Don't feel too bad. When I ordered mine from PP, I opened the package to find a TAN suit!!!

I have heard a lot of people being shipping the wrong colors by SFP and it has convinced me not to buy from them. This is like the 3rd or 4th time I have seen this on the boards and although they always say he will ship the right color I have to wonder what is going on there? Why can't they get it right the first time?

Yeah man, I read ur post a while back - absolute bang-on job correcting the tan issue, in fact when I first got my original ROTJ dark gray & I read ur post I figured I could bleach out the suit - tried a spat & TK409 can back me up on this - the dark gray suits are the most colorfast material I've ever seen! Again, that job u did on urs was outstanding!

As far as bf669's response re wrong colors being shipped the only thing I can say is Anton has provided good support. My only hope is that the suit makes it here b4 Oct 31!!

    9/15/04:

Man, you guys are gonna hate me....

I now officially have in my possession all 3 colors offered by SFP - the original dark gray, the new "TK 409" light gray (which I must add I'm very happy w/), as well as the ESB blue as posted in a comparison pic above w/ the original dark gray.

    But wait - there's a 4th color.

When I ordered the TK 409 color I requested 2 left pouches, which I rec'd. 'Course, as u read above I got ESB blue instead. With my Tk 409 suit I have rec'd a complimentary R blue pouch to make the blue suit 1 w/ a L & R pouch. I have been instructed to send the blue suit to the west coast.

Problem (not mine now, whew~!) is the new blue pouch is a different blue. I don't have a camera here @ the office but let's say the above pic describes the suit well - a light gray / blue, which IMHO (& MO only) def is closest to the ESB pics. The new blue pouch is way more blue than gray.

Hope I haven't ruined anyone's day, just thought a heads-up should be in order especially since a few members have agreed that they thought that the pic above was very close to the ESB color...

O.k., here we go, the following is a scan of the materials - it really is incredible how the fabrics look entirely different under different lighting - I mean the original dark gray does not look that dark...

From L-R: Original Dark Gray, New "TK 409" Light Gray, ESB Blue/gray, ESB Blue

    Re: SFP Jumpsuit Bulk Purchase

I have had no response and a lot of people need suit for Halloween. Update this in case you need something. My wife is converting one of these for me...

    http://www.automotiveworkwear.com/Me...ategory_Code=C

They are $27 bucks plus shipping, 100% cotton, and I have a solution to address the double sleeve and shin tool pouches using 1 single suit. The fabric is relativiely easy to match for the pouches and should take dye well (though I am doing Pre-Pro ESB Albino). Order the long inseam, cut the sleeves to mid-arm short, save the long sleeve remnants, hem all edges. Link sleeve remnant with cheap webbing. Put webbing-linked sleeves on first, then put suit on...poof, double sleeve suit. Pant bottoms cut to proper in-seam. Use remnants to make shin tool pockets. Buy a yard or 2 of 100% cotton fabric at Jo-Ann's, Fabric World, etc. Get your mom or wife or girlfriend to sew the stuff, then you have a suit. Only 40 days left to Halloween. Parties are starting early since it is a Sunday Halloween. PM me if you want help on details.

I spoke to Anton at Star Fortress the other day via e-mail and he said that he still hadn't received payment for the first jumpsuit run. Maybe he has since then, but thought I'd mention it since everyone is wanting their jumpsuits before Halloween. His seamstress works fast, but I'm guessing that they won't be worked on until he gets the money. Sorry if that sounds negative. I'm sure Anton will get them out as soon as possible.

there has been strange difficulties with iKOBO SFP credit card payment company, as soon as I can pay, the stuff should be pretty close to on it's way to me, then it will get shipped to everyone.

lol I got my jumpsuit from that same place john, it fits pretty nicely. I also got a long sleeve work shirt, both white I cant do the inseam thing i wouldnt have enough material :| I already fixed mine up and got a local taylor to make the pouches etc. velco flaps on the wrists and ankles so they will stay tight, hose keepers blah blah every time I think I'm done with it I think of something else I forgot.

Since i am doing a custom SOTE boba fett I dyed mine light blue I dont care for the gray jumpsuit much.

Lord I hope this isnt a flake situation, I seem to always end up going in on all the " Group runs " of items that go sour.
No one seems to get that it really is polite and necessary to give updates when youve taken peoples hard earned money.

Even though we have no info, I do hope this delay is not due to injury or anything worse..

Ill hope for the best .........for a little while

I have faith in the good people on this board. Sometimes the waiting for props and stuff can be a little over long, however, I think we can all say it is usually worth the wait.
So lets try to have a little more patients and hope it all turns out well in the end.
    Cheers,

Holy ****! E-mail or PM me if you want my Plan-B option. Buy 1 white $27.00 suit in the link in a previous post by me, above, and 1 yard of white fabric (I will know what best to get on Monday and will post a follow-up) and I will describe how to rectify, or perhaps my wife can help on some if we have time. She is making my adjustments and pouches on Tuesday, her first attempt.

    Good luck!

If you want others to be in on your idea of starting a different run on jumpsuits, maybe you should start your own tread on the subject. All of us here have already paid the money for this run so it's kind of rude to try and get others away from this run, when it's already in the works. I spoke to Anton today and he said that assuming that he is paid soon, the jumpsuits will be ready within the next two weeks. Trust me, Anton is just as excited about you all getting your jumpsuits before Halloween than you are. I've done business with him plenty of times and will always do so. Anton also told me that he would e-mail the gentleman on this end and find out why the payment hadn't been sent yet. If I hear anything else, I'll let you all know.

Rude is presumptuous, and you are allowed to your opinions. All I am doing is offering solutions. All of you have paid money for things that have not even been made, and have to be shipped from Malaysia. Plus, you have 30 days, you may need options...that is all. I wish you all good luck, and I will take your heed and perhaps start a new string.

    Regards,

    John

John, I know your intention and for that we are grateful/appreciative. Please don't take tk1776's message as rude. He's right though, right now it seems like there's a bee's nest about to be disturbed and I think it would be smart for anyone who is not associated to slowly step away.

No less, I would still like to hear what you would have to say in another thread and I am sure quite a few people who have not purchased from this thread would like to hear what you got. In fact, I WOULD like to hear what you want to set up...as I am in the market for purchasing two suits.

    thanks for understanding.

Thanks. Look for a string called "Budget Fett Jumpsuit Mod - 30 day countdown."

Take it easy and thanks again for the message. This helps, I just took a deep breath, drank a beer, and thought...we are all seeking to just have fun. Later!

For everyone involved in the bulk purchase, I recieved this email from Anton on Friday 9/24 after I tried to contact him last week:

    Hello Ryan,

Actually he submitted the sizes and was billed, but we still have not received payment. The suits are near completion, and he's been emailed about the payment again this past week. The suits will be ready to ship on Oct 4.

    Anton

Sounds like we might get our stuff before Halloween

    Re: SFP Jumpsuit Bulk Purchase

Hey everyone sorry for the lack of updates and such. First let me say that the oder is in to SFP and production is underway...there isn't a problem on that end. I haven't had access to a computer in about 2 weeks that is why I haven't been on here. My motherboard is fried and I haven't had time or money to replace it. My work schedule has been hecktic and this is the first chance I've had to get to a library to use a computer.

there was a problem with the credit card company that SFP uses to take payments, but as I said production was started and shipping should still be in time for the 31st. I appologize profusely for any inconvenience. There were some delays in taking some of the last payments due to one of the hurricanes in the FL area,no big deal by itself and no blame is being shifted to that at all, and then due to moving my interenet connection was patchy and it took a couple of extra days to get payment sent to SFP, that's my fault.

I don't have time to read all my PMs and emails today, the library is closing in 5 minutes.

The time delay is basically the same wheather i have been here to coordinate or not, I appologize for not being here to make an appereance. Much of that was out of my control, some of it was not. I assure all of you i didn't take the money and run, production is as on schedule as possible.

thanks for your understanding, and I hope to be back here at the library tomorrow to get back with everyone individually

Again I am soooo incredibly sorry for the lack of updates, my work schelule has been incompatible with the open hours here at the library which closes at 6pm.

The same reasons for not giving updates is the same reason for not being able to work out the already ongoing issues I was having with IKOBO the payment company for SFP, you really don't realize how much you rely on your computer till you don't have access to it.

Thanks for your understanding on what's been going on and i completely understand the frustration and concern.

As a rational person who has been preparing for a long time, most likely, I would be sightly worried. I personally wanted one of these suits and had to go another route due to lack of response.

Got Maul was really cool to me when some folks on this string jumped my A$$ when I offered tutorials to assist people who have spent weeks, maybe months, surfing the web for templates or tips to make armor, buying vinyl and learning how to sew or glue ammo pouches, finding a sign shop to buy Sintra, buying a giant pot to boil it in, convincing their wives and girlfriends to make spats based on pictures of Magic of the Myth and TK-409, making shoes from scratch, and all the other whacky stuff we TDH people do to look like Boba or Jango or Jodo or whatever for 1-or-2 days a year...

I am very glad my money is not tied up in this venture. I may not have a triple-hemmed, reinforced upside-down-seamed, double sleeved jumpsuit in the perfect color for Halloween or C3...but I will have a jumpsuit to go with all the other stuff I worked so hard on. If anyone needs a band-aid tutorial, just PM me, and if this reply has perhaps ticked some of you off at me, send that energy to the guy that sent your money to Malaysia or where-ever.

With all due respect, we are all aware of your alternatives, Bigaboy. You've already communicated your points, so there's no need to constantly remind us about it in this thread. Every time you do, it feels like you're insinuating that those of us who've spent money on this are being irrational or foolish. I really don't appreciate it, to be honest. Furthermore, you seem to be very aware that what you're saying is potentially ticking people off, so I'm not sure why you persist.

Luckily for myself, I'm not in a hurry, so maybe I'm more patient and forgiving than most people on the list. Please understand that if I hadn't already spent the money on this order, I would likely be looking through your ideas... in your own seperate thread.

payment will be western unioned to SFP today after I get off work...the work is completed, stuff should get to me very soon and shipped out to you all as soon as I get it. Depending on if I get my computer up and running before then, I might need some of you to resend your shipping information. that shouldn't be the case for most of you, but just a little bit of heads up to keep your eyes open on you PMs in the next week

again thanks for your understanding in my lack of updates

they are coming to me then getting sent out. I'll send it right back out as soon as i get it. I'll send it overnite if I have to for those who need it by the 31st. I haven't been able to figure out how to track the package, it was sent EMS Express Post from the phillipines, so if anyone can give me some help there that would be good.

if you could ask them how long it generally takes, that would be great.

as far as 6 days, are you counting weekends or just biz days?

if 6 days is accurate, that should put them here Monday...crunch time...

EDIT: The email I got from him is dated the 15th...it's been over a week now...lets hope there wasn't a customs hold up or something crazy like that.

finally figured out how to track it! Through USPS.com here's what I got...

Your item left MANILA, PHILIPPINES at 6:13 pm on October 21, 2004. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.

i had been trying usps for several days before this, so this may have been the first stop that was actually capable of scanning and tracking it.

I'll post updates as I get them

I received them this afternoon and they got shipped out this evening via fedex express 2nd day air, and the girl told me they will be to you by Thursday.

thanks for your patience everyone and I can't apologize enough for the delay and lack of communication there for awhile.

my suit looks awesome and so does everyone elses. I wish I would have taken the time to take a picture of all the suits spread out across the living room, that would have made a cool picture, but i wanted to make sure and get them to the fedex place before the cutoff to get them out today.

    Enjoy!

I got mine and its like it was tailor made for me. I ordered a medium with a tall sleeve (I got some way long arms) Wow this fits nice. I am 6 foot tall and 165 lbs. If you are about this size then the medium should fit you like it does me and TK-409. I am very happy with my purchase. It was as I predicted, well worth the wait.
