Side Pouches' shape

here's a question that probably has a simple answer to it, but i was just wondering on the side pouches, how do we make them look full, or that square shape? what are you guys putting in there to give them that "in use" look? thanks!!

I buy the 2" thick stuff at Joanns fabric, it's a florescent green, but it's hidden. I've considered building styrene boxes to fit inside of my pouches to keep them functional though, but I'm just thinking out loud.

Andy,
Nice Idea... how about just making a U shaped part out of styrene/aluminum? it may work...though it may need to be snug to add enough tension to keep the front flat.(y)
cause if you make a "box" you have to pull the box out to get at your stuff. cause your hand may not fit properly in the small box. if that makes sence...
I'll test it out this weekend ...I'm sewing my set right now.

I don't use anything in mine.
I don't care for the "I'm smuggling library books" look that most Boba's seem to have
I leave mine empty except for my wallet & cell phone

interesting, slave1pilot...yours have nothing in them in that pic? mine dont seem to have any fullness shape to them....i guess i just need to put them on the belt and see what happens...thanks guys for you insight!! (y)

Or, how bout this? You could cut up a wire coat hanger -- the rather stiff kind, not the flimsy wire ones -- and sew the rods to the fabric's vertices, e.g. where-ever there's a 90* bend... where the sides meet each other and are stitched, and around the bottom. This way, the pouch is open, and you have access to the inside, unlike a box which would prevent you from reaching down inside.

Hope this makes some sort of sense, and at least it would give some dimension to the pouches, instead of being flat, while retaining useability...

I can rough up a diagram in MS paint or something if need be.

Nope, completely empty in that pic
I suppose it could also depend on the maker of the pouches
Different patterns could affect the way they look as well
Mine were made by crazy4bobafett
another pic (empty again)

I have been told that single size chip bags work well and give provide a quick snack should you need it. :D

As you weather them and the fabric is more worn, they will behave better.

Some people put the foam or some kind of insert because they want that look.

I really like the chip idea, or keep them useful as Nathan does.

It's Christi without the "e"

She made the cape, spats, neckseal, vest, and pouches.
She also modified my jumpsuit to make it more accurate & fit better
She's the best!! (no offense :p)
