    SE Fett question

So here's my first dumb newb question (first of many probably):
Does the SE version of the Boba Fett costume utilize ROTJ style on all soft parts? I guess to simplify it more... is it accurate to say that the SE version utilizes the ESB helmet and ROTJ everything else?
    Thanks so much.

There are more pouches on the belt of the SE, and I think the skull switched shoulders.

That's good to know; thanks. So all the other items from the neck down (I'm especially wondering about the flightsuit) are ROTJ then?
    Thanks for the help.

Just curious, is there guidelines/specs/requirements for the different SE versions. Because there is so much inconsistencies in the movie, promo pics, and SW Fett costumes displayed.

    Re: SE Fett question

In all honesty guys, if you are going for 501st membership with a fett, you have to have I believe 3 seperate pieces of reference is it?

So if you want to do either one, whichever variant, be it PP3, or ANH, or SE ANH, or ROTJ, whichever, do whichever you want to do.

Hi Oscar, yes 12, but you will struggle to see them all in one photo, I think there may be one or two, but yes 12 pouches. Having said that I am sure you can get an SE cleared with the 501st with a ROTJ 8 pouch belt.

Also, look out for a little package!

    Re: SE Fett question

For my SE I also use one ROTJ side pouch and one ESB side pouch (1x buff 1x grey) you may also want one Pre-pro knee too, but again a ROTJ works well.

The wookie braids differ from ROTJ on the SE, he has 3, Black, white and blonde for want of a better description.

So 12 pouches Need to get 4 more then And Maybe I found someone who are intrested to trade 1 pre pro knee for my ROTJ knee.

Just one thing... who was it who found out that he had 12 ? I thought I had lookt on allmost all threads with SE seens my 100% SE thread

In ANH SE, the helmet is actually ROTJ. So really the main thing there is just the switched shoulder bells--which just looks stupid. What's the point there?

And if you go with ROTJ SE, you technically should wear the rope girth belt peeking above your ammo belt--which also looks kinda weird.

I like the AOSW version with a pretty standard ammo belt, presence of shin tools, an ESB helmet with ROTJ suit and jetpack--that's the look I prefer. But I still like little variations, like the side belt bags worn on the ammo belt, etc., so mine will probably never be 100% like any one version.

This is all good education, if not somewhat confusing.
So what I'm geting from this thread is that the Legion isn't that much of a stickler when it come to getting 501st approved then? One can mix and match a bit then as long as it doesn't go overboard? Thanks.

Well, it's just at the behind the scene pictures he wear the girth over the ammo, but at the posters and other with the SE. he got the girth normal!

They don't show below chest level in the actual ROTJ SE footage, but I'm assuming he's wearing it the same as in the behind the scene pics taken presumably within seconds of filming a take.

What clearly IS shown in the actual footage is that he's wearing the ruined jetpack witht the big chunk taken out of the back.

Now how many people who believe their ROTJ SE outfit is pretty accurate to what's actually on screen use a ruined jetpack?

Well, I know of one that is planning to do it

Yes, the promo pics are what so many people go by when they talk about the SE version . . . which is ironic considering he never looks like that on the film. On the promo shoot pics, he's got an extra gauntlet hose black friction-taped to his gauntlet rocket, too, which is something else I never seen anyone do. And if they go by those pics for direction on the suit, why don't they cut their blaster scope in half to match those pics?

Bottom line . . . I've now begun to consider the promo shoot pics another variation of the costume, and not actually the true SE edition costume.

So you've really got 8 distinct versions of the Fett costume:

    1. Albino Fett / Super trooper
    2. PP1
    3. PP2
    4. PP3
    5. ESB
    6. ROTJ
    7. ROTJ SE (with ESB helmet, ruined jetpack, and a curious absence of a blaster in hand)
    8. SE Promo Shoot Fett (ROTJ suit with ESB helmet, 12 ammo pouches, gauntlet hose attached to gauntlet rocket with friction tape, presence of a blaster--usually with the cut scope--and an intact jetpack)

I don't count ANH SE since it's basically an ROTJ suit with reversed shoulder bells. In addition to that one, you have the more minor variations of what shin tools he might wear in a given scene, the touring suit before ESB, the variant prepro suit showing him wearing the Sandy Helmet (what I use for my signature pic), the MOM costume (essentially ROTJ without shin tools), ROTJ stunt suit, and the AOSW costume (essentially ROTJ SE but with an intact jetpack, a blaster, and the standard 9 ammo pouches, etc.).

    WHEWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
