Son's JR. ROTJ build

Lunchbox280

New Hunter
My 12 Yr old decided last month that he wanted to head out as Boba this Halloween. I'm not sure it'll all get done in time, but we have a local NWI Comicon in Feb, so it should be complete by then...I hope. I used WOF's AWESOME armor templates as a guide for my Vac-bucks, and RafalFett's equally AWESOME paint templates. I pulled the parts in silver .125 and / or white .080 HIPS, I think .060 would be better for the Gauntlets they're a bit soft on detail. The Gauntlets are appx 7 in long and the pack is 12in wide. Couple quick pics, more to come soon. Thank You to all the talent on this board, comments / input always welcome.

Wow, those look great. Is there any chance you might produce these for sale? I'm working on a mando for my daughter and an inexpensive pack and gaunts would be great since she'll probably outgrow them in about 20 minutes. Lol

(y) This idea as well!! I'd be interested!

Thanks for the kind words guys,
I've already sent a set to a friend for his son's Mando and if there's interest, i'd be willing to knock out some extra pulls. The parts aren't perfect, but some compromises needed to be made due to size and the Vac-forming process. The pack was partially glued up today, I'm using 1 1/2 PVC for the side tubes and the pic with my hand is just a little size reference. I'll weather everything up at the end, so it's all still pretty clean. I was out of masking fluid, so I used some "zombie skin" liquid latex, it works the same, just gums up the brush.

i'd be interested, depending on the price. like i said, it would be for my kids custom, so accuracy isn't my number one concern.

Started painting the jet pack but the cool wet Chicago weather wouldn't cooperate, so I decided to make some knee molds and pull some parts. The knees are just over 3 in wide and seem to fit my son pretty good.
I pulled a second set of knees and also knocked out a few sets of Gauntlets. I don't want to violate any forum etiquette, but those that were interested in gauntlets, I have 3 full sets and 2 partial sets if you want to PM me. We decided there's no way to get the full ROTJ costume done by this weekend, so for now he'll be an early version of Boba kind of like the 1313 video game concept art.

Well.... I didn't get it complete, but it's a start, we hit up a local Con and had a blast. The helmet was a last min. 11.5 hr one day build, so go easy on me lol.

I'd be interested in a set of gauntlets and jetpack!

How tall is your son if you don't mind me asking? I'm only 5'3 and wondering if these would work for me to be honest!

Not sure on that, his gaunts are glued and he is just able to slide them over his hands. If you want to PM me with measurements of the circumference of your wrist and upper forearm, I can check.
