SFP Jumpsuit *NEW COLOR* Now Available

    EDIT*
Here's the actual comparison of the older, darker gray and the new lighter gray (I wanted a ROTJ colored jumpsuit, so the ESB blue is another story.) Obviously in daylight it will be even lighter. This is under indoor florescent light.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been speaking with Anton at SFP about his gray Fett jumpsuit being too dark as I'm sure many others have. He's now offering a light gray jumpsuit and I received mine yesterday. Overall it's awesome - great quality craftsmanship, material, fit and color.

One minor problem that still exists though is that the shin pockets are still divided right in the middles, even though I tried to get him to change that. He said he would, but they must have missed it. The right short sleeve now has 2 elastic hose holders inside. It arrived from the Phillippines in about 4 weeks. Here's another photo comparison shot in daylight. The darker one on the left has been weathered to appear lighter than the original dark gray, but I think the new light gray (right) is even better.

Tk-409 Is the jumpsuit with the new color cotton twill? BTW you are helping us so much by correcting the color of the jumpsuit. Thank you for inspiring so many good things.

Any way you want to convince him to make a better blue color also? That is a really good looking new jumpsuit you got there Chris.

    Hey Chris,

Is Fett's jumpsuit that light in ESB? I have the same dark grey SFP jumpsuit. If it is suppose to be light, I'm sure Anton will hook me up.

I don't believe the ESB jumpsuit is as gray as it has been perceived. I feel the jumpsuit is a blue color along the lines of the 1st or 3rd Prepro with a good deal of weathering on it.

The gloves are very gray, and they are good point of contrast against the color suit.

Does look a lot better in the light grey, but I also think it should be a little more blue. Also the thigh pocket flaps seem to be curved rather than square. I think the Don Post Mannequin has curved but I'm sure the movie versions are squared (hope this makes sense).

I'm doing the ROTJ jumpsuit, which is light gray. ESB is slightly bluer. Prepro is dark gray.

Hey there Trooper TK409 what are the measurments you gave for your jump suit. I'm about 6 feet tall and 170 lbs.
Your suit seems to fit you very well. If we are similar hight and weight maybe I could use your chart specs to order my suit.

Re: SFP Jumpsuit *NEW COLOR* Now Available

About SF having problems with credit cards, I got an e-mail from Anton the other day. He was saying that they were getting a new processor or something like that. I don't know much about computers so it's all Chinese to me. He said it would be corrected very soon. When this has happened before, I've just sent him Western Unions to pay for stuff with no problems. In fact I recently ordered a Olive Green Imperial Officer's complete uniform. I should be shipped out in a week or so. That should be fun.

I'm doing the Conneticon event this weekend and my garrison is taking Peter Mayhew + guest out to dinner after the event. If I get any good pics of me in my Fett with the Wookiee himself, I'll make sure that you all see them.

Chris, I hate to complicate things, but check out this screen capture from ROTJ.... light blue more like ESB. I guess we just need to choose the colour we're happy with and accept that Boba is a continuity nightmare. Besides we all perceive colour in different ways, so what's light grey to one is blue/grey to another.

OK, so I thought it was established that Fett's ROTJ jumpsuit was light gray. I didn't think I was just making this up. Am I wrong?

This is exactly what I mean in my post about the weathering.

There is a big difference between, screen and exhibit accuracy. Seems like some choose either or mix and match. Does the lens or the film processing have anything to do with it?

I think that the colour varied throughout the filming of ROTJ, there's no way they would of used only one set of clothing... Anyway, like I said, we need to decide what we prefer, there are no wrong or rights when it come to Boba Fett, only likes and dislikes.

Re: SFP Jumpsuit *NEW COLOR* Now Available

someone awhile back showed a picture where you can clearly see that it had faded from blue to greyish, there were still places that were blue in the folds and such...I would think that it would have faded alot in the sun and over time. and to answer the question of film/processing having an affect on color: As something of a resident expert in that being a photographer and working in a photo lab, I can say most definately yes. Colors in printing shift dayly, even hour to hour based on how the chemestry in both the film processor and paper processor change. There is also a great deal of difference between various films (Kodak is horrible, I will only shoot Fuji) not to mention colors vary depending on who is printing at the same machine. This is all assuming we are talking about the same scene under the same lighting. Phew...

How about the Jango jumpsuite? Darkblue, lighterblue, or a sort of purplish color? It all depends on the picture.

I say definately pick a color you think you like or you think is most accurate.

would anybody be interested in doing a bulk purchase of jumpsuits? I'm sure now that this new color is available there will be several people ordering, maybe we can organize ourselves and buy in bulk...just a thought. In the meantime I'll email SFP and see if he would be open to it.

I was thinking If we have what is considered to be the correct vest fabric, which I assume is the correct color, why couldn't we just correct a pic to match the vest fabric and then use that for the correct color jumpsuit. That is if the vest fabric is correct and the color is correct. I still have mine from the last batch.

I had one from the old prop palace, since they make the same stuff just faster I can comment on the color. The blue I had was this really bright baby blue, very far off from what it should be. I don't have any pics of it since I sent it back.

Well, got my new jumpsuit. This isn't good. It's blue. Definitely asked for light gray - got light blue....

    Ugghh!

Edit: I've sent Anton a mail re this problem as I def asked for light gray. I'm p.o.'d! Now I've got 2 suits - JFjr was waiting for my dark gray.

The upside for those that ordered ESB light blue - this seems dead-on to me.

The downside - I hope this is just a mix-up (this sure ain't TK409's new suit color), but if it isn't those expecting gray are gonna be dissapointed!

If it's an accurate ESB blue, that's ok.If it's not then it's not ok.
The light grey will also be ok.
I have'nt started the costume yet,I guess the jumpsuit will decide which version I do

O.k., heard back from Anton, I was definititely shipped the wrong color - yay(?)... He's gonna get me a light gray 1 out right away.

Here's a pic of the ESB blue color as compared to my old dark gray ROTJ (p.s. this shot is taken outside on a semi cloudy day. IMO, this blue is dead on to the ESB pics I've seen....

Well I got my starfortress jumpsuit and the only thing I can say is Anton is definetely THE MAN for Fett jumpsuits. I took size M and I feared that it’s too large for me, but on contrary, it runs a little narrow, but nothing catastrophic.

I will add some pics !!!

I ordered mine last month from SFP and got it in exactly 3 weeks. The site says up to 6 weeks and it's 8 weeks until Halloween so there's time.

Be aware that Anton is doing a large batch already(see the bulk purchase thread) & this may slow things up some.

Hey TK, John here, will there be another run for these? I will send you the fundage if you can get SFP to deliver one to me by Halloween. Send an e-mail if you like.

Here’s my starfortress jumpsuit. It’s the new lighter gray version, the shin pockets are modified and no longer divided right in the middle!

    and yes … I'm a Jango clone …

I just discovered that the pouches of the SFP jumpsuit are sewed too high. This must be modified!

I mean the two pouches on the jumpsuit. They're misplaced and too high. They should be placed further down on the thigh.

The cod piece covers a part of the pouches, yes …
    This can be modified however.

Hmm that still sucks that you have to fool with it because they arent cheap, to my standards at least. I remember not to long I got a pair of coveralls everyone was recommending and my pair was the first pair they started putting built in zippers in the back pocket. D'oh.

Re: SFP Jumpsuit *NEW COLOR* Now Available

Here's a pic of my new SFP suit. First off, the suit is fantastic! The construction is top notch. However the color is a little different than what I was expecting. I ordered the 'new' ROTJ gray and the one I got is definitely a cooler blue/gray than the color in the first pic of TK409's suit and mine looks different from T-visors suit as well. I'm wondering if the inconsistency in color is due to the fact that we're using different cameras and lighting rather than SFP using different fabric? Same as T-visor's suit, my pouches are a bit too high and need to be altered. The shin pockets are indeed no longer divided in the middle but the seam is placed incorrectly. Meaning the larger half of shin pockets are on the outside of the leg not on the inside. They also don't fit my shin tools (almost but not quite)so I'll have to grind the two larger tools down a bit. The pouch pockets are rounded and I'll likley make them straight when reposition them. I'm going to be weathering up this suit and use some color remover to fade it some. I bleached the spats a little and that seemed to warm up the color a little bit as well as lighten it just slightly. This is a great suit and well worth the $$ but it still needs some alterations.
