SHOWOFF: Chick Boba Fett! done!

Escho, if vite decides she doesn't want it/can't use it, lemme know. My fiance' may want it as long as it'll fit her.

Vite - Cant wait to see the progress on this!

Can't wait to see how this turns out. If I had the kind of figure to carry it off I'd be all over it like a rash.

*camps out*

holy ****, it's done!

my friends are going to **** themselves when they see it. it's nowhere near the quality that you guys crank out, but thanks to all the templates and tips here, it ain't a pile of **** either! okay, the jetpack is pretty **** because I had to do that in a super hurry.

I can't believe that I got as much done as I did, with almost zero tools, no workshop, no help, spray painting in a room with beige carpets (eep!). I'm especially proud of my trashcan shoulder bells. But you'll see! The whole thing looks nothing like the inspiration, but it's definitely Boba, and you can definitely tell it's a girl under there.

Pictures soon! I'll have someone to do it for me tomorrow or Saturday and post ASAP. It's a bit cumbersome to do the mirror-shot stuff myself while wearing all that stuff, so my photographer friend is gonna help me out, thankfully!

Today I finished the top so it was the first time I put the gear on. You should have heard the giggles!

if the giggles are anything like my former garrison xo's when i gave her a hyperfirm lewis gun for a wedding present then i can imagine. lol. looking forward to seeing it all together.

Congratulations vitegeist. I can't wait to see this. I'm working on a set for my girlfriend in the same style as the statue in your avatar.

Thanks to CombatBaby, Darth Paul, FettDad, Jezebelle, and saint_nasty.

If you have questions about any of the parts, send me a shout. I think the best part are the trashcan shoulder bells - amazing what you can do with a heatgun and some acrylic paint, not to mention TDH templates!

(p.s. I know the jetpack is ghetto but it was a mad scramble. that's also why there are no back-on photos of it.)

jess, you're probably going to get some fans after those pics. lol. but it came out great, it really looks good.

Hydra's is really nice but I like Vitegeist's in a different way. I think each builder had different goals in mind, just like the guys that build the custom mando armor. It's hard to compare two custom suits apples to apples. That said, the vitegeist build is my favorite.

Hydra's is gorrrrrgeeeoouuusss! There's a lot more creativity, time, and effort visible in that one.

I've been a long time Boba fan, but not nearly as committed as the lot of you.

I wanted to do something recognizable for Halloween, and still do the hardcore costumers justice with some detailed and more accurate bits. It was a big hit!

I wore it out to two clubs for halloween parties and designed it with that in mind. One of the club nights is a kind of tame version of a fetish night (my friend DJ's there)- and there were a lot of geeks who loved it! It also wasn't too warm, but was warm enough to walk outside for a bit in the crisp October air, though it was kind of hard to see out of the visor since I accidentally etched it a bit while I was trying to clean it!

My friends and I passed a few jedi scum while walking to the venues. Full battles ensued. I even met a Han Solo and tried to disintigrate him!

Anyway, yes, apples and oranges.
