Seeking 501st approval. Going to be changed some bits up.

Hi guys, I know I just started a threat about my costume, but that was the build, this is me wanting to get to 501st level :p

I recently popped by the UK Garrison at London Comic-Con and I got an overall good response. But I want it all to be the best stuff I can get :p. I have currently spent £1,200 or more and 2 months making this. So for two months work, it isn't too bad! :p

Things I know I need to upgrade & buy:

- A better Jetpack, mine has some details missing around the thrusters & the rocket.
- Some new paint on my Helmet (the back areas need a darker green dusted over the blue/green as it's too blue). And I am awaiting on the stencils for my kill stripes & some decals are on their way. Oh and a better visor as mine is a currently a make shift acetate one as I was pressed for time.
- Shoulder armour, as I was meant to be making an ESB Fett, but Rich from Richies Armor sent them in orange, not yellow and they have the ROTJ decal... :(
- Chest armour needs the black/red lights panel.
- I need toe spikes.
- Bolts/keyboard keys on shoulders to hold collar & back armour. (including the cape through the bolt).
- Gauntlets. I have actually been sent the ROTJ right gauntlet by Richies Armor, but painted green. So I need to get hold of some new gauntlets as mine are the wrong shape haha.
- Side Arm & holster is missing, so I need one.
- Pouches under the utility belt are a bit too blue.
- I need to attach some velcro inside the knees as they keep slipping down.

Anything else I have missed let me know! Here are some photos:

Excellent fett considering budget, time spent making it. Shame I missed you at expo.

You've got your work cut out for you if you wanna get UKG clearance mate. The gent that oversees clearance is a fett head himself and knows his stuff.

Besides what you've mentioned it looks to me like you'll need to take your vest up so the bottom of it is just below the ab armour. There should be a gap between the vest and the belt of about 1.5- 2 inches.
You'll also need a girth belt that sits below the leather belt.
Also looks like your knee armour is too light, in esb they're closer to orange than yellow.

I wish you all the best bud.

OK! Here we go:
- I would recommend you to rise your helmet a little bit by padding the inside, especially the dome top area, this way you won't look like you don't have a neck.
- Don't forget that the ESB has one orange and one yellow shoulder, while the knees are all orange (your actual knee yellow should be the left shoulder color, and the shoulder orange goes to the knees).
- Your armor is ROTJ, the base green is darker and the scratches are different compared to the ESB armor.
- The collar must be on top of the back plate and not vice-versa.

I know it's too much, but I guess these are the requirements (with the ones you mentioned) for an accurate suit for the 501st approval.

Good luck on your quest!

Haha. I knew this was going to be hard, but not this hard. haha. Things will be up for sale soon from the looks of it!

Also, in terms of raising my helmet up a bit, it is as high as it could go so I can still see. But I think it's my collar armour. It's sitting quite high off my vest... so I think that's the issue :p

I'll be happy to take some of those less-than-accurate parts off your hands, JayBox...
I'm looking to upgrade my Rubies jetpack and shoulder bells, for instance. :D

And yeah, try flattening that collar armour down a little. It's just a little too rounded, I imagine.

Yaw, looks like it could be your collar armour. That being said a lot of people end up looking through the center part of the visor because they've raised their helmet. Some would say field of vision is less important than accuracy.
