  1. 2 Weeks Ago - Dec 2, 2014, 11:57 AM - Seeking Harness #1

My ROTJ Boba Fett is coming along nicely, but I have hit a snag in the building process. I still have not acquired a jet pack harness, and I can't seem to find any that are currently available. I am open to both soft and metal-replica options depending on pricing. ManofWar is out of stock along with many others who have posted recent threads in the Cargo Hold.

Does anyone know of someone in particular that may be able to help me out?

I bought the 3d printed harness from toolguy301. It seems good, but I haven't got my jetpack yet to try it out. You have to track down the straps and buckle yourself though.

Hmm. Let me know how it goes. Have you found a good strap source?

Strap Works has an excellent selection of hardware and webbing.

    For the scuba-replica design?

Not for the physical harness. I'm taking about the webbing that is attached to the hardness and the hardware and straps the shoulder straps and tightens it.

No problem. I had my harness made by a metal fabricator locally from the templates here and bought all my straps and hardware from Strapworks.

Did that route seem to be more cost effective?

I also got my webbbing from Strapworks. I bought the hooks, clips and buckle from Full Metal Fett. There is some sewing involved.

Good to know. My wife can take care of that part. I'm hesitant to go with 3D printing for this particular part, though.

I mean it was a lot faster to get finished and was around the same price for good accurate harnesses. It's solidly made that's for sure.

Fair enough. Time is definitely a concern for me.

Took under a week from green lighting the quote to pick up. I quoted about 5-7 companies in my area.

I just bought a Bobamaker harness. I will eventually upgrade, but this will be good for now. Thanks for everyone's help!

Does Bobamaker make metal harnesses or soft?

They are soft; not screen accurate.

I bought a 3d printed harness from toolguy and the webbing and seatbelt strapping from ebay, buckle hooks and clips are from 'full metal fett' - It's light, comfortable, strong, and relatively inexpensive. And a very quick turnaround.

Great setup. I appreciate the pics, too. I definitely plan on going with an option like this eventually.

I was thinking of getting the 3d printed one as well. Could someone maybe give me a rundown/list of the straps I will need from strapworks? I am not entirely sure what all I should be getting as far as widths and adjustment pieces. I already have the hooks and clips from Full Metal Fett.

This is what I went with & have it posted in my sale thread. All hardware & strapping was from Strapworks. If this helps any.
