the grebblies and stuff are sone, with only the gun;s needing to be cast up and painted. To say I'm excited, is a gross understatement!!
I should have at least one done by the end of the week! Right on schedule!
Rad A Mundo!!!:cheers:thumbsup:fettesb
Sounds great. I would definitely love to get mine as a Christmas present. :D
I hate to ask, but do you think you'll do another run sometime in 2009? I'm new to the Fett game and didn't get here in time to sign up for this run.
After these 15 are done, I'll do ten more . . .then take orders whenever on both this and the ROTJ.
Finally was able to get the sling swivel posts of of backorder (they'll be here MOnday), and can't wait to apply the blueprint to the actual product!
Hotshot, what are these parts called? And would you be willing to sell me just these particular parts so I can put them on the EE-3 that I'm working on? I would need the square things for the scope and the thumb switch.
wow, there are a bunch of great blaster projects going on!
hotshot, would you be willing to do a resin "accessory" kit to complete the ESB EE-3 kits from Budget fett? I think it would consist of the molex plugs, V-8 Rods, scope, and scope mounts. and I'm pretty sure people would be interested in your MPP PVC flash tubes too (they look awesome!!!!) You came to mind instantly since you already have the molds for these!
Pull's have started!! Lookin' good so far! More after the weekend!!
awesome thanks for the update. by any chance you have any pictures?
First two pulls a huge success! Painted and finished pics on Tuesday!! I'm very, very pleased!!!
Also, you last four on thelist, let's get those payments sent in!!! I'll PM you!
Aw....such a tease. Praises about a huge success and no pics! I am hunched over as the saddest Fett ever. lol
Keep up the great work. Can't wait!!
Tuesday came and Tuesday went......no updates.....bummer. :(
Work's kickin' my bumm. I'm only halfway through the first paint, and I'm writing everything down so the process can be repeated 14 more times.
Sorry for the delay . . .40 hours in a Radio Shack can really hurt a guys prop time.:(
Time to kick in with my nagging once more.
Pictures? PICTURES? WE WANT PICTURES! :D
Please let me know when you are going to do another run of these, because I would love to pick one up. I'll send you the down payment anytime you want in order to secure a spot for the next run.
Updates? Pictures? something?
anything?! Merry Christmas :D
I'll be posting pics after the holidays wrap up. I haven't even stepped foot in the studio since th 22nd. . . .>:
Hi Hotshot, I'd appreciate it if you could add me to your "post-run" list. for an ESB.
I can PPal anytime you need me to.
Happy New Year,
I'd also like to get added to the post run list for an ESB if possible. Thanks!
THanks guys, I apprciate the support. I finally got some great studeio time last night, and am going to have pics up tommorow. I'm as excited as you all are!
I should note, that two of the current list backed out, and I'll have two spots open right away, but let me do a wee bit more of catchup, and they'll we'll all talk about it!
We're almost there ESBs!!!:):cheering
I'm interested in an ESB blaster! If you have a pic. that would be great
Pics would be awesome
I am interested as well for one of those 2 spots. PM sent.
So much for the pics yesterday
Where are the pics?! :O
Please add me to a future ESB run or let me know if a spot opens up!
Yea..going on fourth day past the day we were promised pics...everything OK?
Hotshot, what´s going on ? Please let us know some news about this run...
see below . . .
GUys, I have incredibly bad news . . . . Upon pulling the 4th rifle, the mold has ripped, and is irrepairable. I'm waiving the white flag on this one . . . I have no time or money to redo this from scratch. I'm going to half to cancel the run completely. While I WAS pleased with the first three pulls, I do not beleive they are shippable. The fourth and fifth are not presentable as well. I had hope while I continued to cast and learn the mold, the results would be what I wanted. I don't want to cancel, and I realize what a disappointment this is to all involved, but I have done everything in my power to get this done right, and I wish I could continue to do salvage work on this, but conitued excuses and delays are unacceptable on this forum, as well as others. This most definatly sucks, and I will begin issuing refunds as soon as possible, going in order of first to last. To help conter the loss, I'll be offering Grebblies for the budget kits curently avaiable. My sincerest appologies to the 15 of you who waited patiently. I'm going to go curl into a corner now . . .
I hope that you refund in the order that they were paid for. Not the order people are on the list.
for me honestly this is fine. Sucks we waited so long but what can you do? I'm sorry the mold ripped. I was first on the list and first to pay but meh now that money can go towards other fett stuff. I have a budgetfett kit and can finish that. Hotshot didn't you already pull all the greeblies?
THe grebblies are pulled, but some of them are "stunt" so they'll be going in the trash.
I will be doing a run of ESB and ROTJ greeblies to off set costs and get folk there money quicker. MOre on that later.
So when are you going to start refunding people?
In a few days. It's going to be slow and agonozing . . .
I think what people need to realize is he probably had over $500 in supplies/product to make them with, that is now gone/unusable. I know that I got hit for about $500 the same way when the knee mold went out, so I understand where hes coming from.
I saw how the last webley master he made came out of the mold. It totally destroyed it, so im assuming that its not so simple as to 'make another mold'.
Hotshot, you can use my real webley if you want to come to michigan. I cant obviously ship it over state lines, and it cost me almost 2k to buy it, but id be willing to let you copy it to get these people their guns. We can put it back together, fill the cracks with vaseline, fill the barrell with clay and make a solid copy of it.
That's an amazing offer, and I'm always proud to be able to work with other members to fill the order, but time is also a huge part of this. I have no free weekends until the last weekend of Jan, and that one's spent on another, large project I'm under contract on. This just plain sucks. I'm happy to refund everyone in due time, and maybe try again later.
I am Definatly interested in two greeblies sets and barrels.
I need a set of all the small parts you have made to complete my budget fett ESB kit(stock Greeblies, molex, V-8 rod, scope rings and pvc flash tube.
****...this fully sucks! Who else makes these??? I've been shooting for the end of February to have my full costume done and now w/o the gun I'm screwed. If anyone is willing to PM me with info or a sale of an EE-3 then I will apply my credit from this run immediately to you!!!
BTW, I will need a flash tube with my refund...thanks...
I dont want to step on hotshots toes, but my plan is to make a 'multi material' version of the gun, that will withstand a drop from a building.
I have done the foam/rubber thing, and its more than time consuming. I doubt many would appreciate what goes in to it:)
If anyone wants to pm me ill give them more details, but with the budget fett gun, and these, ive sort of taken my webley apart and let it sit until those projects are complete. It wont be a budget gun though. It looks to be around 100-150, but shouldnt require much/any cleanup at all.
Sounds good and I might be interested...
Hotshot, what are the details on the refunds? I know this was a time consuming project but I think we all could use our money back as soon as possible to put into purchasing a new blaster from someone else...thanks!
I gotta agree with echo here.. i have had my money tied up in this since August and it is money I definately need back if there is not going to be a run...its not the best of times as everyone knows.
You'll all have to be patient as I move some things around to fund 2200 dollars of refunds.
Disappointed this run didn't work out; your ROTJ rifles looked great.
Please do send my refund for the full amount. Thanks.
You know what I just realized while posting in the ROTJ stunt thread, which lurched me outta bed at 1:24 in the chilly AM?
I made the following statement: "The ROTJ mold is just fine"
Think about that . . . . . .
You there yet?
I'll wait . . . .
Okay got it?
While the ESB master didn't make it, I did keep parts of it . . .like the barrel. If I've already got a decent cast made of the rest of the original scratchbuilt Webley I used for both these . . .witha bit of "retooling" . . . and molds of all the other ESB detail parts . . . and a gallon or two of silicone on the way for another project . . .
Maybe we can get this back on track!!!!!
Give me till Tuesday . . .let me see what I can pull off. I'll make a final decision then!
Keep your gaunlets crossed!!
I'm cool with product or refund, whichever comes first! Worst case scenario for me is I end up having two of these blasters...one stunt and one hero. I still may need an extra flash tube to replace the one that is on the hero version I just bought. Keep us posted, thanks!
I'm good either way. I really would like an ESB EE-3 soon though.
Update on salvage:
Got a pull last night from ROTJ mold in resin(stock, bracket, min body of gun), and was able to sand/sculpt/refit it (ROTJ greeblies gone, put new barrel on) and get a huge head start on a new master. I'm looking at a Monday night delivery from UPS of 2 new gallons of silicone and some new foam rubber for the first couple of test pulls.
I am happy that I'm at least getting another shot at the blaster, but am so dog tired of **** like this . . .as I'm sure you are. My last two runs went perfect (Davy Jones' Pipe on the RPF, foam blasters on BikerScout.net). I guess we've all been cursed!! OooOOOooooOO!
Stay with me, and we'll get everyone covered, wether by refund, or with product.
Thanks for the support . . .
Thanks for the update Hotshot! Fingers crossed.
WOOOOOO!!!!!!!! fingers crossed for a good mold! Like I tell anyone I buy stuff from. My suit isn't finished so I'm not in a hurry yet.
Liar . .we're all in a hurry to put the suit on!
Thanks for not giving up bro...Keep us posted and good luck!
Hey Hotshot! Is it possible that I can get just the grips and stock greeblies?
Okay, I was able to get the scope and rings all fixed back up, and am working on the rifle. I'm confident, but not gonna make any promises. More updates tonight.
IF I'm able to get a decent new "master" to work with, I'll be able to work throughout the weekend to get a new mold made. I'll be alone in the house this weekend, so I'll have a decent amount of time to work.
Wish me luck!
Goodluck! Thanks for the updates!
Yeah, good luck!
Sounds good...though i will have to bow out and get my refund back...sorry it didnt work out.
Okay, the scope and rings are all back together, and the barrel is done. I just have to retouch the stock, bracket, and grip. New stcok greeble molds have been made as well.
All my new silicone has arrived, and is warmed up to room temp. and I'm gonna do my very best to get this thing molded back up.
If anyone on the current run would like a refund, please let me know via PM. If anyone would like to purchase a blaster to take their place, I'm more than happy to offer the spot, once i'm sure these will work.
I'll be adjusting the list in the first post to relfect who's ask for refunds, so be sure to check there often for updates as well.
I'm with escho34. I'd rather have my blaster. But do want this to turn out like was first promised.
Hotshot, I've been keeping a close eye on this thread and was very excited to see you may have a solution for getting this project done.
I'm glad you're giving updates and keeping us informed. Just keep doing that and we'll all understand if it doesn't work out.
But I still want my gun! Lol!
And I know what you're thinking about this new mold right now - "What if it doesn't survive?"
And i say - "It's worth a lot to me!"
So hang in there, and hopefully this will all work out. And hopefully you'll be able to get those refunds to us quickly if it doesn't. Thanks, man!
Well, I'm just about there on a new master. I'll be posting pics of it, since some changes have been made on how she'll be put together, etc.
Be sure to decide if you'd like a refund between now and the 21st, cause after that point, I'll be casting, and you'll be stuck with the 'receiving a blaster' option.
I'll post more as I finish up the master. Now, if I could just get the basement up above 50 degrees!!!
Hope everyone's warm out there!!
BTW, It's in the 70's here in sunny FL :lol
I don't know how you guys do it!?! I lived in CT for 26 years...Never again! The winter sucks unless you're snowboarding...
Will there be an update with photos prior to this 21st cut-off date? Certainly I want the weapon over a refund but I hate the idea of "sight-unseen."
Here's keeping my fingers crossed for the stars to align, a great mold created, and a beautiful end product.
Keep rollin' along Hotshot!
I'm moving so fast on this and other projects that photos aren't going to happen until it's done.
It's all from the same master anyway. I can tell you the scope and stock greeblies are in silicone and will be curing today/tommorow.
The rest of the rifle is getting it's last touches of bondo (I cast the ROTJ in a thin coat of resin, with expandable prototypeing foam under) and then will be primered and clayed up. I 'll be casting it tommorow and into Friday night (I'm going to the dentist with a bad tooth, o Friday night is for 'curing').
As it is right now, the list on the first post has been updated for who's getting a rifle, and who's getting a refund.
The refunds will start going out ASAP. Anyone getting a refund is more than welcome to reorder at anytime. I ain't holdin' any grudges.
Ok, so no pics until the're done. Seriously, at least let us know how you think they're going to turn out. I have confidence in you and I know how good your ROTJ run turned out. So, just give those of us who have hung in there with you some positivity on the final piece and we'll love you the more for it. And if there are going to be a few problems with them, let us know that to, just so we can expect it.
And we won't hold no grudges either! :D
Nice! That post made my day! Thanks dude!!
do you sell any greeblies separated?
