Shin Tools

Which shin tools?
As far as I know three of the tools can be made from two found parts, the Paterson Squeege and the chemical stirrer both of which are plastic, this leaves just one possibly aluminium tool which is a directional mike I think, no doubt someone with more knowledge will correct me if I am wrong.
Darts, spikes and shoulder studs can sometimes be found for sale on this site and the found parts for the shin tools sometimes come up except the directional mike thingy.

Mojo-Fett has sold complete patterson found parts ... he also makes machined aluminum reproductions of the stylus brush tubes.

I was lucky enough to find the Patterson tools on amazon.com

The fourth tool may be some type of microphone cylinder but its not yet identified. I just use an aluminum tube cut to the length of my shin pocket.

To clonecollector you should listen.

Both photo tools can be found on B&H photo, probably other sites too. That gives you almost 3 tools out of the 4.

Here is an image I made a few days ago with the shin tools used on most of the Boba Fett suits. I said 'most of the suits' because on some versions are just two or three of the shin tools.

The jetpack adjustment tool is not a valid shin tool, and as clonecollector said, there was a hint that the fourth shin tool was a part of a microphone, but was never proved, this is why a steel pipe is the best choice (in lack of proofs).

My shin tools arrived, ordered these off of amazon, only problem is I had to have them shipped to my dad's house because the company wouldnt ship to my APO address.

Congrats for your aquisition! You have almost 3 shin tools, just need a steel pipe and 2 stylus brush. Can't wait to see the progress on those.

I actually just ordered both the squeegy and stir stick on amazon, with shipping it came out to about 56 bucks

Wow... steep. I don't think I paid that much but the order wasn't fulfilled by Amazon per se. They came from another vendor. Either way... its cool to say you have real found parts on your suit!

What item does the stylus brush pieces come from?

Mojo-Fett makes reproductions of these. He has a thread here but you can PM him as well.

That style is no longer in production, this is why you can't find it. If you are lucky, you might find it on e-Bay, but it will come with the whole turntable, which isn't cheap.

LOL Im glad I now have these, but unfortunately they're about 5300 miles away from me right now lol, Ill have to wait until I get back to the states to "modify" them and create my actual tools. But when I do Ill be sure to post a thread and keep every one updated, but right now Im dying my flight suit and getting ready to mount my armor to the vest.
