General Softpart weathering

Hey guys

I´m the proud owner of a whole bobamaker made ROTJ armor. – it´s amazing and I love it, by the way.
Though Daz made agreat job by pre-weathering the softparts, I´m of the opinion that it could be even more dirty.
So I was wondering if you could give my some advices for weathering the flight suit and the vest.
Are there any tutorials I didn´t found ? (I already tried the search function. Without success)

Bernardo, if you have an airbrush you could try fabric paints. There's a brand called Createx that comes pre-thinned and ready to spray. I used this on my own Bobamaker flightsuit.
I used black, white and brown to mix some dirty looking shades of gray and brown.
After spraying it, you make it permanent by ironing the fabric.

I used shoe polish and water in a garden spray mister bottle. (not tinned obviously, the ones that you can squeeze onto a pad).
less is more.

did about 3 layers - search my posts for pics. worked well for esb fett.

never even thought of using that brand. Awesome stuff

I used a couple of cans of Krylon black primer, works great for that sooty look.

"A lot of it is real grime from my epoxied garage floor. I simply cleaned the floor of the garage with the costume" .... *gg* I love it
Wasteland did a great job with his costume.

I really like the fabric paints airbrush idea. I think i´m goig for that one. Cheers superjedi !

And brandontureblue thanks as well. I tried similar cans, but I was not quite unhappy with the result. It was a bit imprecise. Could be that I just handled the cans wrong
