Skygunbro FETT suits Announcement

HI All I have done alot of suits for people on here in the last couple years and it has been a pleasure.
I am not going to be doing the suits for a bit.....I had a person sewing for me when I got real busy and my wife couldnt handle the load as she works a full time job.
Well to make a long story short this lady that was doing alot of the sewing I caught stealing from me.
She was taking material,zippers and other supplies....was wondering why my inventory never added up.
So until my wife gets out of school in a week or so I wont be doing any suits,vests,belt bags etc.

yeah tell me about It...Im the type that if she really needed/wanted it I would have given it to her if she asked.....

SGB I hope you can get back on track soon, I'd love to order an ESB suit so please post when you're ready to do another run.

Seriously, I would tell her to pay for what she's stolen and if she refuses then simply call the police.

Thieves are lucky to get five hundred bucks from robbing a service station. I'd call the police even if she pays it back.

Well in a way its partly my fault for keeping half baked inventory but you wouldnt think someone you trusted would be stealing stuff from you.
Anyway we will still make stuff but its gonna be a bit like I said til my wife and I can sit down and come up with a game plan.We will probably do small runs or single suits.
ALso another thing is we are going to be doing generic suit sizes like batninja does with his vests small.med. large...etc.
I think this will work well.

I am so sorry to hear this happened. Are you going to file a police report?

I also agree you shouldn't let this go, otherwise she WILL do it again to someone else as trusting as you were!

Funny thing is Im a cop (well not active right now)lol.....How ironic is that. I am planning on doing something.
But she hasnt handed over my patterns yet....
I originally designed everything so i guess I could do it again but would be nice to get my patterns back.

Sorry to hear about what happend. Ahh dude! That really sucks!. I remember you telling me we have the same/simular professions. I don't know how well you know the person if it's a close friend or a relative. But if I were you I would try to keep an eye on that person. Maybe she has history priors that you don't know of. Not only that she could be stealing your designs and be making profit out of them on Ebay or something. I hope you have some back-ups!

Well the plot has thickened....Now that she is not sewing for me anymore I asked for my stuff back she had.She returned my materials,zippers etc.
I then asked her for my patterns alot of which she had the only copies of.And guess what she told me...she said "I wont just give them back" she wants me to buy them from her!!
Sorry but I dont deal well with blackmail/extortion.
Funny thing is I designed all these to begin with so I wont pay her a red cent.As far as Im concerned she now owns some Star Wars toilet paper...
Anyway Im not worried about her selling them on ebay or elsewhere cause she doesnt even have a phone or pc.Its possible a relative could sell them for her but doubtful.Ill just make new ones but I am pursuing this.

I'll keep an eye out if they surface on eBay. You can then report it's stolen property (and I'm sure a bunch of us here will back you up.)

Sorry to hear about what happened to you Jason! Karma will eventually take care of her but at least you got some of your stuff back! I'll keep a lookout on Ebay for your patterns man!

Ya know I have always been an aggresive person...Which is alot of the reason i quit my job as a police officer when i found myself wanting to pummel the next guy in the back of my cruiser that spit at me.
In some way I wanna put the screws to her and make her wish she never met me but the other side of me says who cares I have copies of the patterns and anythign I dont have I made the first time I can do it again.
But I wont pay her a red dime. I have all the proof sitting here that these belong to me and any labor she did was paid for.So basically im waiting for her to send me another note and Ill unleash hell...but I have learned sometimes not saying anything is the best weapon of all and gets them nervous and keeps em guessing as to what your up to.

It's one thing to wrong someone and be caught. It's entirely another thing to wrong someone, be caught, and keep wronging them.

Coming from one of your former brothers in blue....NAIL HER BUTT TO THE WALL. If you didn't get her charged with Larceny by Employee (which you should do), I'd seriously consider a civil suit. It's the principle of the thing. People make bad decisions and mistakes every day...even cops. But to be caught and called out on being a thief, and then to basically spit in your face by trying to sell you back pieces of your own livelihood....well that's just plain horrible.

Well We are doing more soon just have to make time to do them.been real busy doing helmets etc.
The whole above situation although annoying doesnt really affect the suit production.just its hard for me to do helmets and suits at the same time.And with the kids home for summmer that makes finding extra time impossible.My Wife however is going to be making a few suits soon.-JAson

Thanks all for the kind words.....Yeah its annoying but I spent a long time trying to get the patterns just right...But I had forgotten I had made copies so as far as im concerned she has some nice boba fett pattern toilet paper.

I am very glad to hear that you have copies, but it still burns me. You have "perfected the Fett" and no one should have your patterns.

That is your intellectual property, not only did she steal material, but in addition, she took your art.

Anyway, I will try to keep off the soap box.

My concept vader sculpt still sits collecting dust... I do have the concept stormtrooper done and ready to mold and the concept fett sculpt is near completion as well. RPF member Jrx did a very cool concept vader helmet.And I think another guy is doing one now as well. Some day Ill finish mine but im kinda waiting to snag the KOTOBUKIYA Concept vader/luke statues for better reference.

Skygunbro, just thought you'd like to know I trooped one of your ESB Fetts suit's on Tuesday for the delivery of Lukes Lightsaber to NASA for a trip on the Space Shuttle(STS120). So I guess you could now say you are the official flight suit maker for this mission

All I know is that he has been really, really busy on some scuplts and molds he has been doing (McQuarrie Trooper is amazing!). You might try him on the RPF if you don't get him here.
