    Shin tool sizing

I have a found part Patterson RC Print Squeege to use for one of my shin tools, but it seems REALLY large compared to reference photos. I know it's got to be cut down so it's not as long, but it seems to be far beefier than ones I see in pictures. I've had two flightsuits, and its far too big to fit into the shin tool pockets that have been sewen into the legs.

Is it more likely that my squeege is just too big, or that my pockets are too small?

Shawn. I made my flight suit from the WOF plans and the pockets were too small. Had to redo them. I just measured my Patterson, it is 3 inches wide at the top where the finger grip part is. The original length was about 14 inches. I'd research carefully before you cut it down.

Here are two PDF files made by the very talented Seven and most of the shin tools are movie accurate in size (I say most, because the jetpack adjustment tool is not a real shin tool, while the so called survival knife never had a knife-like form):

And here is an image compiled by me about the shin tools:

My converted Squeegee is 9" long. The stirrer "knife" is 8.5" long. Remember part of the squeegee that is cut off is used to make the "anti-security blade"!

You can check the reference shots we have here in the gallery (i used ESB, as thats what my suit is) and you can see the squeegee sticks out of the pocket almost to the knee. I used that as guidance, along with sevens tutorial on how to convert the found part squeegee.

here are mine. Remember the squeegee is 9"!
