Yes, I've bought everything from my ESB Fett rifle to my Jet Pack to my jumpsuit, etc... The guy who runs SF, named Anton is quite helpful. You can e-mail him directly at starfortressproductions@yahoo.com. Tell him TK-1776 sent you! :D

The Starfortess website is disabled. I would also suggest going to www.theproppalace.com & read what is there before deciding to send any money.
Every couple of months this same topic comes up. I know some people have had success with dealing with Starfortress, but I would consider this a warning sign.
I'm not trying to start a flame war here, just reporting the facts I see.
I agree with BKBT. I have heard of more unsatisfied people than not. Unless things have changed alot with them, I would advise against it.
Wes
As far as I know, no one has been unhappy with Starfortress yet. We were all displeased with Prop Palace. Like I said, e-mail Anton about any problems. He's normally pretty good about fixing any issues that may come up.

So far, you are the only one I know of who has dealt with Star Fortress. If things have changed, that's great. That's one more source for costuming needs. TK 409 bought a jumpsuit from them and was overall pleased with it. He is the only one I can recall with a positive experience from Prop Palace.
I prefer to stay with my tried and true source, RA.
Wes
If I'm not mistaken, if you read what is at www.theproppalace.com, Peter Lawless & Tom Scheuer are one & the same & started up starfortressproductions.com. Proppalace was always hit or miss with their products & I would hate to see more people fall victim to any kind of scam. John, this is by no means an attack on you & if you have had good service & are happy with your products then that is great! The point I am trying to make is that it APPEARS that Starfortress is still run by the same people as Proppalace. It is easy enough to give yourself a new internet identity & Peter/Tom has done this before.
Again, this is not an attack on anyone here, I'm just voicing my opinions as we all have a right to do.
Yeah, I've been pretty lucky. Peter Lawless screwed me out of almost $400. Anton from SF and Russ from Out World Productions were the ones who helped me to get my money back. Then, Anton sold me the items I had paid Peter for, but charged me less. If Anton is Peter then he'd have to have a screw loose for selling me something at full price, then help me get my money back, just to sell the items I wanted in the first place cheaper! :D I've drilled Anton over and over regarding these fears. From what Russ and Anton told me, Peter is on the run from the police, BIG TIME, for threatening to kill Russ + Anton as well as their children. Anton even helped bring to attention Peter trying to sell stuff on eBay under a different ID name. Hey, all I know is Anton's been super cool with me and my Fett costume is now complete because of him. :D

It's good to hear you are pleased with them.
Everyone has their preference. If you like the way SF handles your business, by all means, stick with them.
In the end, as long as you are satisfied, that's all that matters.
Wes
To be honest, I started doing business with them, without ever knowing that RA was around. Generally, I would prefer more local suppliers. I guess I'll know the next time I want to upgrade my costume. :D

I agree with you. RA delivers a very good quality product. I've ordered 90 % of my costume from him and i have absolutely no complaints. It's more expensive, but it's worthy. Keep the good work, Richie ! :DQuote:

Sorry gentleman but I had to edit a number of your posts due to a COC violation. It states:

I just finished dealing w/ Anton from SFP for some stuff & plan on showing some pics soon & a full review. Absolutely no problems w/ ordering or receiving, 1 of 3 pieces I was very dissapointed in...
Stay tuned....

EDIT: o.k., my spelling sucks...
I e-mailed Anton about the web site and the "BS" on the Prop Palace site. The SF site is now back up. His credit card had been maxed and he didn't know it and thought the site was paid for, but his card wasn't covering it. It's fine now.
As for the **** on the Prop Palace site about Anton, what he said it came down to was Peter is trying to get out of paying people their money back, so he's sending them to Anton to try and get out of it.
I've been very pleased with my business transactions with Anton + SF. All you need to do is e-mail Anton once and you'll see that he actually cares about getting you what you want and he dislikes Peter and the whole Prop Palace thing just as much as we do. After all, he's taking a lot of heat for what Peter did and his business has suffered because of past Prop Palace nonsense.

I checked out the website. Some of his stuff looks pretty good, I admit. A lot of it is very inaccurate though.
I really liked the droid section. As much as I would like to have a life sized IG-88 or probe droid I can't see paying $3-4K then waiting a 8 months for it.
Wes
Not to mention paying another $500 for shipping! Seems like it would haveQuote:

to be made out of lead and shipped from the Congo to justify that. :thumbsd
That's the one thing I don't like about getting props from the other side of the world. The international shipping rates are crazy.
Hey, you all wanted to know how the stuff I got from Anton looks, well I just posted a link to a pic of me in my completed costume on the Sarlacc Pit. I got my jumpsuit, jet pack, knee pieces and ESB rifle from Star Fortress. Let me know what you think? :D

For those of you who have bought from SF, did you have to pay that high shipping price? HE told me it is that high because they are asian based? Anyone know this to be true? Do item from from Asia or the States?

As far as I know, they come from the Phillipines.
Wes
I have dealt with peeps in the phillipines and shipping was not that exuberant!!

I bought some items from the PP last year. I paid in Euro and could save.
I agree, I too have snet stuff overseas and postage was never that much. Looks like they have some good things but the shipping fees take it right out of my ballpark.
Can we see the photos you mentioned of the stuff from SF?Quote:

I'm in need of a jumpsuit and do want to buy one from starfortressproductions, but it's impossible to fill out the order. Possibly a technical error constantly refreshes the page and the fields switch to wrong settings or cannot be filled out. >: >: >:
E-mail Anton directly at Starfortressproductions@yahoo.com. I had the same problem. He will take care of it for you.

Thanks, he should not have much customers at the moment if his payment page does not work … :p
Could anyone tell me just how "acurate" SFP's softpart kit is compared to the real ROTJ suit? I'm not a real expert on this so i'm deppening on YOUR opinioins here. Especially the flak vest are wanted.
cheers,
Boba swede
I got ny jumpsuit from Skygunbro on ebay. He will custom make it to your size.
Thanks for the tip but i think i can save more money buy buying all of the soft-parts in one go rather than buy one at a time on ebay.
So far SFP is the only one who seems to offer this. Plus, i assume anyway, that the color schemes will match better...
I just recieved my Jango Fett jumpsuit from starfortress productions, really happy with it. I thinking ordering Snowtrooper armor next.
Later,
Buddhafett
Not true, SPF overcharges on shipping (IMO) and sometimes does not get things right and has to redo them. I was thinking of buying the softparts combo from them but found this in the states instead. I got my jumpsuit and vest fro the same guy and only paid 1 shipping charge. You don't have to win the auction, just email him and he will do it. Very quickly to. I am very happy with mine except I have to take the vest in a little as it was a little big from me.Quote:

Kewl.. well i'll email him and we'll see what happens.
Out of curiosity, do Darth Flan's shin tools fit into the SFP suit?
Can someone please email me RA's name and website info? Thanks in advance.
Ive bought a few things from there and im really happy with it all. shippings a little much but im happy with it.
pogo
My international clients have told me that Anton at SFP is a straightup guy,but they hate the shipping and handling charges, they ask me,"you're in Australia, which is further away than the Phillipines, and your shipping is 30% of SFP's so what gives?"
I don't know, but it may just simply come down to company policy on pricing.
Remember,this is a business,not some backyard operator....
Hi
I want to order from SFP but I have a few problems (nothing new there :p ), I want to purchase the soft parts kit but I can not see anywhere to specify size once I go through the order process. This is using the 2checkout system.
I tried the other system (Ikobo) and got stuck on Card Phone Number?
Can anyone that has order from there give me a few pointers.
I have emailed them but I see from this site there is a bulk order going on that is probably keeping them all busy.
Kind Regards
Mithaearon
I just bought a jumpsuit off of them. I picked it up from my parents house on Thanksgiving. It looks great, though it's RoTJ colors and I ordered ESB... But, I ordered through the new Ikobo system... Everything about the process was a little screwy (it didn't charge the "sale" price but the full price. However, it didn't charge me shipping or some reason). The online receipt didn't specify ESB or ROTJ and I emailed him to verify ESB and the problem with the Ikobo system. In talking to him he seems to be a really good guy. But because of the new system, and how everything was screwy, I'm not going to worry about it... I'll dye it or leave it as-is and jump on the RoTJ bandwagon. So I have a grey jumpsuit with brown belt pouches...
I didn't use the other system though...
I will say give him time to respond. It can take a week or so from my experience for a response, but he does indeed respond.
It fits great, but I might have gone a little bigger... I actually did go up a bit in size. I'm a small guy, so if I ever gain weight or get the beer gut thing going I may be in trouble. :lol From what I read about suits being too small sometimes you may want to keep that in mind...
Boy do I feel stupid, I just went through the order process and I thought I would email them afterwards to state my size. I then saw that once you complete the credit card details you get to specify the sizes. :)
GOTS TO READ MAN
Do most people reject the theory that TPP and SFP are all the same guy, and that the whole fight between the "two" was just a ploy to make people think the "bad guy" was TPP and the good guy was SFP, so that he could relaunch himself nice and fresh?
I ask because it sure seems like the same person. The costumes are the same, the photos are the same, the poor web design is the same. Why is that the case if there are two different people running things? People use to defend TPP and claim he wasn't TS. Now many people are doing the same for SFP. They were wrong before, why not now?
I bought from TPP back before I heard about his past. I've stayed away since. I know that the prices make it tempting, but just can't bring myself to send money with someone of that background. If I'm wrong, and I've love to be wrong, let me know. But there is just too much to make me uneasy.
Scott
Whos TTP and TS? And what the heck are you talking about.

I've written several threads on this subject. Look around on TDH and you'll find them. As far as I know, Anton at Star Fortress is not Peter Lawless. From what Anton told me, Peter actually threaten Anton's life as well as his children's lives over Anton trying to help people to get their money back that Peter stole. I'm one of those people. Peter Lawless screwed me out of over $400 and Anton helped me to get my money back through my credit card company. Peter is in hiding, since several countries are seeking his arrest. Anton is doing quite a nice business and is the person who has been supplying Fett jumpsuits to the majority of TDH members lately.
So what your saying is dont buy stuff from them. OK got you!Quote:

Yeah Ive never had a Prob with SFP every question I have asked has always been answerd with in a few days if not shorter.
Isn't it strange, though, that TPP's and SFP's look(ed) like the same web designer made them? And the photos show the same model? Why would there be two people in the Phillipines making the exact same props? It's all too conincidental to me. Even if Lawless was a perfect business man and sold top quality props for $1 a pop, I wouldn't buy from him because of the reason he fled to the Phillipines.
But I'd love to be shown otherwise. I have a TIE suit and a Fett suit from TPP, and if they were actually made by SFP and this Anton guy is really innocent and not a front for Lawless, I'd love to buy more.
Scott
You know my Step mom is from over there, I think I could get ahold of my step brother to go check it out. If I can figure out where he is located. Im sure that would make some of yall feel better about it. Im sure SFP is the real deal but ill see what I can do.
Skaught I can understand where your coming from but you never know.
The reason that Anton's site has all the same ****** images that Peter at Prop Palace had is because they both got their site images from Out World Productions, who supplies all of the items. PP and SF are just distributors for Out World products. Out World shut down Peter after all the nonsense he was pulling and gave bonded distribution rights to Anton at Star Fortress. That's why Peter got mad and threated Anton + his families lives. Not only did Peter threaten him, but he threatened him over and e-mail, pretending to be a muslim extremist, so several countries are looking to charge Peter with International terrorism charges. What a dummy, huh?! Anton has been real helpful to me. Most of his items are great. Certain items were not quite movie accurate, but I was able to tweek them and make them correct. I hope this helps a bit. :)
Is Out World also based in the Phillipines? Why doesn't OW sell directly? Do other people distribute their material besides SFP? Seems strange to have so much prop making coming from various sources in the Phillipines!
Thanks,
Scott
Exactly...and why hasn't anyone correlated the Universal Armorer pseudonym of Outworld (outworld@jetlink.com.ph) to Outworld Productions. With all the other coincidences involved, it should be a straight up fact that outworld is supplying Anton or whoever from Tom/Ernie/peter lawless if they aren't one in the same.Quote:

Give me a break here, too. Let's look and see what armor parts were recast as well.
1) Armor F/X TK armor. The fiberglass helmet is an OBVIOUS recast of the popular oversized helmet.
2)Clone armor. Albeit somewhat retooled, the armor was recast from my version 2 clone armor released about 2 years ago. It was SOLD TO CHRISBAN ON EBAY!!! I have records and paypal address to prove this.
If you guys are and have been so so so so determined to ban anyone that has been actively reselling recast parts, why do you ignore this?
There are so many double standards thrown about that it makes me sick to my stomach.
Don't even try to mention me recasting anything. It has been 7 years and avoided ever since. My past is not in question here.
That site has all of PP information and names to watch for..useful informationQuote:

I was thinking of buying my new jango suit from him, but he told me on wed evening (3/2) that 'today' was the last day to order to get it prior to C3 because the order was going in at the end of the week. So i emailed him right back since it was 9pm EST asking him if 'today' meant 3/2 or did it mean 3/3 if it was already the next day there..... You know the international date line and stuff. Because i didnt want to just place an order and pay and then find out my new suit would be here 2 weeks after C3 because the last day was "yesterday". Since then the emails have stopped from him. He should have known this was a bit of a time sensitive email/subject and i had replied right away after his initial reply... I guess I wont be doing business there after all.
Just poor communications if you ask me, not a good way to make people feel safe sending money half way around the world
dan
DOnt feel bad ive been waiting on my jump suit since dec
AND THAT.....Seals the deal that I wont be ordering it from SFP even if i do get an email and he says i will get it before C3.....NOOOOOO WAY
I already dropped RA an email yesterday.....hopefully he can do it prior to C3....might be too close already.....
dan
Hmmm, glad I spotted this thread. I was giving serious consideration to ordering Jango's holster/utility belt from them. Even IF starfortressproductions has no other connection to TPP (and I would be inclined, without further proof, to give them the benifit of doubt), it would seem that there is a chance that what you order isn't quite what you get! That orders may not be complete and/or that it may take some time for the order to arrive!
Whilst I am sure that lots of people have brought things from them with no problems, the way my luck works I won't be one of them! :doh
Has anyone bought anything from bobamaker? I was umming and arring who do get my flightsuit from him or SFP.
From what i have heard bobamaker is a very good quality reliable source. I have not dealt with him but i have read that in other posts...
SFP is a little hit and miss it seems. I know some have been happy and some not. Some are waiting VERY long times for their items.
I'd say go with Bobamaker. I purchased a T-visor and Decals from him and they're better than perfect, HIGHLY recommended. I will be purchasing more parts from him in the near furure.Quote:

If my time in World of Warcraft taught me anything it is that people are always willing to negotiate their prices.
:cheering
I have set up the bulk order for the fett jumpsuits with him. In all my dealings with Anton I think he is totally a stand-up guy. I delt with the old Prop Palace and hated dealing with them. Their products were good quality but it was a nightmare getting them. SFP seems to have fixed that problem. It didn't take them that long to make 20 some odd jumpsuits either.
Hmm, that is a delicate subject. I personally would not plan events around estimated delivery times on products.
I concur with OPPI...
SFP is a little hit and miss it seems. I know some have been happy and some not. Some are waiting VERY long times for their items.
If planning for Halloween 2005, be sure to have a delivery date by August and a Plan "B" in place.
Anyone heard the name Shueller or Shueler before? Just wondering.
Ya mean Scheuer?
Scheuer, is that how he spells his original name? I am not sure. Was Scheuer UA? If so...then yes...anyone heard of this fellow? If he is...then the dance with the Devil has happened and how terribly sad for those who do not know the truth.
ok, I purchased a TIE Fighter Jacket from SFP. It has good quality and the right size, but took forever to be delivered, almost 4 months. I was going to purchase the soft parts kit from them but then I looked at several alternatives and ordered softparts from skygunbros. I got the entire shipment today, less than 3 weeks from when I ordered it. Fit, colors, and quality are all good. And if you email them for a price on full set they will prob. give you a discount. I have been to TK409's site and his stuff looks top notch too. I prob. would have ordered from him if I wasn't getting a full set of soft parts(he doesn't have some softparts for sale).
ok... now I'm getting nervous. I ordered from SFP in febuary and the last time I talked to anton (may 8th), he said that he would be getting the vest anyday and he would send everything once it was in his posession. Yay! Now it's been a long couple weeks and I have written numerous emails asking how long it takes to ship from there to here. No responces.
I really want my items before the premier. No, I NEED them...
I really got my hopes up high for this project. Spent well over $900 on all the parts and materials. Only to be cut short at the end because some guy isn't connecting with me...
sorry for the spelling errors... I'm a little miffed at the moment
I told myself that I will allow myself a week before I start freaking out about this situation... it has been that long without even a responce from Anton... *sigh*
For those out there who are spiritual, I would like your prayers. Thank you.
I'm not exactly thrilled with their customer service. I just bought one of their flightsuits, waited three months & it doesn't fit & is not the color I asked for. I sent an email to Anton politely asking if the suit could get exchanged & I have not heard anything back.:doh
Buyer beware!
One of the other members here received a suit from him in the bulk run. It was NOT THE RIGHT SIZE AT ALL. When he wrote Anton to find out about getting a replacement, Anton suggested that he sell the wrong jumpsuit and use the money that he gets to get send back out to SFP and get the correct one. That does not sound like customer service to me.
That would be me.Quote:

Back in the same boat.
This time anton actually admitted that they messed up, & they would "work out the shipping" to get that one fixed.
What does that mean?
I emailed him back to find out, haven't heard anything yet.
I'm not surprised.
There seems to be alot of stuff from SFP.. or atleast imgaes used by SFP on ebay nowadays.. someone called "genghisthom" seems to be handling alot of the stuff..
anyone know the history of this guy? is it another alias for SFP or is he just using their images with out permition?
Seems mad to me! I'd recommend when/if you get your money back getting your flightsuit from Bobamaker. His stuff is great, I've got one of his flightsuits, made to order, the right size AND the correct colour. It didn't take him long to make it either, no 3, 4, 5 months or more as some of those buying from starfortressproductions have reported! Doing a deceant Mandalorian or screen accurate Fett is not cheap, so you should get value for money. No offense to those that have brought from SFP and not had a problem but it certainley seems that you don't get value from SFP.Quote:
