Spats

Anyone have any tips on keeping the ankle spats from moving around? Do you fasten them more on the loose side or tight side? A minor detail, but it's driving me flippin' nuts!!!

So far I have decided to place a velcro square on the top side of my new boots (once I get them) and a corresponding square on the underside of the spat. I am also going to add an elastic stirrup to the flightsuit pant leg to keep it tucked in the boot (may not be canon, but it's functional!).

Any other ideas?

The elastic "stirrup" is probably a good idea. But I would make sure it looks cannon once you have the spats on.

Not sure about velcro on the boots to hold the spats down. That may work, but I am not sure how well. If you do end up trying this, please post pics. I would love to see it!
